UPDATE TO OUR ORIGINAL REVIEW – 3 AUGUST 2026

This is an update to our original review below. After posting it, Carpet Call’s WA State Manager contacted us, and we genuinely hoped this meant our concerns would finally be resolved.

Nearly three months after we first reported the problems, nothing has been repaired, replaced or refunded. Carpet Call still has the full $6,100 we were required to pay before installation, and we are still left with the same panel glides and the same unresolved problems.

Carpet Call’s only proposed replacement was roller blinds, a product we had repeatedly explained we did not want and which does not suit the style or character of our property. We considered them only because they were the sole solution Carpet Call offered.

When we felt there was no suitable option being offered, we researched alternatives ourselves and found Veri Shades. We knew they would cost more and clearly said we were prepared to pay a reasonable difference. We simply asked Carpet Call for a transparent breakdown showing how the additional amount had been calculated and how our original $6,100 payment was being accounted for. That breakdown was never properly provided.

Eventually, the process became too stressful, time consuming and financially and emotionally draining. We respectfully asked Carpet Call to refund our $6,100, remove the panel glides and allow everyone to part ways. Carpet Call refused the refund and withdrew its replacement offer.

Throughout this process, the discussion has continued to centre on what Carpet Call is prepared to offer, what it considers “goodwill” and what conditions it wants to impose. What has been missing is a solution centred on us, the customer and what would actually provide a fair, functional and suitable outcome for our property.

We were not looking for something for nothing. We paid in full, reported the problems immediately, considered a product we never wanted and even found an alternative ourselves that we were willing to contribute more towards. After all that, we still have no resolution.

Based on our experience, I would strongly recommend choosing a company that requires only a deposit, with the balance payable after installation and after the customer has inspected the completed work. Paying Carpet Call in full upfront left us with very little practical leverage when things went wrong.

This is not the outcome we wanted. We genuinely tried to work with Carpet Call, but months of discussion have delivered nothing for the customer. We will now refer the matter to Consumer Protection WA.

We recently engaged Carpet Call for supply and installation of panel blinds at our property and unfortunately the experience has been extremely disappointing from both a product and customer service perspective.

The installation completed does not reflect what was discussed during the quotation and sales process. A key requirement was that the blinds extend past the door openings to improve block-out performance and reduce summer heat, however this was not achieved in the final installation.

Since installation we have experienced multiple issues including:
- panels not operating smoothly,
- squealing and resistance during use,
- a glide handle detaching almost immediately,
- tracking rails visibly bending under the panel weight,
- poor overall finish quality,
- and installations creating usability and potential safety concerns around door access and proximity to the fireplace.

What has been equally frustrating is the lack of follow-up and communication after these concerns were formally raised. We submitted detailed photos and documentation and have received little meaningful response despite the seriousness of the issues identified.

This is also not the first issue we have experienced with Carpet Call works completed at the property, with previous carpet installation works also causing avoidable operational disruption.

For the amount spent, we expected significantly better workmanship, quality control, and customer service.

At this stage we are still waiting for proper escalation and resolution.

I placed my order on line but received no confirmation.Only after several phone calls and unanswered messages did I finally manage to get the order confirmed.

Carpet Call gave us prompt service following our inquiry. The same day Robert from the Eastern Creek NSW Store visited us in our home and measured up our space and provided us with a helpful quote. He then arranged for our installation by Eddie that went very smoothly. We are very happy with the outcome.

My decision to buy my carpets from Carpet Call Nunawading was strongly influenced by the excellent service I received as soon as I entered the showroom. I was approached by Gem, who quickly understood my requirements, gave me valuable advice and arranged for a measure and quote. The estimator, Felix was also great. He measured up a difficult space, explained the way the carpet would be laid, and later, with Gem, gave me a competitive price.
The installation was also five stars. Mutara and Atal (apologies if I have misspelt the names) were on time, hard working and did a quality job.
Ultimately I put my faith in people I felt confident I could trust and I am glad I did. I have no hesitation in recommending Carpet Call Nunawading to others.

I brought the cordless vacuum. Waste of time n money. If picking up anything bigger than a hair, everything thing gets stuck.so annoying. I can suck up dirt myself

DON'T TRUST THIS COMPANY.
The salesperson is good, comes out and makes you sign the order.

They don't let you have samples, the colour of the carpet, they have installed incorrectly to what was requested. When searching for the carpet colours on their website, there is no results found.

To speak with the salesperson again, basically impossible.

DON'T TRUST THEM.

The communication after sales is utterly terrible.

Manny from Carpetcall supported with a more suitable product at a better price. Provided clear comparison on the products, suggested the more suitable option for our needs.
