Had a great time in scotland with a perfect camper

terrible.

When we first rented the car, the small mirror attached to the passenger-side side mirror was already very loose. We had to reattach it every time we parked.

As you know, the roads in the UK are narrow and often holes. One day, when we stopped to park, we noticed that the small mirror had fallen off.

This mirror was clearly unstable from the beginning, and it should have been properly checked before the car was rented to us. Since it was a product defect, we believe it is not our responsibility.

No accident occurred, and we are only filling out this form to explain the situation clearly.

The small mirror below the side mirror fell off at an unknown time and place. Since the damage was minor, I declined to file an accident report, but the rental car company did not accept this

Trustpilot does't allow for a sufficient number of characters to provide a complete, detailed, explanation, so here's the bottom line:

Bunk Campers will NOT help you if you have a problem. They will give you a phone number for someone else.

Bunk Campers will ABANDON you if there is a problem with your vehicle (I have the support emails from their management acknowledging this fact).

Bunk Campers will not partially reimburse you for time (DAYS) where you were unable to use the vehicle during your holiday/vacation due to lack of maintenance on their part.

Be aware, Bunk Campers doesn't care about you...only your money!

UPDATE to response from Bunk Campers: Both Amy Smyth, Fleet Mgr and Nicole McCrudden, Customer Service BOTH have stated that thl (parent for Bunk Campers) stand by the actions of the company and feel that I was properly cared for with my disastrous experience. Trying to spin by offering to speak with me directly is marketing fluff, as thl management already walked away.

Ma première expérience en 2019 a été bonne. Ma seconde expérience en avril 2025 a été catastrophique. Notre expérience a été très décevante lors que nous sommes allés récupérer notre VAN aménagé le 10/04/2025 puisque nous n'avons jamais eu le véhicule commandé 4 mois plus tôt mais un camping car de 7 mètres de long. En arrivant sur le parking j'étais surpris de n'apercevoir aucun van aménagé mais uniquement de gros camping-car. Lorsque nous nous sommes présentés à l'accueil et lorsque nous avons signé les documents on nous à jamais prévenu que nous n'aurions pas le véhicule souhaité. Nous reprochons à bunkcampers de ne pas nous avoir prévenu en amont et de ne pas nous avoir prévenu une fois sur place. Nous avons été mis devant le fait accompli sans solution alternative (1/2 plein de carburant offert). Le gabarit du véhicule proposé ne correspondait pas aux vacances que nous souhaitions réaliser. trop large pour les routes Ecossaises. Trop long pour voir se garer. Trop imposant pour pouvoir se garer dans de beaux endroits sauvages, nous avons été obligé de nous garer dans des camping tout le long du voyage alors que cela n'était pas notre projet. Il faut oublier la "van- life" c'est un mensonge. Il faut savoir que certaines routes sont également interdites aux camping-car. Nous avons le sentiment d'avoir été volé, trahi par la promesse initiale vendue par cette entreprise, qui soit disant propose des van-aménagés mais nous ne les avons jamais vus. Ils vendent sur leur site internet la VAN-LIFE mais pour nous cela s'est transformé en GROS CAMPING CAR LIFE, c'était très décevant ! Je déconseille cette entreprise

I traveled from the United States. Google search brought me to Bunk Campers. Booking my camper was easy and clear on the website. The price was great. The staff throughout the entire process were friendly and helpful. The camper was spotless and well maintained. Fantastic experience!!

Service, configuration of the campercar

Super Service. Wegen red allert bekamen wir eine gratis halb Tages Verlängerung.

Had an excellent time on our winter roadtrip though the scottish highlands with our bunk campervan. The aero 2 camper was perfect for 2, very spacious and warm. The camper was very clean and easy to drive, handled well in icy conditions. Whole experience with bunk campers was top notch from check in, to check out we felt safe the entire time. John was very kind and helpful giving us tips for the trip with a great knowledge of the areas we were travelling to. Will be using bunk campers for future travels.

1. la primera caravana que nos entregan viene con una cama rota por lo que al ser tres adultos y dos niños,uno de las adultos tuvo que dormir en el asiento del conductor
2. la ducha venía con fuga de agua por lo que ducharnos era imposible.
3. el agua de la autocaravana se perdió entera.
por lo que tuvimos que volver donde la alquilamos para que nos la cambiaran.
4. La segunda caravana que no se entregan viene con una cama rota.
5. el agua de la ducha se queda atascado.
6. en el desagüe el agua gris de la autocaravana en su depósito viene un poco atascado debido a que a lo mejor no ha sido bien limpiado por lo que al vaciar tarda más.
7. no viene con líquido para echar en el bote de desagüe del váter.
Y para colmo de males yendo de camino al castillo se nos pincha una rueda en la ctra A78, a las 7 de la tarde y llamando al servicio de la empresa no disponen de cobertura a esa hora por lo que tuvimos que estar sin atención en carretera hasta las 8 am, que se suponía que mandaban al servicio técnico, a las 12:06 de la mañana del día siguiente llega el mecánico,nos cambia la rueda (eso es lo mejor que nos pasó) después de estar hablando con la compañía más de tres horas.
Hemos tenido perdidas económicas, personales puesto que las vacaciones no las hemos podido disfrutar.
Pasando frío y hambre por los imprevistos.
Y menos mal que no nos dio por arreglar el pinchazo porque encima nos dicen que si lo hubiéramos arreglado nos hubieran sancionado con una especie de multa porque eso no tenemos que hacerlo.
El día de ayer mientras íbamos en carretera observamos que entraba aire por debajo del frigorífico,por lo que ir en carretera se nos hizo una pesadilla por el frio,hoy nos ha llovido y por ese mismo sitio entraba agua por lo que mejor no digo nada más .
Mañana entregamos la caravana asique veremos qué pasa.
Se nos arruinaron las vacaciones.

Very friendly and helpful people - pick up and drop off was efficient and pleasant. Everything as advertised. Hiring the van was absolutely the best choice for exploring Skye!

There were some initial hiccups with the motorhome we rented but Bunk Campers responded quickly and compensated us for the time we spent dealing with the issues. Check in took longer than expected but check out was quick and there were no unexpected charges. The motorhome was larger than we wanted but it turned out not to be a problem. Driving it in Scotland wasn't bad even though the roads are narrower than we are used to. I would highly recommend Bunk Campers. Easy to get to their Edinburgh location via the X18 bus to the Dunnet Way stop. We took ScotRail from Glasgow to the Haymarket station and caught the X18 there.

Unlimited mileage, new van which was a pleasure to drive.
