Bristol Zoo Gardens Omdömen 

Disappointed visit , we were first met with members of staff running around with dart guns apparently not loaded talking on walkers about an escaped monkey , but kept getting told it was a drill …. Funny time to do a drill on a packed school holiday day 🤨 the animals weren’t visible and the ones that were looked inactive and miserable especially the gorillas, I really came away not being able to stop thinking of them . I didn’t get the best vibe for the animals happiness .

Still I hope an ongoing project as it’s very messy. The gorillas well so disappointed. The main structure looks good but the outside area lacks any stimulation for the animals. No ropes no tyres no swings no slides just over grown weeds. No wonder they didn’t come out. Not a touch on on Port lymph or Howlets in Kent actually very sad. Didn’t seem much room at all for savannah animals eg giraffe zebra. Bears and wolves seemed happy the again so overgrown enclosure for the lynx would give little to no chance of seeing them and we have been a few times now. Staff were nice play areas were excellent food expensive which is the norm so take a picnic.

Quite disappointed with our visit. Areas not open, park quite hard to find way around. Viewing areas of animals is quite poor and didn’t see that many.
One thing I will say is bring your own water bottles , unless you want to spend a disgusting £4.25 on a bottle of so called eco water!
It’s costly enough to go and then the cost of a simple thing like water is ridiculous.

Also be careful when you book. I booked on Monday and the very next day they changed the price. When challenged they were not bothered. Keep your prices fixed rather than fluctuating day in day out. Not everyone has money to throw around.

What a wonderful day out here. The first time we have visited since it moved. Very wild winding paths promoting local wildlife. Exhibits very well done, lots of volunteers there to help find and talk about animals. A lot of endangered animals in great environments. I did the giraffe experience which was amazing and Ben was very knowledgeable and made the experience. Woodland walk is wonderful and although we dont have young children, there is loads there for them. Vegan pulled mushroom burger was fantastic 😋
We will be returning.

Poorly thought out ways of viewing, difficult to see animals through reflections, angles of windows and lack of animals for a zoo.
Only managed to see 2 giraffes, 3 wolves, 2 bears, a few Birds and meerkat. May be about 10 others. Was expecting better living conditions for most of the animals as advertised. And maybe more living together.
Most live in more than 2 in wild.
Nothing interactive to do for teenagers, high ropes, high bridge etc
Noahs Ark is far Superior.
Very expensive £80 for family of 4. For what was there.
(Would pay more if it was a better experience)

So very disappointing!
Very few animals here. Two Giraffes, two Zebra, a few Lemur, three deer, two bears, one Emu with a broken wing. There may have been a Cheetah, but no sign of it. No sign of any wolves. That was it.
Such a shame. Won’t be returning. Cotswold Wildlife Park is vastly better.

Bristol Zoo & Gardens have been enjoyed by many over the decades. A shame they will be closing their downs to the public in September, though glad they will be promoting the Wild Place Project near Cribbs Causeway which is part of their work.

Three adult gorillas in the space of a small bedroom. Two adult lions stuck in the space of my humbly sized living room. Three galapagos turtles in the space of my bathroom. Lemures hiding their eyes from the persistent stares of the visitors with no space to hide.

Visit Bristol Zoo Gardens to financially support animal torture.
