Bought some paving after viewing online, it was delivered by courier due to the distance and was delivered the day after it was promised although this in itself wasn’t an issue for me but could have been for others.

The problems started the minute I watch the pallet wheeler off the truck. What first struck me was the colour. It was totally different than shown and described. Then there was the obvious damage to the corners of probably about 15% of the whole order. Then there was the general condition, absolutely filthy. Looks like it had been stored for years in a busy yard. None of this was mentioned in the advert.

So naturally I rang to say I wasn’t happy and I wanted to reject the delivery on multiple grounds (all of which were justified). I was told I could return it but I would have to to pay for the haulage costs!! They’re slow to reply to emails of which I had to chase them several times. They also didn’t reply when I asked if they would replace the damaged pavers. Awful company. Feel genuinely ripped off and I wish I’d read the reviews from others on here as it seems they’ve all had the same sorts of problems.

Thankfully I paid by credit card so I’m currently in the process of doing W section 75 claim back.

Don’t be tempted by the cheap prices. There’s a reason why there’s a lack of description against their products on their website and it’s so they can sell you stuff below expectations and put the blame on the customer. Shocking company! Pay a bit more and buy elsewhere.

I arrived at 7.15am as arranged with a member of staff to drop down money off for a delivery I had the next day ,
The yard opens at 7am but the shop floor at half 7, the manager was barking at me like some demented hound , saying I had ruined his day by asking who I could leave £600 with for my order ,
I went elsewhere in the end and told him to stuff it , very rude and there was no need for attitude ! No customers no business you clown

Awful rip-off untrustworthy company, obnoxious rude lying, argumentative staff,zero customer service, selling inferior quality and damaged,chipped discoloured,storage crate damaged patio slabs.
Do not ever use or trust this company. I had to issue court proceedings to get them to refund money for faulty goods. Still over £1100 out of pocket.
These people are liars and cheats and even lied to the court in there response.The worst people l have ever dealt with. Avoid like the plague.

My husband placed an order with Country Supplies a few weeks (possibly a month ago) and he said the admin staff were very nice. When placing the order he made it clear that I (his wife) would be home all day awaiting the delivery, and asked that the delivery driver contact him when on his way so that he (my husband) could tell the driver where to drop the items (at the back of our house in our garden drive). The admin said they would pass the message onto the driver.

So before writing my complaint I will set the scene. It was a nice day and I and the children were home ALL DAY, at my husbands request. We were in the garden ALL DAY, and just to let you know we have the ring camera at the front of the house and at the back of the house and we had 3 other deliveries that day and all the other deliveries were on the ring camera video footage and my phone pinged for every delivery that came, making me aware that I had someone at my front door.

So onto my complaint. My husband arrived home after a long day of work, 8pm, and asked me if I had received a phone call from Country Supplies and I said NO. I asked when they would be delivering our order and he said that the order had been delivered and left on the pavement at the front of our house. As the delivery driver never came into my front garden my ring doorbell/camera was not activated. The delivery driver NEVER rang my door bell, called or put a note in the door to tell us that he arrived. So when my husband arrived, WE had to bring all of the items which included 6 concrete gravel boards, 6 concrete posts, a corner concrete post, 7 bags of post mix (20kg each), over 200 pieces of wood for our fence and much more through the house and into the back garden. I wish I had taken pictures of the bruises on my wrists to show you.

I called the company to complain and all I was offered was a sorry.

I had moved on from this, but today my builders arrived at our house to start the fencing job and informed me that we were missing the bolts, the screws and the washers for the job. My builder contacted Country Supplies and we were informed that these pieces were just missed off of the order. HOW THE HELL DO YOU MISS this off the list. So today I had to drive my builder to Country Supplies to collect the missing pieces, and we were given the screws and the bolts and again my builder had to ask for the washers.

I do not write reviews, especially not this long, and I will say that I want my last few pieces to arrive safely and to the correct part of my house with a phone call as we received cracked concrete pieces and this will be the last time I get my husband to use this company.

Yes they have stock but CHECK your order thoroughly when it arrives and WAIT OUTSIDE ALL DAY if you have asked the driver to call you.

I have worked for and used many different supply companies over the years and this is one of the worst.

Country Supplies get a new driver or send them on training and make sure they get someone to sign off their bits so nothing is missed off or cracked on delivery.

Materials were delivered in a prompt manner and were well packaged.
I would highly recommend Country Supplies.

I found the company helpful with its advice, and the delivery driver was absolutely fantastic. He went above and beyond my expectations, by realising where we needed the topsoil, and suggesting he open the bags in the area to be covered. He saved us hours of back-breaking work in this heat. Please pass my thanks on to him.

Went to look at slabs waited in the queue and spoke to a chap who simply said it’s over there we are too busy to help! We saw customers walk away very very arrogant service now going somewhere else as the feedback on this site is bad and matches what we had even before ordering. Avoid terrible Co.

Awful customer service. Wrong stones delivered, they denied any responsibility despite there being three opportunities for Country Supplies to correct and then refused to rectify, any solution was going to be at our expense. Claimed the phone call wasn't recorded (opposite to what their automated system states!).

Would never use them again, read other reviews I wish I had... I am not the first to have the same problems.

I ordered some paving weeks ago. The day before delivery they called to say they didn’t have the goods but would deliver 2 days later. Called day before, they confirmed delivery. Called on the day of delivery, they confirmed morning delivery. Called the afternoon of delivery, they confirmed delivery. The goods failed to arrive. Unbelievably bad company, avoid using them as they are completely unreliable with no customer service evident.

Don't be fooled by their lower prices this company is just awful over and over and over again.

As a tradesman, I've purchased around £8000 worth of stock from this company of the past few years and going forward from their latest debacle, I will never purchase from them again. Believe me, It's worth paying a few extra quid to a different company who isn't so arrogant.

Every single time I've phoned up their sales/transport line I'm met with a cocky male or female who's constantly reluctant to assist me.

I ordered around £3000 of timber from this company, 3 weeks in advance to when it was required. THE DAY BEFORE I started the job they call me and let me know that they won't be able to fulfil my order as they don't have the wood sizes. Bare in mind I had a whole month booked up for the completion of this project. I ask when they will have to wood in stock and the female phone operator replies 'I don't know to be honest' and we ended the phone call.

Thankfully on this occaision, a male called me back up and let me know that they can send out the much larger sizes and that they would cover the loss. More cutting for me and the team, but fine, I was appreciative of their customer orriented innititive and although shocked that I could have lost a months' worth of wages due to their incompetance, I moved on and made more purchases with them.

THE LAST STRAW though was when I had order around £300 worth of stock, more than 2 weeks in advance for a specific date.

I get a call at 1pm, 6 days prior to the organised delivery date, from a truck driver saying 'I'm outside with your delivery, how do I get in?'. As mentioned earlier, I am a trade customer and so the driver wasn't even at my house. The client was expecting the delivery on a different date and therefore wasn't home!

I'm left calling up their office, frantically trying to find out what's going on, only to be met for the last time ever by a disgusting attitude from the female employee. I'm told that if they don't drop it off right now then they won't be able to drop it off at all. No prior warning! Just take it or stick it.

Order could not be accepted, I then managed to make the order from another local company that isn't arrogant in the way this one is. It cost the client £50 quid more, but it was a pleasure for both of us to give money to a company that deserves it.

You've created a successful business by driving the prices of your products down, however you will slowly lose this business and big purchasers like myself and other colleagues in the trade as we vow to never purchase from you again. Enough is enough. Your incompetence undermines and negatively affects OUR businesses and so we will do the same to yours.

The only positive that I have to say about this company is that the lads who work in the yard, collecting for tickets, are top quality. The owners/office staff don't deserve the great staff that they have in the yard.

Delivery was fine and efficient for all the wood required for a 14 sq metre deck.
Have to say that the quality of the deck boards ranged from good to unusable. They refunded for the unusable stock as I could not wait for additional delivery.
Have never bought decking boards before, but was surprised at the amount of splitting on probably 25% of the boards.
Overall project looks good, but not as good as expected. Maybe this is nromal?

I ordered 26 oak sleepers from them. When they were delivered, we noticed that some of them had forklift oil on them, it wasn't until we started unstacking them that we noticed 24 out of the 26 were either stained by the oil, bent or cracked. I contacted Countrysupplies and was asked to send over pictures of the damage. The business owner advised me that what we had received was acceptable. This is how they receive them from their supplier. I asked why the pictures on their website were not a true reflection of their product - his response was that the picture they show was from a customers finished project. At no point did he even offer an apology - he really didn't seem bothered by the fact that we would be unable to use a large number of the sleepers. I will be buying my sleepers from somewhere else to finish our project.

I ordered 30 bags of 50L compost. Chose not to order bulk bag as our house is away from the main road and requires dolly/pallet trolley to deliver last 100 m.

There is no warning on the website that they deliver pallets only. Driver turned up without any equipment at all. The only suggestion he (and the customer service of country supplies) had is to unload it on the main road (in central London!) and let me shift the 1.5 cubic meters of compost myself. When I declined, I was informed that they will charge me failed delivery £55. I was even willing to have another delivery (with pallet trolley this time), but the customer service representative said they can't do that in principle -- i.e. they do not have equipment to deliver the order to the doorstep.

Bottomline: if you are not living on the main road or if you are not able to accept pallet delivery do not use country supplies as they will deliver even smaller sized items on a pallet.

So impressed with delivery!
I just had my delivery from Country Supplies - 5 x tonne bags to be craned over the back of my garden fence.
Driver was great - backing through a housing estate with no complaints, and he managed to manoeuvre around a parked car (that had ignored my bollards and signs not to park) and somehow get the delivery done.
No complaints from driver - made it look easy - 20 mins in and out. Will definitely use again.

They may be ok with their customers but it's not the same with their suppliers....they order supplies of stone on 40 tonne trucks, give us a delivery time of 0800 with instructions not to arrive early due to access to their yard..then when I arrive at 0758 I find they have pulled another truck in and started to unload him leaving me sat in the road..then tell me I am causing an obstruction and have to move otherwise they will reject the load!!!...and as anyone who knows the area will tell you there is nowhere to park a truck for miles!...
They are unorganised and ignorant..and I am refusing to deliver here any more.

I have ordered a number of times from Country Supplies and have always found them friendly and helpful. They are quick with their delivery times and, as they have their own fleet of vehicles, I can always get a hiab delivery at no extra cost as our driveway is sloped downhill and we cannot accept pallet deliveries. I was impressed with their new Shana Showroom the other day and found the staff to be very attentive and helpful.

Over £3k of porcelain patio tiles bought from Country Supplies. After cotractor installed them a few days later (after rain) there were pools of water randomly across the patio. Country came to look, checked a few tiles. After a month i heard nothing. Country Supplies blamed the installer and stated the patio was to spec but did not state the spec. Country chased me for payment, again blaming the installer and that my patio was ok to have pools of water. Their telephone manner was abrupt, almost aggressive and latterly threatening me with legal action. They refused to accept any of their tiles could be wrong. Though clearly they were. 5 months of arguing and threats I had enough. Never will I use Country Supplies again!

I've been a customer for 10 years now, over that time the product range has grown steadily, with a great a choice and more importantly large stock levels and still at competitive prices!
They have a superb and diverse delivery fleet, that can cater for the most taxing sites, this coupled with friendly and helpful stuff through the businesses, have no problem scoring them 5*.
