Scratched, longer than quoted, more expensive than quoted
Originally the diagnostic took longer than quoted by a few days. Then when the problem of the laptop was diagnosed I was quoted £122 - fine. It took over 3 weeks from the point of collection to redelivery. Upon redelivery the price was £144 and the laptop is now scratched from the old track pad being taped to the top and being treated with very little care. Wouldn’t recommend

We are sorry to hear that you were unhappy with the service, although we do feel it is important to clarify a few points.
The quoted repair cost was £120 plus VAT, making the total £144, which is the amount charged. We understand there may have been some confusion around the VAT element, and the technician has offered to return the £24 difference as a gesture of goodwill.
Regarding the timescale, our understanding is that you were advised at the outset that the required trackpad needed to be sourced and that this was expected to take around 2 to 3 weeks. The repair was then completed within that expected timeframe.
We are also sorry to hear your comments about scratching to the laptop. Your laptop was returned around 10 days before this review was left, and this concern had not previously been raised with us, so we had not been given the opportunity to resolve it for you. The technician involved has since contacted you directly and offered to replace the affected part free of charge.
We always appreciate the opportunity to resolve any concerns directly, and in this case both the price concern and the reported cosmetic issue were addressed with offers of remedy on the day this review was posted. We understand that neither offer has been taken up at the time of this reply.

Local, Reliable and Friendly? I think not.
Ten days after submitting my request for support - which as it happens was advertised as a ‘same-day service’ - I am still waiting for the Local, Reliable and Friendly technician to bother to get back in touch to book an appointment.
Initial enquiry on 21 May and automated reply saying it had been logged and someone would be in touch.
Emailed on 23 May and received a response from Omar stating he had been busy and would be in touch on Monday 25th.
It’s now the 31st.
It’s not like I rely on my laptop for working from home or anything.
Terrible ‘same-day’ service and nowhere near Reliable!

I am very sorry that your enquiry was not handled well on this occasion. Our communication and follow-up were not up to our usual high standards.
There were availability issues with the technician covering your area at the time, but this should have been communicated to you promptly so you could make alternative arrangements without further delay.
We have addressed this internally and will be making sure that technician availability is handled more carefully, so customers are not left waiting without a clear update.
I appreciate this does not undo the inconvenience caused, but we do want to acknowledge that we got this wrong and apologise sincerely for falling short on this occasion.

Excellent help from Jason. Laptop was collected and returned to my home all fixed within 24 hours. Explained what was wrong with it so I could understand as I’m not tech savvy. Will 100% use him again should I have any other issues and will definitely recommend him to family and friends

I had three massive computer problems, ongoing since January, which no-one had been able to solve. Saeed came round in a flash and fixed all three of them in under an hour. So I’m in the Kent area and Ben was supposed to be turning up today at 10am and he no showed, when I rang him around 10 past 10 he answered and says he was running behind and half mumbling (sounded half asleep) he suggested rescheduling???
No pre warning he was running behind or anything, what an absolute waste of my time took the day off work for nothing. I will not trying this service ever again. If I could zero stars I would. What a joke. Fuming!

We’ve looked into this with Ben to understand what happened. The appointment had been arranged for 10:30am, with a reminder issued the evening before. When you called shortly after 10am, he confirmed the booking time and advised he may be running slightly behind, as can sometimes happen with field-based work.
During that call, he explained that, based on the issue described, the computer may need to be taken back to his workshop rather than completed on-site. Following that discussion, we understand you advised Ben not to proceed, and the appointment was cancelled before the scheduled time.
For clarity, this was not a missed appointment. Ben remained available to attend, but the visit did not go ahead following your request to cancel it.
Repairs of this nature are not always possible to complete in the home and, in many cases, require off-site diagnosis and equipment to be resolved properly.

Having been without internet for 5 days and BT unable to resolve the issue with my computer I contacted David at Computer repair man. Within minutes David had identified the issue and explained clearly how to fix it. - Resolved - Brilliant service.

Two experiences.
I have had two experiences with this company; both being extremely positive. First they sorted out a hashed attempt at upgrading from Windows 10 to 11 carried out by another company, and secondly removed a nasty little virus, which I caused to pop up - without losing or affecting my files, photos etc
