2 hotels had bed bugs
2 hotels had bed bugs. Due to multiple bites, I required medical care and suffered with skin irritation for mire than half the pilgrimage.

Overall the experience was excellent
Overall the experience was excellent. I appreciated the ease of the luggage service and having breakfast and dinner provided. Several of the hotels were excellent. However, I was not 100 percent satisfied with what felt like less than superior accommodation and food at one or two of the locations.

Camino ways took any worries or doubts…
Camino ways took any worries or doubts about accommodations away. All of the hotels they booked for us were friendly and clean. They shlepped out luggage to each destination and never lost a single item.
Communication through the entire process of booking was also top notch. They did great, 10 out of 10!

The hotels were nice
The hotels were nice. 2 of them were very out in the middle of nowhere …. Itinerary really didn’t describe the steepness of the hills on what you described as flat hike trails.. we did the Portuguese hike on the coast. Only one day was coastal. And the first day from Baoina to Vigo we hiked 12 miles before we had a rest stop. That was inhuman. Then another 1.5 miles to beach where we could swim. We passed many beaches we could have stopped at to rest and swim and cool off. It was 90 degrees that day. Maybe it’s the guides decision how we do this but it was really awful.
Again the steep hills and rough terrain of rocky trails for miles etc… were not honestly described in your tour guide….
We did meet great people. The monastery was an interesting place to stay. The pools were not hot springs as described ….i did hurt my knee and leg by third day straining on the very steep hills so the rest of the trip I was limping and just trying my best to get through each day .
Maybe I will try it again someday

Buen Camino ways!
We had a blast. Caminoways made it easy by arranging all the hotels and luggage transports. One hotel in caldas de reyes was quite disappointing but others were good and clean. Breakfasts were included and quite standard. The hotel in Pontevedra was palatial. All in all our experience was full of laughs and happiness and just a couple of “whoas” which made the experience even more memorable.

A great package again from Camino Ways
Great support from Camino Ways staff with an itinerary we needed to tailor for different needs within our group. The R1 hotels were overall very comfortable and characterful and/or had excellent facilities and friendly staff. Taxi and baggage transfers went really smoothly. One star off for the fact none of us could access or download what might have been very useful guides, as the Cicerone guide book recommended options which turned out to be higher and longer without stating this.

Camino Ways booked exceptional accommodations!!
We booked our accommodations and luggage transfer through Camino Ways. I would give them five PLUS stars. The luggage transfer was seamless-our bags were always there waiting for us. The rooms were superb! They were always in unique and wonderful areas, often in the old section of towns that we would never have found on our own. The staffs, breakfasts, dinners and overall ambiance of the hotels were A+. I would recommend Camino Ways hands down!

Hotel selection is not what it is…
Hotel selection is not what it is claimed to be. My booking for Melide, Pousada Chiquitin, was unacceptable. The key for the main door would not work and I was unable to leave the hotel. No response from the owner when I called, an inconvenience and safety issue. No lighting in the hallways or stairs, another safety issue. I received a quick response from the 24hr assistance line; assistance was unable to reach hotel owner. There was no review of the issue by Camino Ways until I made contact. Hotel owner’s lack of accountability was accepted by Camino Ways

Our Portuguese Camino
Every step along our journey, Camino Ways executed perfectly. Airport transfers upon our arrival in Porto, to our departure from Santiago de Compostela, were flawless. It was also the case regarding the movement of our luggage each day between our hotels. Finally, we were very pleased with the hotel accommodations arranged by the company.

The entire trip was very well…
The entire trip was very well organized. Staff was helpful with all aspects of the trip. The hotels were all excellent. The only issue we had was finding the hotels at the end of the day. The daily distances were from town to town but it was often quite a bit further to the hotels. It would be helpful if the daily hiking distances include those extra kms.

rookie walk by a 77 year old
It was my first camino walk at aged 77.hence decided to walk at tail end from vigo to santiago.despite the shorter walking distance it was still very chellenging the walk especially as it was over 6 days. Fortunately we broke the walk from padron to santiago over 2 days rather than over a single day as after 4 days of gruelling walk we sure welcome the shorter walk in the last 2 days.it was a good decision planned by camino ways for our walk .what we were disappointed about is having to be shuttled back to vigo for a second night as there were no room available in arcade and had to be re shuttled back to arcade to continue my walk the next morning

Caminoways took the stress out of travelling alone. Hotels were great and bag transfer service was fantastic. I could just concentrate on enjoying the experience.

Some of the hotels were terrible
Some of the hotels were terrible! Mold, broken tiles, rotted trim boards, etc. very disappointing! Most breakfasts, lacked any protein yogurt, eggs, meat, cheese, just bread and juice.
You did a great job with Camino Frances, but disappointed in accommodation and food on Italian camino!

We had a fantasic Camino fron Porto to Santiago de Compostela. We went the Coastal way. CaminoWays arranged everything very nicely. The web site is intuitive and easy. Everything worked from hotel reservations, taxi transfers, breakfast and dinner. I strongly recommend them.
