Claire Austin Hardy Plants is a specialist mail order plant nursery that's built it's reputation on supplying quality hardy perennials. The range spans everything from classic cottage garden favourites to more unusual specimens and includes hundreds of different varieties carefully selected for their garden performance. Decades of hands-on growing experience, propagating, trialing, testing and tending to plants has resulted in the knowledge that every plant we offer is worthy of it's place in the garden. We hold Plant Heritage National Collections of hybrid herbaceous peonies and bearded irises and have received numerous medals and awards at shows including gold medals at the RHS Chelsea Flower Show. The National Collections include hundreds of irises and peonies, including unusual varieties not commonly found in local garden centers or at other nurseries. Our careful, effective and secure delivery packaging using recyclable materials ensures the plants arrive in excellent condition and will thrive after planting. Excellent Customer Service team
Customer Service team have been excellent with my recent orders. On two occasions I was able to add additional items to my original order very easily. Another order was delivered in a damaged condition courtesy of Royal Mail. I contacted Customer Service who immediately sent replacement without any fuss. Wish some of the others I but from were nearly as good.
All the plants I have received have been in excellent condition.

Strong healthy plants, great value
Strong healthy plants (9cm pots) well packaged and delivered quickly. Great value. There's an interesting range of perennials to choose from, and I was especially pleased to be able to get Bergenia ' Apple Blossom' which is so pretty in flower.

Really careful packaging - for the plants and the planet 🥰 - great updates throughout on where the order was and when to expect. Arrived exactly as promised. The range behind the order is just fab, its a nursery in Wales and the quality is simply exceptional. Plants received of good quality and in good condition. Plants are generally a little more expensive but you get what you pay for. Good size, quality and condition with fast delivery. I had received them within 48 hours and were planted an hour after receiving.

I didn't buy any plants this time (but I have before and they have always been good) I bought 2 plant supports, a wire basket and some soap. The plant supports are terrific - strong and a really good price and so much better than others I've bought elsewhere before. Wish I'd bought more!
