Excellent garage. Helpful and knowledgeable staff who go the extra mile to help. The garage is super efficient and clean with great facilities for those who want to wait in the garage. The booking process and notification process is excellent. I haven’t wanted to consider going to any other garage since finding this place.

Would score this zero but there isn't one. I took my fiat abarth for an mot I believe in April 2026. I've had it for 2.5 years, it's had 2 services with checkpoint in the time I've had it, it's a 2018 plate with just over 28,000 miles on the clock. So for me it would be a straight forward pass. I believe they saw a single women and decided to take her money. So when I thought £50.00, oh no it's £1200.00 plus and then after that shock then phone me back and tell me oh your brakes need doing shall I add it to the cost, absolutely disgusted. I probs do no more than 5 miles a day. So today my partner took his shit tip van to a reputable garage for an mot. 2017 plate with over 104,000 miles on the clock, never been serviced since he's had. Work the maths out = a lady that has been massively taken the piss out off. Absolutely don't go there as I don't believe that my car warranted as much as they said . Forgot to say my partners van passed it's mot with 1 advisory, speaks volumes about checkpoint

Two months after rear brake pads were replaced on my car, It was taken to Checkpoint Queensferry for an MOT test. I was contacted and told that it had failed, reporting that the brake test failed and that new rear brake disks and pads were required. I explained that the brakes were recently serviced and requested that the test was repeated; this request was refused. The test was said to demonstrate excessive brake imbalance between rear L and R sides with oscillation of one side, there was no printed record of the test provided.

I was skeptical of this report. As an experienced mechanic who has repaired many vehicles after brake test failures. I am also aware that some errors can be made during MOT tests at certain test stations or the results can be misinterpreted.

The car brakes were tested the next day at a different garage without making any changes and using certified equipment.

The test demonstrated that there were no faults with the brakes and they were operating well within the specified ranges. Hopefully the vehicle will pass once some actual faults are corrected....

New to me Škoda Karoq after nearly 30 years of Nissans, oil service advisory came up on the Infotainment screen at 14k. Great service as ever by Graham and the team. Been bringing my cars to Checkpoint Prenton for over 20 years and wouldn't go elsewhere unless there was no choice.

I would just like to say Many thanks to Graham and his Team at Checkpoint Service centre Prenton Wirral, I have just recently moved to the Wirral and this service centre was recommended to me. The clips on the undertray cover on my Nissan Qashqai had come loose and the tray dropped. The service centre ensured the undertray was secure and did not charge me. I will definitely be using this Service Centre for my next service. Once again Many Thanks. Stephen Vaughan.

I just want to say thank you to all at Checkpoint Service Centre, Prenton, Wirral. From the initial phone call to the promt appointment then the quick turn around of the service for my Mazda 3, they have been great. A pleasure to deal with. I will be going back to them from now on.

This is the best garage to get work done on your car they are very helpful and do not rip you off,the bathroom and waiting room are spotless I can not recommend them enough I will not go anywhere else

Phoned up for a service, was done the following day. Never had a issue with these lads. Great service also from the lads at the front desk. Would never use another garage for my jobs.

I had an urgent need of vehicle check after a loud grinding noise developed in the morning on the way to work. The staff were very helpful in taking my booking when I arrived and found the issue fairly quickly with my brake calliper which was quickly ordered and fitted the very same day. Very friendly and reassuring for me after a stressful morning.

I brought my car in for a full service, one of the checks found my cambelt to be out of date. the guys got me in the same week and replaced my cambelt. upon discovery it was the original belt and it had never been changed before! 160,000 miles! ticking time bomb. the team were great and so efficient i will be returning for future repairs! well done guys see you again!

They been taking care of all our cars for years & never fail to impress.
We used another garage in Mold previously but when it came to a warranty repair there were know where to be seen.
Would always recommend to friends & family.

We went to Checkpoint ( first time) by Tesco in Mold, Sunday, 7/9/25, no bookings but they see our car, fixed the air issues within the car, as tyre kept losing pressure, they charged us £30, super fast service, excellent customer service,will definetely reccomend, glad we went there!

Good job the area has got a garage like this one as its a long drive to Lampeter or Llandovery for fuel and food stuffs. Its not the cheapest but good convience store, The Staff are friendly and helpful, its a well stocked store, just a pity it doesn't have customer toilets

Fantastic service, I work next door to the Prenton branch of Checkpoint and have often put my car in for a service and MOT with no issues and very reasonably priced. Today I reached out because my tyre pressure was low, they collected my car checked it over and even topped up my screen wash. My car was returned to me at my workplace and free of charge. Graham and the team are so lovely, would recommend this place time and time again.

Dan welcomed us & got our flat tyre sorted straightaway. We were off to Longleat for the day & we were given 1st class service to get us back on the road. Dan showed us where the nail had entered tyre & showed us that tyre was damaged. He fitted new tyre and checked the other 3 tyres giving me feedback & guidance. He also checked all tyre pressures. Would definitely recommend Warminster Checkpoint to anyone needing help. Thank you again Dan for getting us back on the road.

Do not make the mistake that we did and put your car into this garage. Paid 1200 for a clutch only for them not only to not finish the job on schedule but to have to replace another part at an extra cost that they claimed that the car dealer had 'snapped.' Clutch went again after a week, RAC assessed that brake fluid had not been topped up. Garage claimed another part had gone. Charged extra again for replacement. Our car is in a worse condition than before we put it in. Absolutely and utterly appalled with this dreadful service.

Excellent experience today in Mold. Didn't have to wait long for appointment. They sorted out my wheel sensors and warning lights on the dash. The lads in the garage went above and beyond to help and were very friendly. The prices were good too. Will go again. Thanks
