bad experience all round, next day delivery 3 days late, complained on their facebook page as tried 2 days to get them on the phone, received a phone call 10mis after complaint saying order was being delivered that day ,then later received a phone call from an irate arrogant managing director, who thought he could bully a 75yr old lady , well he found out he couldnt, i shop online for almost anything i need and have had never had to complain , in fact the service has been outstanding , so would i recommend NO

Some seeds missing from mix
I ordered chalk and limestone 100% wildflower seeds. However, not all seeds listed on the website as being part of the mix were actually in there (and I am quite experienced - I know what these seeds look like). No wild carrot seed to be seen, no goatsbeard, no dropwort. At the same time, the seed is dominated by one particular species I can't recognise, and the plant (whatever it is) is not listed as part of the mix. Finally, let's just add that toadflax and sainfoin are hardly native plants, but that's a little beside the point... All in all, I'm fairly disappointed that some species were missing - they were part of the reason I ordered the mix to begin with.

Great for unlawful irritating spam in your inbox.
Auto-enrolled me into spam without my consent. Annoying, unlawful, irritating. Customer lost for life because that's how you reward me for a purchase. Think through your unlawful actions.
No doubt a response will appear below this review saying I must have ticked a box or even left a clearly visible pre-ticked 'soft subscribe' box ticked. No, I didn't. No doubt the response will say I can contact customer services to get help unsubscribing, Don't bother. I know how to do that, but shouldn't have to. That's why there is a law against it.

They use DX so never actually got the bulbs
I have no idea if Boston Seeds' products are any good as I never got to enjoy them as they use the worst delivery company ever, DX. Having waited in all day, the named delivery driver didn't turn up, just his mate very late in the day with half the delivery as a "favour". Not wanting half an order, and with no idea on the fate of the rest, I refused delivery and contacted Boston Seeds for a refund. Reputable companies use the better couriers, not the cheapest.
Hope the seeds are better than the service
Ordered two packets of wild seed and paid for next-day delivery. They sent it to the wrong address - my billing address not my home address - and refused to redeliver, refund or put thing right unless I paid to do it all myself. I had a team of gardeners in situ - no work for them so more lost money for me. And had to go out to buy more seed, thereby leaving me totally out of pocket. No clue if the seeds are any good as they are not with me so totally unusable - the service at Boston Seeds definitely is lacking. A shame as I set out deliberately to help an East of England company and support the local economy ... What was the point?

I ordered £280 worth of wild flowers
I ordered £280 worth of wild flowers, fertiliser and grass seed on a next day delivery basis. All but the grass seeds turned up two days later. I rang the company and was assured that the seed would be delivered the next day, this did not happen. I emailed them as I could not contact them on the phone but did not receive a reply. Not good service. I have emailed to cancel the order and await a reply.

I wish I'd read these reviews first
I wish I'd read these reviews before I ordered from this company. I know we are in difficult times. Allowances should be made. However, my wildflower seed order of approx 3 weeks ago has not arrived. I emailed the company after 10 days to let them know that the order hadn't arrived and they replied saying it had been despatched on the 22nd of September and that they would send another. Today is the 5th of October and to date I have recieved nothing. Would this company please stand up and admit they are in difficulties or start issuing refunds PLEASE.

Just had a rude email from the Commercial Director of Boston Seeds. He's not interested in my complaint, accused me of trying to get something for nothing and suggested I resolve my problem by paying them yet more money. What a dreadful company to do business with. £250 badly spent.

I'm writing this in the hope that someone from Boston Seeds will reply to my email and contact form submission. The seeds I received looked the part but the hand spreader was less than useless. Once mixed with sand, the spreader simply didn't function. So I had to spread by hand and only managed to sow half the area as a result. Their estimation of how much coverage you get per kg is way off. Do I really want to spend another £250 with a company that can't be bothered to reply to my complaint? I feel duped and let down.

Fast delivery service, grass was growing within a week. Brilliant!!

Excellent results in one acre garden.
I ordered 4 20kg of grass seed and four bags of fertiliser. The fertiliser turned up but not the grass seed. However after an email they guaranteed it would be dispatched the following day and it arrived the day after that. I have dropped one star as I had to chase my order.
That aside, the grass seed i received and the fertiliser were excellent and have given brilliant results. I seeded one acre of land and it looks excellent.

Misleading Delivery
Ordered grass seed online and paid for next day delivery.
Didn’t receive my order until three days later.
When ordering item online, the only option for delivery was next day delivery.
Totally dissatisfied with customer service, dismissive and rude.
Would recommend using another company if you don’t want to pay premium rates for a delivery service Boston Seeds don’t provide.

Disgraceful customer service
I’ve dealt with this privately run family business in the past without any problems. I have to say that my opinion has now altered.
I placed and paid for an order on 03/04/2020. The site, like many others, refer to possible delays of orders to to the Coronavirus pandemic. This I perfectly understand. The website states that delivery will be 3-5 days even for orders marked ‘express delivery ‘. We’re now day 17, 11 working days still without my order. I have contacted them numerous times on all platforms without receiving any response. If they gave an explanation then I would understand should there be a backlog etc. Customers cannot get through by telephone. We are simply directed to either their website, Facebook page or messenger. They have read my messages, that I can see. Unfortunately, I’m surprised that no one has had the decency to respond. It seems I’m not alone in this situation , with several customers also complaining of poor customer service and no deliveries as promised.
I’ll admit that I am getting very irritated with them. How a business expects to thrive with this attitude is beyond comprehension.
Seeds never turned up
Seeds never turned up, ignored all my correspondence, had to go through payment issuer for a refund. My opinion is, stay well clear of this lot, they just take your hard earned money then ignore you and seem to not ship out, almost thieving in my books.

Excellent service.
This is the first time I have used this company. I place an order for grass fertiliser 12 February and it arrived by DHL courier the following morning at 9 am. Excellent service and true to their word with the delivery. Can’t fault them in anyway. Will definitely use them again.

I purchased some spring flowering bulbs from them and 10 days in I sent them an Email regarding the whereabouts of my order.
There reply was "they've left Holland but dont have any further more information"
I'm still waiting on my order whitch now is two weeks ago.
I will be taking this company to trading standards for fraud as I'm concerned I wont ever recieve my order for my client.
Discusting customer service!!!!!
