Being coached by Harv these past few months has truly been a blessing. I have made progress that I never thought I’d achieve and have been supported and uplifted by him and G every step of the way. From day 1 when I had my starting call with Harv to talk about my goals and lifestyle as a university student to now, 12 weeks into my journey, I have never felt judged or like I couldn’t ask for help if I needed it whether it be around tracking, exercise form or general advice. Harv and G have always been there whenever I had questions, always motivating and encouraging me when it comes to my nutrition and my workouts. The weekly check ins with Harv are always so helpful and detailed also that I always feel good after them, which is really the way I can best describe CoachedbyGLJ, it’s not about strict diets, torturous workouts and feeling miserable, it’s about FEELING good and having balance with zero restriction, all whilst achieving your goals. From someone who before struggled with super low calorie diets, intense exercise and feeling trapped around food, to a girl who is eating MORE, doing 4 gym sessions a week (and loving it!), eats her favourite foods everyday and has STILL lost weight despite these things goes to show how worth it CoachedbyGLJ is. I'd been going to the gym for a couple of years consistently and I just wasn't seeing any type of improvement. I decided that it was time to get some help and happened to come across coachedbyglj after following G for years, I was apprehensive at first, but honestly this has been the BEST thing for me.
Harv has been so so helpful over the past 9 weeks, I've really been enjoying eating more protein and tracking my macros, despite being worried about becoming too obsessed, I've felt like the balance has been great. Whenever I'm unsure on something I can turn to Harv for advice. I know now my form has improved and I'm starting to feel much stronger!
I'm slowly feeling way better about myself! Thank you so much!

I chose Coached by GLJ mainly because of their very positive reviews and was in their coaching for about half a year. I quit the coaching some time ago with very mixed feelings and have been thinking quite a time if I should publish a review but finally decided to do so. So here it is:
Positive things first:
GLJ are an extremely friendly and polite team. Communication has always been a pleasure - fast, friendlly, accountable. I also liked the exercises given, the comprehensive video feedback and their patient help to really work on a correct form.
They also took into account personal likes and dislikes as well as heath-related matters.
Now for the less positive aspects:
I have been in their coaching for almost half a year. I did strength training 3x a week, cardio 2x a week, and limited my calories until 1400 calories. And I did loose almost no weight, and - even worse - built zero muscle. This was very disappointing, if not even devastating. And this was the point where the coaching felt like a waste of time and money: There were no explanations from their side, only: "Your calorie deficit isn't very high" (being on 1400 calories!!!) or "you don't train very much" (5x week, being a working mum) or "you didn't increase weight or repetitions well enough so you can't build muscle" (why didn't you tell me earlier?!) or "you can't build muscle on a calorie defict" (ok, but for what am I doing it then?). Some of these statements were even contradictory. So I began questioning the concept. And they didn't like to hear that, of course. It seemed like it was all my fault that it didn't work. And I tried and worked so hard. I have hardly ever been so frustrated in my life. And it really, really affected my relationship to food.
We tried to give it a good ending, they gave me an exercise routine for the time after the coaching, which was very friendly. However, they have quite a strict cancellation policy - I think it should have been easier to quit when the concept obviously didn't work for me. So I left with very mixed feelings.
Loosing weight and improving muscles - especially for women around 40 - is much much more than "calories in - calories out". It's about hormones, it's about stress, it's about microbiome, it's about a healthy metabolism, it's about eating carbs strategically. I made up my own mind in the meantime, eat a lot more than with Coached by GLJ, don't count calories or steps, and: I have lost 6 pounds in 3 weeks AND - most important - have been able to keep that weight up for 6 weeks now including a holiday.
My summary: The concept of GLJ will possibly work if you are a woman maybe in your 20s with a healthy metabolism and a lot of time for you and your body. However, women with a metabolism which is stressed by life, working, kids, family, and many attempts to loose weight in the past will only be stressed more by this rigid program, and, most of all, being given the fault if it doesn't work. Another voice claiming that women are never good enough in this world. And I think this should change, with a respect for the complexity and wonder of the female body which is so much more that "eat less, move more" or "calories in, calories out".
Just my 2 cents.

Working with Louise over the last 4 months has been great! She has taken the guess work out of dieting and exercise for me and has laid out a plan that works with my lifestyle instead of it feeling like I have to make huge sacrifices to reach my goals. I especially love how positive and encouraging Louise is at each check in. Even if I’m feeling discouraged, she has been there to keep me pushing through and stay focused on my goals. The whole team was so encouraging from day 1 and I have seen a huge difference in my physical appearance, as well in my mentality around food!

I signed up with CoachedbyGLJ with the aim of losing fat in a way that i could realistically sustain as a busy working mum. Over the past 12 weeks, not only has the scale weight dropped, G has also helped me to improve my exercise form, gain strength, and learn about nutrition in a way which has allowed me to lose weight no matter life’s circumstances!
On this programme, not only are there weekly checkins where progress over the past week is reviewed & we strategise for the upcoming week in a way that is tailored to my life, i also get to chat with G daily on whatsapp to update on the day’s progress and ask any questions which G is always happy to responded to. Love how supportive and empowering the coaching has been. 100000% recommend CoachedbyGLJ!

I worked with G for the past 9 months and am so grateful for all of her guidance, support, insight and coaching along the way. She's an amazing coach in meeting you realistically where you're at, while still challenging you to do your best. I had gained weight in the pandemic and as someone whose never really needed to lose weight before, was daunted by the task. G helped me tackle my goals in a step by step way that made them feel doable and realistic. This has been a fantastic experience with so much more to come. I came to G and Harv about 12 weeks ago ready to get back into the routine of workouts, meal prepping, and fitness in general. I have some injuries that make mobility really tricky for me, but Harv has put together workouts for me that are challenging yet still fit nicely into my very busy schedule. The best part for me is that after i go thru the fat loss stage, there is still so much more to do! I feel very confident that when the time comes for me to switch from fat loss to muscle building, Harv and G will be fully prepared to guide me thru it.
From the start, they’ve reviewed my nutrition weekly, they’ve watched my videos submissions and advised me on proper form, they are responsive to any questions i have, and they are very prompt in making changes and suggestions when needed. I feel supported and empowered to navigate this journey back into fitness after so much time spent injured. The investment of time, money, and energy has been 100% worth it!

I started working with Harv about 12 weeks ago. Initially we entered a fat loss period to reach a goal I had, and now he is assisting me through my first reverse diet in order to hopefully be able to maintain my physique throughout my sport’s ‘season’.
My workouts fit in my routine perfectly and are challenging without being unnecessarily long or draining. Harv is always on hand to offer help or advice and is always flexible with any social commitments (especially helping pick food on the menu!).
I’m looking forwards to entering my maintenance phase and working towards a half marathon in the autumn!

I’ve been working with G for over a year now and have really enjoyed my time with her team and the progress I have made. The intake was thoughtful and I could tell Harv was listening to my needs and goals. I really wanted to lose body fat and gain muscle, and that’s exactly what has happened. Not only do I feel great, but I am more confident.
Allowing for my inconsistent schedule with lots of traveling and socializing, G has adjusted my program based on what I have going on that week, if we’re trying to drive a bit more weight loss for an event, if I’m out of town without access to a gym, etc. I have found everything to be customized to my wants and needs very nicely. I am constantly (pleasantly) surprised by my continual progress throughout the program. The accountability aspect has kept me on track in a way I was never able to on my own. 10/10 recommend working with this team to finally meet your goals, with helpful coaching along the way - weekly check-ins, messaging on WhatsApp, tailored gym programming - it’s really been worth the money. I am also excited that there is a plan for maintenance and coming out of weight loss (which has been my goal) as well, so I will have continued support to maintain my progress!

I have been coached by Team GLJ, namely Louise, since July 2024.
My initial call with Harv helped to set realistic goals and keep in mind the busy lifestyle in which I lead. I had been able to lose weight quickly before but results would not last as it usually meant skipping meals and exercising inconsistently.
My whole relationship with food and exercise has transformed and I am so grateful for their help. I initially entered into a fat loss phase before going into a 2 month maintenance since Christmas. Due to exams and work, Louise has helped and adjusted my programme to help focus on those before now heading into our next fat loss phase.
The team are always on hand to help and after initially starting with 2 sessions per week, around 2 months ago I mentioned to Louise I would possibly rather 3 shorter sessions to help fit this in around work and promptly switched this. They are so flexible and make it work within your lifestyle to create a sustainable long term change for the better.
Can’t thank the team enough, and can’t wait for what is to come! 🥰🤍

I’ve been coached by Harv from Coached by GLJ since November 2024 and have really loved the whole experience and process. I have a big weight loss goal and wanted to get there slowly as I was postpartum and breastfeeding. Harv was super on board with that goal and has always created macro goals that fit both my energy levels needed and weight loss goal. I am so happy with how my weight loss is tracking so far.
Harv has always been super responsive to my messages and offered encouraging and helpful guidance.
My assigned workouts are designed for the limited equipment I have at home and take into account my current lifestyle. I also love knowing that with Harv as my coach I have someone overseeing how my macros and training is impacting my weight loss. Honestly the whole process has been even better than I hoped for. The weight is coming off (which I was never able to do and maintain by myself) and I’m stronger than I have been in years.

Since I started working with Georgia over 3 months ago, not only have I seen changes in my body, but I've seen it in my mind and lifestyle. Through her expert guidance, I've made sustainable changes to my day-to-day life and managed to overcome food guilt.
Her nutritional guidance has allowed me to view food as fuel. Her workout programs are short, sweet and sustainable. I'm in and out of the gym in an hour, which makes it that much easier to keep up with. This is my second time as a client of GLJ, and my experience has been just as good as the last. My life changed significantly when I became a new mum for the first time last year, and I knew I needed coaching to help me navigate the change and keep me accountable towards my goals while on maternity leave. Working with G has been an excellent. She has built a programme that suits my busy lifestyle, listening and making adjustments when requested. G is extremely realistic about my fat loss goals and working together, I've managed to still lose weight and inches without drastically cutting my calories or overdoing the cardio since I need the energy to maintain a healthy breast milk supply. I'm so happy with my progress...feeling strong and fitting into all of my pre-baby clothes again. Thanks for making this new mum feel confident about her post-baby body :)

Harv is amazing, he coached me through different phases of fat loss, maintenance and grow phase for over 30 weeks. He is very patient and adjusts to your personal life style but at the same time pushes you just enough to hit your goals. I will definitely recommend him.

I've been coached by Louise since September 24 and she has been amazing! I feel so supported and encouraged through each week and most importantly have made massive progress. I came to coached by GLJ wanting to get in the best shape I possibly could for my holiday and Louise has more than delivered - despite me being ill, not tracking all the time, Christmas etc I've lost over 5kg.
