La réservation n'est pas tant intuitive mais si nous sommes patients ils nous aident pas mail. En revanche le pick up a été CA TA STRO PHIQUE !!! Personne n'était là, aucun mail reçu pour expliquer, aucun numéro ne répondait j'ai appelé le numéro d'urgence hors forfait de 60 dollars pour 3 min. Ils n'ont pas intérêt de me prélever les 100 dollars d'aide. Ensuite Aucune notice pour pick up, aucune notice et informations sur le lit, eau vide pas de notice, sur la réserve d'essence.
Après quelques jours d'apprivoisement le van est pas si mal.
Au retour j'ai attendu 1h la dame pour le remettre en main propre, 0 papier, 0 information.

We had a bad start in Melbourne as the local people were useless - couldn’t help us understand how the van worked; the van itself was ok and did the job perfectly; the man in Adelaide was helpful.

I booked a Toyota Estima for 2 weeks in Hobart. The van itself drove great, but the exterior of the van was nothing short of embarrassing. The front bumper was zip-tied together! One of the back sliding doors was completely broken and unusable and the other back sliding door wouldn’t open when it was raining, which happened often. So I had no way to get in or out of the sleeping area of the van! They also told me on pick up that the lock for the only working door was also broken. When I contacted support regarding the door not opening, they told me to take it to a mechanic myself and they would refund me. I didn’t trust the company enough to do that, plus that would have wasted time on my trip. The bed setup was strange. You had to move the seats forward in order to use the bed, but in the Estima I had in the past, this was not at all the case, so it was so annoying - especially when it was raining and I couldn’t open the doors to access the bed. I was provided everything I needed - cooking utensils and stove, but I had to provide my own cooking gas for the stove. The ceiling of the van was covered in mold, from the front windscreen to the back. Pick up was smooth, but strange because I didn’t need to show any ID or anything, just got in the car and left. I arrived to drop off the car well before closing and the lot was already locked up for the day? And when I called the main number, it rolled over to voicemail. Overall, I would not recommend this company and the amount of money I spent to rent the van was not worth it.

So far I have been waiting 40 days for my $7,500 bond return. I was told there had been only a few instances where the bond return had taken the thirty days but looking at reviews this seems more common than expressed. There were also troubles with our van such as the battery dying each morning, however we were promised compensation for these issues.
I expessed multiple times my need for this money as I am a student struggling for rent, this seems to have fallen on deaf ears, however, as Campervan Village continues to breach it's own bond agreement.
(Update it has now been almost two months, there has been no accident for it to take up to 12 months this is ridiculous and in breach of your contract, this is greatly affecting my livelihood, DO NOT HIRE)

The car Toyota Estima/Previa from 2007 was reliable with automatic and cruise control and for one person brilliant for 2 people ok with less luggage.

I rented a small van for my birthday trip to the great ocean road for 4 days and the van was good ! Engine worked perfectly fine. However, I was not showed any plug (and couldn’t find any) so I had to look for it for a long time before actually finding only USB plugs (which was not told when doing the booking) and I didn’t have any USB cable so had to buy some - I was also not showed how to use the sink and couldn’t use it during the whole trip as everything I tried was not working - I was staying in campsites so I could find water easily but it was not great. At this point I thought I should’ve just rented a basic car and sleep inside it. Also on pick-up and drop-off, I was never asked for any ID or driver’s license and on drop-off I was not even asked for my name which I found very unpersonal and not really safe. Apart then that, no issues at all.

The Johhny feel good was such a nice and easy campervan! Got us all the way from Perth to Broome. We had the best trip :)

I rented a car with rooftop tent for 2 weeks. The car was not reliable and could not handle 110km/h well :
- was always pulling on the left hand side
- completely overload (wheels almost touching above)
- nothing to camp really..
I would not recommend, doesn’t worth the price.

Car was not clean inside when we picked it up. Rented the van for 3 months. Rear tires should have been replaced before the trip and not halfway the trip.Halfway the trip the 2 back tires had to be replaced because of unsafe conditions (Metal inside the tire was sticking out). Toolbox did not work and had to be replaced halfway the trip. Other small issues found during the trip.

After initially having to fill oil up as red warning light came on after 200km, and visible damaged panels I was sceptical of the van hired. Fortunately the vehicle performed wonderfully and ran efficiently. To my pleasure the sleeping quarters inside was comfortable and fitted my long body length, a definite plus.

Ein Handbuch um alle Schalter zu finden wäre nützlich, Die Warnung des 4WD war 3 Wochen zu sehen, die Automatik arbeitete nicht ordentlich, Rückfrage mit der Werkstatt endete mit der Bemerkung "ist nur eine Warnung", Vorderräder könnten ausgewuchtet werden, Bremse ging nicht so gut, der Gaskocher war defekt, die Pumpe der Spüle ging nicht - wohl Sand drin, Innenraumbeleuchtung konnte ohne eingeschaltete Zündung nicht benutzt werden.
Alles in allem kein gutes Auto. Zum kochen habe ich mir einen neuen Kocher gekauft.

I posted a review yesterday regarding my daughter and her friend hiring from this company and the shocking condition mechanically of the vehicles that were hired to my daughter/Friend , and then this company trying to take $1000 from her card,
Campervan Village responded with the comment below:
"This booking is under review with our Customer Care team. Note the $1000 you mention was a simply card authorisation, not charge, to put the funds on hold while all the vehicles and the booking are being assessed. Vehicle swaps are rare and it is highly unusal for bookings to have multiple vehicle swaps, warrenting further investiagtion. Even on the highest level of cover customers can be liable for damages under certain circumstances as per the terms and conditions. Due to the complexity of this hire we are unable to comment further until the investigation is completed. Customer Care aims to respond to requests within 10 days of receiving emails or if received before the hire is ended, 10 days after the hire is completed as time is required to assess vehicles and requests:

"the First vehicle, just 3 1/2 hrs after picking up the car it broke down and roadside assistance said it was likely the alternator,
Second vehicle started shaking/vibrating when they approached 100 Kmh and then after informing Roadside assistance they were told by them that’s it’s ok to carry on to Alice springs obviously avoiding that speed, and when their, they could get the wheels balanced, however before they got to Alice springs two dashboard warning lights came on, one being an ABS warning light and the other an (!) in red colour, and again they contacted roadside assistance who said it maybe something to do with the brakes or hand brake and he asked them to send a couple of pictures of under the bonnet, of the brake fluid et cetera which he said all seemed fine, he then told them that even with the shaking and rattling and the two warning lights it would be okay to continue to Alice Springs. (My daughter has screenshots of the conversation between her and the roadside assistance person confirming this ) and at arrival at Alice springs to have these items addressed
On the way to Alice springs the rear tyre blew, some kind gentleman stopped and helped my daughter and her friend out but when they went to get the jack, it was useless as it was already bent and they discovered the jump leads had one end cut off and was not fit for purpose so they had to use their own equipment to change the tyre for the emergency tyre . These gentlemen noted that the tyre that had blown, looked like it already had severe damage anyway, and appears like it’s been stapled together previously on the opposite side of where the tyre blew and had a hole in. See the attached photograph this is and could’ve been potentially life-threatening for my daughter and her friend. They then carried on very slowly on the emergency tyre but 30 KM later that tyre also blew, at this point my daughter called roadside Assistance again, who after a considerable time showed up and towed the vehicle with my daughter and her friend to Alice Springs where the vehicle was once swapped out,
3 days later this 3rd vehicle also developed an engine warning light illuminated, when they stopped to investigate and they had to let the engine and radiator to cool down, they put water in the radiator only to find that there were 4 holes near the top of the radiator
Again, Roadside assistance, were called and a support vehicle attended and the vehicle was then swapped out, after 21 hrs
All of these being mechanical issues with your vehicles, therefore None of the above can ever be attributed to liability to my daughter/friend as your response is indicating and to be clear there was no damage by them, only by the mechanical issues of your vehicles,
mechanical preparations soundness and integrity of your vehicles is your responsibility, not the hire customer
I am deeply shocked by the photograph of the tyre which clearly shows what appears to be staples on the tire itself which brings into question about your pre-hiring out inspection. Obviously I do not know if a previous customer bodged this repair or it was done at one of your workshops needless to say it was not identified prior to you releasing this car to my daughter and her friend, absolutely shocking!! In closing regardless of the card issue whether it was pre authorisation or an attempt to withdraw the money, the card was declined and the point is you carried out this action without approval from my daughter, I understand this is a very public forum and realised I cannot attach a picture of the tire however she will send it to your Customer Care team and the screenshots and photos will be used when contacting the ACL if you fail to respond

People were good to deal with. Wasn't expecting a fancy vehicle for such a reasonable price.
However warning lights on dash at pick up made me concerned about reliability.
Doors into back of van were difficult to open so sometimes hard to get out from the bed.

I've had a great time in the D5 I hired from Campervan Village. I had no problems with the vehicle and it was comfortable to drive and sleep in. It had all I needed to camp, from outside table and chairs as well as inside and all cooking utensils, gas stove etc. It doesn't come with bedding though which was perfectly fine as I had my own. Also not to forget, I was able to pick up out of hours to suit my flight and travel plans! Thanks Team:))
