Some of the psychiatrists they use provide poor service and will blane you for lack of timely and proper correspondence. You will not receive a refund for this even if you never actually speak to any psychiatrist at all. Poor quality service with very little accountability.

We signed up with a therapist over a month ago. They responded once and then never got back to us again. We reached out for 12days. Not sure what happened but we are currently disputing the charge and going else where. Hopefully to a place that has a better response time and customer service.

CertaPet has made the difference in my life that I needed. I love my dog!! My dog Dixie has learned to help me be a better me! I have been suffering from my disability for a couple years now. The whole process with Certapet was clear and forthright . . . and alleviated my stress about my companion wonder dog being seen as essential to my well-being.
My only concern came early on when asking a question and being written back that this would put me at the bottom of the queue. I had replied: "chuckles. okay."
Overall, they were splendid.

I emailed CertaPet and informed them I did not receive my vest or ID that I had purchased. I was told that 90 days had passed and that due to their policy. My items would not be sent to me. I needed to purchase another vest and ID if I needed to get one. I never received an email, tracking information or anything saying my items had been shipped. So buyer beware if 90 days pass and you don’t receive anything. Then then your out of luck due to there internal policy that I as a customer was never informed of.

Certapet has a thorough questionnaire for customers to fill out. Once pre-approved, you are able to set up a consultation with a licensed mental health professional as soon as the next day. I received my ESA letter within minutes after the consultation. I'm very happy with Certapet services.

I applied to renew my PSD letter one month before my prior letter expiration date ( I got a reminder email from Certapet saying it was time to renew, so I took action immediately). I noticed that the date mentioned on the new PSD letter is the evaluation date for this time instead of the original annual renewal date. My doctor mentioned that she couldn't change the date on the legal document, so I asked customer service to help me fix this problem.

First, they kept mentioning that my annual renewal date had now changed to the new date, and I am the one who would be responsible for keeping track of this on my end as this is my prescription; they cannot request nor suggest what is best for me to do, so they cannot offer any solution. After I said what made me uncomfortable was that the reminder email they sent had never said things like that to the customers. The customer service just said she would make a note to the team, which is hilarious.

Additionally, when I asked if they could help me to void the letter and I can reapply as my expiration date gets closer, the customer service said, "If you have already been approved for your letter, we will not provide a refund or cancellation as the letter has been issued and services have been rendered." They are not helping at all!

So, please renew your letter when the expiration date gets closer; if not, you'll lose days or months on your letter! You're gonna know bad things also could happen to people who take earlier actions.

Fantastic experience. A legitimate organization that truly cares about their customers. They are very clear on what is and isn't legal and do not just 'hand out' fake certificates to anyone that pays, only legitimate letters from a LMHC. This is the only company I trust and will ever use. The psychologists also give resources for continued counseling. Highly recommended.

Great experience with Certapet, I reached out to a friend that used this company and told me they were the best. Recently found out I have Fibromyalgia, something I have been dealing for over 20+ years. The entire process was super easy. Was approved the same day. So happy with the service I applied for a 2nd ESA letter for double support.

Absolute rock-bottom garbage.

I applied and paid for a PSA. They sent an ESA.
Customer service literally said that it was definitely my mistake, but that I could get the PSA after all. I would just have to pay again. (The supervisor told me that!)

It took an hour of waiting and frustration in dealing with this company that is clearly not set up for customer satisfaction.

Atrocious. I’m actually shocked at this garbage treatment.

EDIT: After Certapet’s meaningless reply with a non-apology for the “inconvenience”, lowering it to one star from two.

Very easy to deal with, responsive and fast.

Beyond helpful. The resources my therapist provided after our consultation (outside of my ESA letter) made all the difference. Nice to know there are trusted professionals working for this company.

Do NOT waste your time and money on Certapet! If you haven’t go see a psychiatrist already, your request will get rejected! Also the $40 consultation fee is non-refundable. If you already got rejected, don’t try again because you will get rejected AGAIN.

5 years ago I applied for ESA but got rejected by a LMHP because I answered No to her question “have you go see a therapist? Why not?” She didn’t ask me any other questions.

Funny thing is, 3 days later I used another ESA site and got ESA approved by a LMHP.

5 years later I went to Certapet again to request for PSD. I used different email address hoping they would assign me to a different LMHP. Well it turned out the same LMHP called me again and rejected me for the same reason (she asked me the same question “have you go see a therapist? Why not?” After I answered no, she immediately rejected me).

There is a $40 ($80 total) consulting fee that’s non-refundable. They made it sound like the reason for rejection is not due to not seeing a psychiatrist, but that’s the REAL reason.

Once you get rejected, don’t try again because they will assign you to the same LMHP due to “conflict of interest “ they said.

Also, they said you will hear back from a mentor health professional in a few days after you submit your application, but that didn’t happen. I waited for 9 days!

I want my refund (including the $40 consultation fee)! This doesn’t make sense to me. If I’m seeing a therapist, I can get a letter for free! Why would I reach out to you Certapet if I’m seeing a therapist already? The answer I got from customer service is “well, some therapists are not licensed to issue a ESA/PSD letter”. Well, hello? Are you serious? A licensed therapist is not licensed to issue a letter? Are you kidding me!? Do I look like I’m easy to fool?

The process is quick and easy. The mental health professional was caring and helpful and plans to keep in touch. I was approved and the letter was personalized.

I needed a letter done last minute and within a couple days I had it. I didn't renew it as I wasn't really sure it was needed and would be asked for and property owner didn't ask.for it until a day before. Once I was able to get to the right person to get ball rolling it was quite easy accept I think the assessment form was much too involved for this purpose. Too much history asked for which I don't think was needed, time consuming, and reminded me my issues which couldn't be helped. Jenny was quite helpful. Was good to be able to talk with the same person too.
