Cebu pacific - Untrustworthy airline

I booked a flight on 20th June 2025 with Cebu Pacific to fly on 15 November, booking so early I got a good deal, so I thought. My flight was altered in August arriving a couple of hours later that the original time, fair enough. Then on 15 October my flight was changed again, leaving the same day but not arriving until 6am the following day. When checking the website all the flights were fully booked. I suspect they sold my seat at a much higher rate and moved me to an unsociable hour yo make more of a profit. I had to cancel my outbound flight, book with a different airline at a higher cost. Cebu pacific are untrustworthy and unethical. I will not be booking any further flights with them.

Worst Airline Experience Ever!

I tried booking a flight with Cebu Pacific Air on October 8th for October 20th, but their website completely failed me. After filling in all passenger and payment details, the page suddenly went blank. I refreshed, clicked “Proceed to Payment” multiple times, and nothing happened. When it finally went through, I entered my card details and received the itinerary — only to discover that the travel date had somehow changed to October 9th instead of October 20th!

I immediately reached out to customer service less than 20 minutes after receiving the itinerary, but they refused to cancel or refund the flight — even though it was clearly a system glitch on their end. When I asked to rebook, they demanded ₱7,800+ per person, and there were four of us traveling!

Their customer service agents were rude, unprofessional, and unhelpful — they didn’t seem to understand the issue at all. Once Cebu Pacific captures your payment, even if the mistake was caused by their own faulty website, they will NOT refund your money.

This was honestly the worst airline experience I’ve ever had. Do yourself a favor — avoid Cebu Pacific. Their booking system is unreliable, and their support team is useless.
Fly Philippine Airlines instead — their website actually works, and their customer service is much more professional.

After flying with Cebu several times no…

After flying with Cebu several times no issues until now I've never had to contact them in past but what a shambles no response,paid for Flexi but they decided to change my flight 2 months before departure,when I asked them there date did not suit me ,and could I change it they said sure but I had to pay extra as my selected date cost more, even though they changed my flight at first,, never again for me and my partner

Abysmal Customer Service – Dragging Out a Cancer Refund for Months

We’ve spent months trying to cancel a ticket for a family member who was diagnosed with cancer and is now undergoing chemotherapy. The person can’t travel. That should be the end of the conversation.

But Cebu Pacific - especially a rep named Dimple - has handled this with a shocking level of incompetence, delay and complete lack of empathy. We’ve sent everything they’ve asked for: a GP letter, a hospital discharge, even a letter confirming the start of chemotherapy. In return? More hoops, more pointless requests, and now radio silence.

They asked for a return ticket after the entire booking was cancelled - just one of many stupid, irrelevant requests. It's clear they either don't read the case history, don’t care, or both.

We've chased, we've asked to escalate, we've clearly explained the situation. Cebu Pacific has ignored every attempt to resolve this properly. Their complaints process is a joke - if it even exists.

This isn’t a delay or baggage issue. This is a seriously ill person trying to cancel flights they can’t use. And Cebu Pacific is treating it like a minor admin error.

Disgraceful airline. No accountability. No decency. Avoid at all costs - especially if you think there’s even the slightest chance you might need help from them.

Worse airlines ever

Worse airlines ever. Rude staff, no tv no wifi, food you have to pay extra. Gate changes without announcements, late departures late arrivals. I honestly can’t think of anything good to say. I saw all the negative reviews and now experienced it for myself. First and last time flying this airline

Affordable airline

Affordable airline. Small, compact aircraft for budget-friendly airline. The delays are sometimes acceptable because of weather but some technical reasons should be double checked first before departure to avoid any delays.

Worst Airline

Worst Airline. I've experience from previous flights before decided not to book in this airline anymore. Everyone follows protocol 2 hours before your flight you should at the airport. This airline most of my flights are always delayed for almost 1-2 hours, and all they say is sorry and a bottle water. Also they are the only airline have a 1 bag policy for 20kgs. and some of the staffs are rude which is very disappointing unlike Philippine Airlines where everything runs smoothly.

They have a problem…

They have a problem with their internet pages. Of course they demand that we check in online. But nothing works: the website does not recognize when booking references and passenger names match. If I try to "add or link" the booking to my name or email, the pages start to go in circles, repeatedly asking for login alternately with reference numbers and identification. The worst is the agents who are supposed to help one out in the online chat: they are openly lying and trying to blame the problems on the customers. One just told me that the email address that I gave her did not match the original booking, and only backed down when I showed her a screenshot proving that the original booking confirmation was sent to the same address I had just given her,

By far the worst travel experience

By far the worst travel experience I’ve ever had. Before booking, I spoke to a Cebu Pacific agent to make sure my luggage was within policy (I know they’re very strict) and I even disclosed my disability. Despite that, when I arrived at the airport the staff laughed at me for being confused, made fun of me, and then forced me to check in my carry-on bag—even though it was both under the weight and size limits when measured in their own sizer. Their only excuse was that it was “too bulky,” but they refused to explain further, leaving me no choice but to pay 2000 pesos.

To make matters worse, their “no photography/filming” policy meant I couldn’t document the interaction, and when I asked for the staff’s names, they refused to give them. The final insult: they broke my luggage. When I reported it immediately at baggage claim, they just shrugged it off.

Absolutely unacceptable. Terrible customer service, zero accountability, and outright disrespect toward passengers—especially those with disabilities. DO NOT fly with Cebu Pacific.

The website is not user-friendly

The website is not user-friendly. If you have a party of more than one, everyone is stuck with same class of ticket (i.e. Go Basic, Go Easy or Go Flexi). You can't choose say one passenger with Go Basic and the other with Go Easy. The page to enter passenger info is clumsy at best, same for the Add-on page.

Deceitful Airline

This Airline is sneaky and underhand in there dealings
I purchased 8 plane tickets via there Cebu app some 6 months so as my future wife's family could fly from Davo city in the phillpines to Honkong to attended our wedding
Not once was I notified the tickets had not been fully paid for.. ( Apparently they charge a tax fee on top ) but somehow they were allowed to board the plane before being stopped at Manila and charged the additional fee thankfully one of the family members at the time had the funds to cover these hidden charges
Otherwise they wouldve been all left stranded in Manila
I believe they do not present the full price as a guise to appear cheaper then other airlines then after you've purchased the tickets and when its to late to change them they hit you up with the additional fee -this i believe is highly deceitful is it not ?
So travellers please please 🙏 be aware
Best advise avoid this Airline all together ..

itinerary doesn't send

I bought a ticket from Cebu Air on August 14th. I paid by credit card, but I haven't received a confirmation email. I contacted them and have been trying to contact them for two weeks to have the ticket sent to me, but they can't find it. When I contacted my bank, they said the payment was successful and shared the transfer number. Even though I shared this number with Cebu Air, they claim they can't find the payment. As a result, the ticket I paid for hasn't been sent to me.So I dont have a ticket.

Avoid if you can

My first experience booking with Cebu Pacific in late January was a bit frustrating due to their slow, clunky website. In terms of actual travel, they were late taking off on the outbound and inbound legs of my trip by over an hour, which I understand is "normal" for them. The flights themselves were OK with no apparent problems, the aircraft were reasonably clean and tidy, and the aircrew were pleasant enough. However, the ticketing and terminal staff were nothing to write home about in terms of their customer service, which was well below what I'm used to in New Zealand.

I originally would've given Cebu a 3.5 (not that one can, but if I could've...) based on my first experience, but I've dropped that to a solid 1 after a recent situation they refused to help me with. When booking tickets to go back to PH in October this year, I chose the Go Easy tickets after seeing I could change the date of travel and even the name on the ticket - not noticing the small print that said I could only change EITHER the first OR last name, not both. Thinking I had "flexible" tickets, when a situation arose with a family member's health that required me to cancel my plans to travel to PH, I wasn't worried at first thinking I'd be able to use my tickets for my fiance who would instead fly to NZ to be with me and my family, rather than me going to PH.

Well, it turns out my confidence was sorely misplaced. Not only was finding how to get in touch with them from NZ difficult, but after 3 weeks of endless back and forth emails (during which the customer service person was polite but not helpful and often repeated questions and didn't really seem to understand what I wanted to do for the first 4 or 5 back and forth emails), Cebu Pacific refused to let me exchange my ticket value for a travel voucher that I could then use for my fiance's travel, since their archaic, clunky system apparently wouldn't let them do the very simple thing of changing the direction of travel and the person traveling. So now I'm 9000 pesos out of pocket and having to arrange alternative travel for my fiance, at my own expense.

If I go to PH again, I will do whatever I can NOT to travel on Cebu Pacific. The amount isn't overly much, but it's the principle of the thing: I will not give repeat business to an organization the plays the letter of the law game and treats me unfairly. Perhaps if enough people penalize Cebu Pacific they might get the message, but I'm not holding my breath.

Moral of the story: either don't travel with Cebu Pacific if you can avoid them, either internally or externally, but if you absolutely have to, you'd be wise to buy the most expensive tickets. That way, when something goes wrong, and with them it seems more likely "when" rather than "if", you should be able to force them to make good on your tickets.

Further to all the drama listed above, I tried to change my tickets to April 2026, on the off chance I might actually travel then, only to be told my "changeable tickets" (Go Easy) could only be change if I coughed up another 5000 pesos! This despite the fact that the dates I want in April have slightly cheaper prices than the ones I've already paid for. I told the service rep, "I'm not paying that. I'll take the boat," because it's cheaper to take the boat to Masbate from Lucena than it is to pay the extortionate "change" fee on tickets that are supposed to be readily changeable. Well done, Cebu Pacific - you've stolen 9000 pesos from me and ensured I'll never travel with you again, AND earned yourself a reputation black eye. Be thankful you don't operate in a developed country - you'd be out of business in 5 minutes...
