CanaDream RV - Toronto Omdömen 

It gave us a great opportunity to experience RVing.
There were many inconveniences:
- no leg room in driver and passenger area, could not go from front to back easily.
- back king size bed was plastic and hard, had to crawl around to reach cupboards.
- oven on the floor and couldn't use it, hands and knees to get in to oven.
- screen door would not close.
- no hot water for last 2 days.

Very Friendly CanaDream team, everything was as expected, and the RV was almost new.

The receipt with picking up the motorhome, the friendliness of your staff and than the motorhome was great. And than we arrive to deliver the motorhome, everything went smoothly and again the staff was very helpfull.

Wir haben den Camper über ein Reiseunternehmen bei Canadream buchen lassen. Die Mitarbeiter vor Ort in Toronto waren sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Der Camper war in einem technisch einwandfreien Zustand (keine 1000 Kilometer auf dem Tacho). Er wurde uns sehr gut erklärt und war leicht zu bedienen. Wir hatten uns aufgrund der Homepage für einen Camper mit einem Slide-Out im Schlafbereich entschieden. Leider wurde nicht kommuniziert, dass es den Camper in zwei Varianten gibt: Slide-Out Schlafbereich und Slide-Out Wohnbereich. Wir haben leider die zweite Variante erhalten und nicht den gewünschten. Uns fehlte die Information, dass es zwei Varianten gibt und man den Wunsch in den Bemerkungen angeben muss. Trotzdem gibt es keine Garantie und man muss nehmen, was dann vor Ort ist. Das war für eine Person mit 2m Körpergröße schwierig, kein Slide-Out im Schlafbereich zu haben.
Der Küchenbereich war sehr spärlich ausgestattet. Die Deckel passten nicht zu den Töpfen. Wenn man im Camper kochen will, muss man noch einige Küchenutensilien kaufen.
Die Rückgabe erfolgte problemlos und schnell. Kaution wurde zeitnah erstattet.
Wir würden jederzeit wieder bei Canadream buchen und wissen jetzt, worauf wir achten müssen.

Helpful staff, new RV, 0 problems. Enjoyed every mile!

We rented this van for 7 nights and had an excellent experience from start to finish. The van was brand new, fully equipped with every option we could need, and easy to drive and park despite its size.
The customer service was outstanding as well. We had a small issue during our trip, and the support team responded quickly and resolved everything efficiently, making the whole experience completely stress-free.
The only minor downside was the power cable for connecting to the campground electrical hookup, which was often too short to reach the outlet. Other than that, everything was perfect, and we would definitely recommend this rental company.

The vehicle was new and everything worked. It was an excellent way to tour from Toronto to NS.

Excellent experience with CanaDream! The RV was spotless, the generator was quiet, and the bed and mattress were very comfortable. Everything was clean and well maintained. Highly recommend, and I would definitely rent from them again!

This is our second time renting from Canadream. We were the first to use this RV. The air conditioner did not work. The fan on the unit worked fine, but there was no cooling. Fortunately for us, it was cool enough that we only had 2 nights out of 14 that we would have used it. Next time we will be sure to test the heating and air conditioning before we leave the Canadream parking lot.
Otherwise our experience was very good with the staff and the equipment in both Vancouver and Toronto.

Booking, pickup, travel with RV and drop off were perfect.

First time renting an RV and we had a fantastic experience! The RV was brand new and in excellent condition. A special shout-out to the staff at CanaDream. The gentleman was so incredibly patient and helpful throughout the entire process. Highly recommended!

The unjust practice of debiting the security deposit immediately on the customers credit card, and not taking into account foreign currency will involve different applicable exchang rates and bankcharges.
This is especially unexplainable when no damage occured.
For a 5000 CAD security deposit this will amount to € 245 a quite substantial amount

We had a great experience with Canadream. The staff were very helpful and we had great service. They even arranged posting of an item we left in the van.The van was nearly brand new so great. Would definitely the company.

We were very satisfied with the service provided by the company. The staff were friendly, easy to talk to, and answered all of our questions. The handover of the RV was excellent — we went through the condition together and documented everything properly.
We had a wonderful time with the RV, and the vehicle itself was in excellent condition. The return process was also very structured and smooth, which we really appreciated.
The only thing that slightly dampened the experience was that the RV wasn’t fully fueled when we picked it up. Although we were told to return it with the same fuel level, this rarely works out accurately in practice, and it usually means you end up paying more.
Apart from that, everything was great.

Canadream Nightmare. We had booked a trip from Toronto to Halifax. We put our food in the fridge and freezer (by no means overfilling it) . When we got to our first destination, it was obvious the fridge wasn't working. Why was this not checked in Toronto.
We did all the troubleshooting steps without success then called assistance. They said to go out and buy a "cheap cooler" and switch the fridge off for 4 hours. By this time our frozen food was defrosted.
We followed instructions but by the time we turned the fridge on again, support was closed and it still wasn't working. Next day we called support and were told we had to make an appointment with a repair shop 4 hours away.
The following day we drove to the shop, which was way out of town, we waited 5 hours. Eventually we were told the fridge needed replaced and they weren't doing it.
We had to pay the $500 bill out of our own pocket. Honestly, Canadream really borrowed money from us to pay their own repair.

We returned to St John NB at 3pm. So much for our one day visit that we spent 4 hours driving to. What a waste a how very frustrating.
We were very tired, and annoyed at our treatment by Canadream. We called support who told us that since it was less that 5 days left out of out holiday, we couldn't have a replacement RV. even though it had been faulty since the start. Really, does nobody have any compassion.
Meanwhile our food was spoiled and swimming in water every time we pulled something out. We pushed back and were told that if we wanted an RV, we would have to drive to Truro and be there last thing this evening or first thing tomorrow. What happened to, "we will get you a replacement RV, you have been through enough".
Truro was a 6 hour round trip and totally unreasonable. we were tired and had no choice but to wait till we got to Halifax.
The week was a nightmare of keeping our food cool and climbing over coolers in the already small RV. It was hot and our cooler was filled with water every morning from the melting ice.
We got to the Halifax depot, not where we wanted to go, and spent almost 2 hours while we changed the fridge for our last 2 days. We asked if we could drop off the RV 3 hours later than scheduled and they agreed.

Two days later we returned the RV. We asked for some form of compensation for our nightmare week. We were told that since they had allowed us to return the van 3 hours late, all they could give us was $71. That wouldn't even cover the gas taking this monster around stores looking for "cheap coolers" and driving to the maintenance appointments, never mind the spoiled food and the waiting around while we were on vacation.
I told them that this was insulting. Eventually the manager said he called the company CEO and she authorized the refund of the money we paid for the generator package , which we didn't use anyway. A miserable $265.
So we take time off our work to go on vacation and spend it on a nightmare journey nursing a fridge that should have been checked before it left and a company that was more interested in damage limitation than helping a customer have a great week.

In the end they behaved like they were doing us a favour. And to top it all, the CEO knew about it too. Not a word of apology from anyone, not one. You let us down badly Canadream and I will be sure to share this with everyone who asks.

Booking process was relatively simple and a human (vs chatbot) was only a phone call away to answer questions and provide clarification.
