Bunk Campers - EdinburghOmdömen 

I would not recommend this motorhome hire company, also Just Go, based on my recent experience. The customer service was consistently poor and, at times, outright rude. From the beginning, the motorhome had several issues: it was not properly cleaned, there were leaks inside and out, and one of the tyres I think was already damaged — which eventually led to a puncture during our trip.

To make matters worse, the gas certificate in the vehicle was out of date. When I questioned this, they claimed to have a new one but have failed to share it, stating they weren’t legally required to — which raised serious safety concerns.

While they did eventually offer a goodwill gesture of £650 for the inconvenience, which I did accept it doesn’t make up for the lack of professionalism, the safety risks, and the time taken to get everything sorted. I would urge others to be cautious before booking with this company.

We hired our van for 23 days
Into day 6 still no hot water or heater
Still no one to help us
Also they say clean linen available to pick up from depots which is great if you are travelling near the depots
We are in north Scotland so will have to go back to Edinburgh to get fresh linen

We booked our trip with a transfer from the airport. Unfortunately we were not informed about how the transfer was going. So we got out of the airport and didn't know what to do next.

The handover of the motorhome was good, even if the motorhome had some defects inside.

But the reason for my bad rating is something different.
I feel a bit betrayed by BunkCampers.
I was involved in a truck accident.
The truck was driving on my side and I was already at the very edge. The truck hit me and the motorhome was damaged.
Since I was called by BunkCampers shortly afterwards, it was clear to me that the driver had also reported the accident.
The fault clearly lay with the truck driver, so the damage must also be paid for by the insurance company.
However, I didn't get my deposit back because of the damage.
This looks like fraud to me.

Love Bunk Campers, they are super reasonable and very helpful. We have used them on two occasions now and will continue to do so. Also their bedding is much better than their competitors (Indie Campers)

Great camping car, well equipped, and in really good shape. Pretty new.
The only recommendation they i would give if to ask if we have already a motor home experience, and if it’s not the case (as it was our case) take more time to explain all the technical aspects

We received an Aero motorhome instead of an Aero Plus, which was that we booked. Also the electric step was not working properly and the clean water system had some leakness.

The staff was wonderful. Very welcoming and they made us very comfortable during the check in process.
The vehicle was perfect and everything was explained with precision.
There was also some stuff that should have been an option included which was greatly appreciated.
The check out process was also very easy and with no hassle.
I would highly recommend booking a vehicule with bunk campers edimburgh.

Gran experiencia con esta empresa. La autocaravana era muy nueva y estaba impecable. Contaba con todo lo necesario. El personal que trabaja es muy amable y atento, muy dispuestos a ayudar y resolver dudas.
Cosas que mejoraría:
1. Los horarios de entrega y recogida son muy limitados. El día de recogida tuvimos que esperar 2h hasta que fuimos atendidos.
2. Los precios, aunque caros, van en la línea de otras empresas. Pero da la sensación de abuso en algunas de las opciones que ofrecen.

En definitiva, la recomendaría claramente y repetiría experiencia sin dudarlo.

Leider bei Abholung lange Wartezeit trotz vereinbarten Termin. Auch hier macht sich Personalmangel sichtbar. Eine genauere Erklärung für die Befüllung des LPG und Angaben über passende Tankstellen wäre hilfreich gewesen. Die Mitarbeiter waren sehr freundlich und geduldig. Der Camper war sauber und in gutem Zustand. Die Abgabe verlief dann sehr schnell. Für das Fehlen einer Gabel entschuldigte sich das Personal.

The staff are friendly and knowledgeable about the products. Fast service and a cheerful attitude at all times.

Do not use this company. After 48 hours of contacting support regarding an issue with our van and being dismissed numerous times, we were contacted back and told to drop the campervan back, ending our trip early. We were promised a refund for the dates missed due to this van error. We’ve been contacting the company for weeks on end regarding our refund, only to receive radio silence.

Great communication before pickup and upon arrival. Very straight forward. The friendliest service. We had the best time touring the Highlands. Efficient on gas. Easy to maneuver and maintenance. Really appreciate this service :) thanks for the experience

I had a great experience renting a camper van from Bunk Campers. The booking process was easy, the description was accurate, and the staff was professional and courteous throughout. Both the pick-up and drop-off processes were smooth and efficient.

The camper itself was clean, mechanically sound, and fairly recent. It was comfortable and perfect for our trip.

That said, even with the premium package, a few basic kitchen items were missing such as a cutting board, coffee maker, and proper knives. Also, some of the resource management sensors (like water or waste) didn’t seem to be working properly, which made it harder to plan around refills and dumps.

Overall, I was very satisfied and would definitely recommend Bunk Campers to others. Just be prepared to bring a few extra essentials for the kitchen

Booked collection for 2 pm on arriving at 2 pm was told they had emailed the day before to say it would actually be 3 pm. Came back at 3 pm van still not ready and they could not give a time scale on when it would be ready. Finally got on the road at 5 pm. 3 hours late!

We waited more than 2 hours to start pickup procedure, although we had been given a timeslot. We also did not get our furniture and toilet chemicals we paid for. The cooking pan was still dirty and all greasy.
