Now there’s clear technical competition to review how streaming should be, BBC is simply by far the worst offering. Netflix, Prime, ITV Hub, Four, Now, Rakuten, YouTube all work with minimal technical hitches. I watch BBC with bated breath wondering how long until the spinning circle and then “Something went wrong....”. I’ve no bandwidth issues. Everything works except BBC. Dire.

I paid the annual fee for Britbox because it has all the old British comedies and murder mystery programs I enjoy.
5 weeks in, I suddenly can't get any programs working. Ridiculous. I bet they won't give me my money back now they have it either

I received an email with a special offer of 40% off...I checked box where indicated and sent. I could not get the channel so emailed them. They responded saying I was not listed anywhere in their system yet I had been receiving emails from them. They said no email address in system and Questioned if I had correct Email address. After numerous times of telling them my address was same as emails they had been sending me I decided to end my multiple correspondence to them.

Watched episodes of Vera two nights running. On both occasions the programme froze with about 4 minutes left, just before the final scenes. No it’s not me, my broadband or my TV, it’s rubbish technology and I for one have had enough.

I do like the programing but the one thing that drives me crazy is that there is no way to delete the "continue watching" segment. All contact with BritBox says that "they are working on it." This has been going on for 2+ years. Programs that you watch completely are sometimes still listed as continue watching. If you watch something for 10 minutes, and decide it is not for you, it stays there.
Anyone have an answer? You used to be able to go to the last episode, play it and then it would delete the whole program. Since they recently re-vamped the site that no longer works,

Twice in the last couple of weeks I could not start up Britbox on my Samsung TV for a whole evening. I could also not start up iPlayer or ITV Hub. Netflix, AppleTV, Prime Video all worked so do the UK services share a common server?

Britbox UK is total rubbish. Half the time it keeps freezing and the other half it doesnt work at all. Taxpayers money goes on this trash. Subscription cancelled 3 days after I had it. Useless!

A corporation that has used bully boy tactics for years to get their licence fee. Then squanders it , and feeds the nation a diet of pc/sjw crap and endless repeats. And then has the nerve to make the licence holders to pay again to watch the shows they have already funded on britbox! Pay per view funding needs to be forced on them!

I've an issue with the concept. BBC programming is paid for by TV licence so paying for it is simply wrong. It should be in iPlayer and simply available for those who have TV Licence. Bearing in mind any ITV content was paid for by ads it's a total rip off imo.

Service itself works ok though search function doesn't actually search hence the 2 stars. This may work for those with a rose tinted view of old and often awful TV from yesteryear but I don't have that view. Granted the last point is my opinion only. I had a look but not impressed enough there to follow through and buy.

Trying to use bbc iPlayer now you have made a terrible mess with sign in. DOES NOT WORK. NOWHERE TO ENTER CODE. YOU HAVE STOLEN MY TIME AND MONEY. I WANT MY MONEYBACK.

Paying twice? No thanks. Content on Britbox should be on iPlayer and free for licence fee payers.

Software is very poor. Login impossible. Can't actually receive content. Why are we paying for this content given that we've paid for the licence?

Prompted to login to Britbox and enter a code. Won't connect to the Britbox page, and eventually find a way to login, and it just hangs with the hourglass. Absolute garbage. I hate it when these technical services fail on the most basic processes. And then you can't get customer service. An absolute joke! I'm blocking my payment. I'm not paying for this utter incompetence.

Why pay again for BBC's content, when I've already paid for it via the unfair license

AlthoughThe programming is extensive, the app it’s self is horrible!!

I’ve had the service for all of us one day and I have had to uninstall and reinstall the app three times. Each time I leave the app, I have to jump through hoops to sign back in going to the brit box website to reconnect to my fire TV. I’ve spent more time wrestling with the app then I have viewing the content!

Until or unless they improve this wretched app, there’s way too much entertainment out there through apps that actually work and are easy to navigate. BritBox is not one of them!

Save your money!! It’s an absolute shame in 2020 with technology so readily available that this particular forum should be such a disaster!

Absolutely HORRIBLE experience. 1) I had the 7 day free trial 2) Forgot my password 3) Clicked on link to reset my password 4) Was told a reset link would be sent to my email. 4) Never got the reset link 5) Tried 3 more times, was told the same thing, and NEVER got an email with the reset link 6) Called Britbox, listened to that stupid idiot talk while I was on hold for 20 minutes, and was finally told to call back later and was hung up on. 7) Called back, same BS, although I didn't listen to the stupid idiot, I stayed on the line to see what what would happen ---same thing, 20 minutes on hold and hung up on. 8) Meanwhile I couldn't take advantage of my 7 day free trial. 9) Called Amazon. They responded immediately, told them I was done with Britbox and why, and they immediately CANCELLED my free trial for me and any future association w/Britbox. I've told everyone about my experience. What a scam!

Advertising - flagship system all the best of ITV, BBC etc. Reality - poorest performance and functionality of any of the platforms. Freezes, resets, fails, restarts. The only reliable bit that never fails is the direct debit. That works OK.

Constant buffering on a few seconds rewind. Unresponsive customer service. Clearly not a Brit in charge of the US service. Please don't waste your money. What a pity, too, because lots of interest in British programming in US. This is pure highway robbery.

There are lots of programes I would like to watch but the interminable buffering makes it unwatchable. I have 18Mbts download and have no problem with Netflix, Prime ,iPlayer etc . Don't think I be bothering with it anymore.Worst streaming service ever.
