Yesterday, I ordered groceries on line from Dunne’s Stores,Childer’s Road, Limerick as I was ill and could not go out.Today, my order arrived. It is not often that I will publicly name a Retailer but I am doing so now. This is what I have sent to Dunnes Stores.

“I was delighted with the service given to me by your staff member. He checked with me where Items were unavailable as to whether to substitute or remove from list. Beyond that he checked with another branch located close by. That is Customer Service at its best. I will be shopping on line in the next three weeks and if this standard of service continues it will become part of my regular shopping activity. Well done to the staff member and to Dunnes Store”.👏👏👏

Great customer service and shopping is always punctual

Absolutely dreadful experience times and times again - I have been using the app for the past 3 years only out of necessity.
Issues:
-The app keeps crashing.
-Now after getting a new phone I cannot log into my account, despite paying for the buymieplus subscription.
-Delivery is always rescheduled (without permission) or cancelled altogether about 30 minutes before my shopping is supposed to arrive.
-Lately there is a new issue where you are unable to select vouchers for Dunnes.
-Customer support gives you the same generic answers and none of the issues ever get resolved.

*Giving 2 stars because some of the shoppers are genuinely lovely, despite not earning a liveable wage. It is not their fault the app has so many faults.

Edit Requested: it is not an issue with a single order, there has been a wide range of problems with multiple different orders. I have contacted customer support via chat link provided in the app and most of the time it's fluffed up "sorry you feel this way" kind of response. As someone who orders through buymie regularly, sometimes multiple times a week, having to face issues so often is unacceptable and nothing ever gets done about it. If you cannot fulfill an order, do not accept it, instead of having a customer wait at home for hours only to be told last minute "sorry but your order will be with you at a new time" without a care as to whether the customer is even going to be home. And it often isn't a delay of only an hour or so, which would be bad enough, but if I order groceries to come in the morning only for then be told they will be here in the evening now that's ridiculous.

I have a baby and a toddler and most of the time I will use buymie to order supplies that I need urgently like Calpol, nappies, wipes or milk. If I expect things like this to arrive at a certain time, I plan around it. Sometimes I can't wait another 5-6 hours for a delivery but I still need those products, especially since I live in a remote area that doesn't have those things readily accessible to me otherwise. I rely on buymie and keep using the service because I have no other option, I wouldn't use it otherwise because between the app glitching, orders being delayed, items always missing from the order, using this app is a nightmare.

Helpful & responsive customer service team.

First time using this service. But never again. Was overcharged on my account next day. Vouchers were taken off then applied again after I received goods.
Some goods out of date. Frozen food thawed out. I'll stick to Tesco great service.

This is a great service, same day,no extra delivery charge for same day and had the full selection of items available. Was able to use all my points and vouchers too. Will definitely be using this service again

Excellent service, super handy! Staff are always lovely, when I've had last-minute issues and need to change delivery dates or times they're so helpful. Has been a lifesaver when I'm busy!

Absolutely not fit for purpose. Wasted a whole afternoon when I could of and should of gone shopping myself. They kept changing the delivery time and in the end I had to cancel the order. Stick to Tesco in future.

I have used this app, and the shopping was delivered on time and without issue.

I have been using buymie on and off since it started. I love the convenience of same day grocery delivery, particularly with my hectic work schedule and young kids. I’d give it 5 stars but there’s usually a minor issue with every third order: missing items, overcharged or wrong items. For example - asking for pecorino Romano and I got parmesan in a similar looking packet. Or requesting burrata and getting buffalo mozzarella. I’m creative enough in the kitchen that it’s never a crisis and I would always order more than one dinner option in case something is genuinely out of stock. I’ll still keep using this service.
