Delivery takes an age, good luck in Winter when you're freezing your balls off.

Excellent riendly service, would like to especially thank Nicola for helping with a small problem which was solved immediately, nothing was too much trouble.

No complaints here - bulk ordered smokeless coal which arrived less than 48 hours afterwards, delivered by a friendly and helpful delivery driver :-)

Zero communication, never received an order confirmation, 3 times I’ve tried contacting them via their enquiry page to ask about delivery never got a response. 10 days after they took my money still haven’t got a clue when or if delivery will ever happen.
The 5* reviews on feefo must all be fake reviews.

Ordered Sunday and delivered today. Good price and liked the displayed alternative product option at checkout, which I took...
What was also great was the delivery man stacked the bags next to my coal bunker. Which meant pushing his barrow approx 100m from the kerbside.

Received my second delivery. Ordered more after positive first delivery. Excellent quality, great delivery men, very helpful and polite. Excellent customer service over the telephone (Dawn) Will be ordering again.

No problem with the quality of the coal delivered and the speed of delivery - received within 5 days of order BUT something is going wrong administratively. I do have an account with Coals2U as I have used them for many years so perhaps that is the reason why I did not receive an email confirming my order, but I also did not receive any notification of the delivery it just arrived, fortunately in my case it did not present a problem as I am retired however I can see problems for working families. I have just checked my online account and my order is flagged as 'processing'??
For these reasons I can only give 3 stars, but I would give 5 stars to the delivery driver who was pleasant and helpful, and nothing was too much trouble...well done that driver.
Would I order again - yes I would, but I wish they could do better administratively.

The ‘smokeless’ fuel they delivered for our Rayburn is anything but smokeless. It stinks and generates dust and smoke that now pervades the house and garden. They can no longer supply anthracite and recommended this product, which is supposed to be ‘Phurnacite’ although we didn’t see the sacks when the delivery was made. I am going to have to involve the consumer protection and environmental protection departments of the council to investigate.

I’ve ordered coal & logs from here for a good few years. I always factor in a 2 week delivery period as their deliveries are never made ‘on time.’ However, something is going badly wrong at the minute as this order has taken 4 weeks and, just to cap it off, we got no warning it was being delivered despite having called the office earlier in the week. Thankfully we were at home or, like another reviewer, we would have come back to piles of coal & logs outside our front door.
The irony is that after 3 weeks’ waiting I got a call from their sales dept asking if I wanted to order more. Good job it went straight to voicemail or he’d have got both barrels. If this company were more upfront about delivery times it would be something but the office seems to have no idea where orders are and if they’re scheduled for delivery.
The only reason I’ve given 2 stars is because, without fail, the delivery drivers have been exceptional. They always go out of their way to help as much as they can.
Not sure if we’ll order again next year but if we do we’ll be ordering in June!

Awful. No communication after waiting three weeks. Coal suddenly arrived without warning so I hadn’t left gate unlocked.was told I’d get an email and text the night before. Had nothing. So just home late from work and had to lug it all round the back as bags left out the front.screwed up delivery note through the letterbox. Rude man on phone.lucky it wasn’t stolen. Will never order from them again.

Shocking really shocking... after 3 weeks of no communication i asked for a refund to be told that they cant as they have a problem with there system. Opened a frued case with my bank hopefully will see my money again.

Appalling customer experience. Ordered over 3 weeks ago online. Delivery arrived today (finally!). Sent 2 emails chasing and called them on the phone last Monday. Talked to a lady who was particularly unhelpful. 5 days later I finally got an email giving a delivery date of today (no time though...). Strangely, they had no issues taking my money as soon as they could. Won't be using them again. Avoid at all costs!

Wish I had read these reviews before ordering.
My payment went through 20th September, still waiting. Spoke to someone on the phone on 3rd October and they said delivery would be today. Still no word and now can't get through on the phone, waited 20 minutes and was then cut off.
I will never use them again

I had an order last year that took a long time to arrive but I thought I’d chance it this year as the prices are competitive.
I wish I hadn’t bothered as over two weeks on they still cannot tell me when my delivery is scheduled yet they have had the money. Nice little earner if you can get away with it I guess.
Still lesson learned I won’t be ordering next year and if this order does not come soon I will be cancelling and getting m6 money back.

Just phoned to make sure delivery of large order (£674), would be first week of November rather than end of October due to husbands return being delayed. First order number didn't come up then, according to their records, delivery has been made. NO IT HASN'T. Apparently looking into it and calling back. Not impressed. Coals2u did not contact me but husband has sorted (via email)with freight company who actually know what is happening.

Placed an order for 35 bags, as local (less than half a mile away) CPL depot no longer does cash and carry.

Order stuck in processing, no emails, phone no help unable to trace the order (yet you've managed to take my money!).

NOT HAPPY. Ordered a special offer ‘package’ of coal, firefighters and stuff on 1st September 2022. Had an email on the 5th saying sorry there are SLIGHT delays. I’ve phoned twice now…..”Ooo sorry. Held at Gatwick/if they haven’t got 1 item they won’t deliver……” etc, etc. ALSO I got “Ill pass this to customer services and someone will ring you back”. LIARS!! They have had £167 of my money since 1 September and no one can give me any idea of when my deliver will turn up, if at all. Very poor customer service. I’m still able to order more coal though!! BEWARE!

Read all the poor reviews but decided to take a chance. Placed order then got a message 5 days later saying order running late. Emailed the address given to cancel order but just get message back saying not delivered. Poor Service.

Not great service at all, ordered coal 2 weeks ago, rang at end of 1st week was told it would be 10 working days and that i would receive an email. No coal or email so rang again after 10 working days to be told it would be 15 working days. I live 4 miles from the depot. I could carry it home one bag at a time faster.

Fantastic service, ordered a ton of anthracite and it came 10 days later. All communication from the delivery company was top notch.
