I had a great experience

I had a great experience. Hats shipped quick. Great quality but they were too big. I sought an exchange of all three. Was sent a return label at no cost and had my replacements within a few days just as their site guaranteed. I would purchase from them again.

Absolutely love the Hats!!!! Price good size good customer service destroys the experience and the company. I have ordered from Boston Scally direct no 3rd party many times a few shipping issues but arrived. Well this time was unfortunately the last time I can purchase from them purchased 4 hats in this order one being a special with bag and coin was 200.00 bucks plus and was marked as preparing for shipping now mind u paid for 2 day shipping which really takes 4 due to processing but hey things go wrong contacted because 5 days later still says preparing for shipping now this is all on there web site and on there web site says to be delivered on the day before I contacted them. Received many many excuses and none made sense I have all the email chains pictures of my account on the website and the flipped answers I have received. I have forwarded all to the BBB as well as the local police in Mass. conveniently 838pm tonight after contacting police sending them emails I receive another email saying they were going to refund my money today but I already started the charge back process you dam right at the police’s recommendation listen it’s only 200 bucks but I have all the patience and time in the world and don’t like to be cheated. I will also say I offered an out all they had to do was replace and send me the other hats besides the special I would eat that one as I know it was sold out on there site but never a response to that they say I should write a review on Fedx oh I will as I have an account with them and as soon as they would have put my name in the computer too ship I would have received a shipping alert come on folks. Be aware they make good hats they are NOT good people if you get it your lucky I am sure they have sent out thousands of hats but I have been reading there reviews and holy cow it’s trend just my warning too you

Quality is ok - nothing special here, just some felt and a brim - but they think they deserve $8 for returns - avoid this company and shop in person

Arrived Today: The Violet Rose & pin is a truly awesome cap. I love it. My 'Box of Chocolates' has been dispatched and I'm eagerly awaiting it's arrival. Boston Scally's rock, alright.

I really love the products

I really love the products. But a bad experience has soured me from ever buying them again.
I got a gift from my elderly dad. It was the wrong cap and didn't fit. So we returned it. They only send a credit to the original email address (aka buyer) and not the recipient. My Father can't seem to locate the credit email and we have a limited time to use it. So we will dispute the charge and never buy from them. Why is it when I get a Goldbelly or Harry and David gift and it's no probs. Melted frozen goods? No worries. Smushed pears - here's another box. I returned the cap and it was received. Now it's all blah blah blah about taking care of the customer. No more.

I ordered a scally hat for my husband…

I ordered a scally hat for my husband for Christmas, following some holiday advertising they marketed in November. The hat was unfortunately too small and when asking for an exchange after opened on Christmas, or a store credit to size up, the company refused after multiple emails. Apparently, my order was too soon in November and outside of their exchange window that started on Nov 21. My fault for not fully digging into their holiday return window but would have appreciated something as I was not looking to return, just an exchange. So, unfortunately have to make research every merchant for policies can be challenging, especially at the holidays, and the company is not willing to move on policies to keep a future customer

Horrible customer service

Got my husband a hat for Christmas. Sized it according to their sizing recommendations. It was too big. I immediately contacted company to exchange for the correct size. Was informed that I was past their 1 month return/exchange window. They didn't care that it was a Christmas gift. Actually told me that they didn't guarantee gifts. What a crock. I didn't ask for money, just a smaller hat. Think twice before ordering from this company.

Terrible customer service experience

Terrible customer service experience. On a purchase of over $200 with this company. I order 4 caps and 2 cap pins.
The caps showed up and 1 of the $8 cap pins.
I reached out, in hopes that the company would quickly remedy the issue.......no such luck. I was asked to look in the box, floor/area when I opened the box, each cap and packing paper.....I did and did again.
I sent a 2nd email........sharing that I did, and still no pin. Then asked to send pics of the box and paper in the box.
again, I looked and its not here. They are asking me to now find the box, the paperwork and send pics. Does the company think that's CUSTOMER SERVICE from the customers perspective. I'll get it.....the company wants to make it impossible to go through the all the hoops to take care of an already frustrating experience. Again......TERRIBLE Experience!!!!

Did Not Honor Their Return Policy

I bought three hats and had them shipped to my house. They were all too big, so I went online to return them. They have a 14-day refund policy. The only online option was to request a gift card, not a refund. So I wrote them an email requesting a refund and sent the hats back. Now they say that I can only have a gift card because that is the option I selected. I've filed a chargeback with my credit card company and informed them that I will warn others about their deceptive business practices.

Best for winter

I like these hats and the style but they are pretty warm and best worn in winter. I can't wear them in the summer. When it's cool enough I love getting them out!

No customer service

I received a hat 30 days past their return window (Christmas gift from my mother) and they said too bad, didn't even attempt to offer any store credit or anything. Unfortunately the hat doesn't fit so I will donate it to Goodwill. Most decent companies will at least attempt to trade if for another size or offer you some type of store credit. I see there are other reviews here of similar nature. Not surprising after my experience.

SCAM.....Kind of. Just beware.

Bought a hat. They sent a tracking number that Fedex says it was cancelled by the shipper. Email is the only way to contact the company which is a huge "red flag". They replied that the wrong tracking number was used but they didn't provide the good one. Paid for 2 day shipping. Still waiting a week later. I have lost hope that I'll see my hat or money. I consider this to be a scam company. Doesn't look like I'm the only reviewer with the same thought. Just wish I looked into the company more before ordering.

Update: received the hat 8 days later. Quality is 6-7 out of 10. Ha. Not worth the $48 I paid. So the company came through, but offering 2 day delivery is still a scam in my book.

Company prides on being a US company…

Company prides on being a US company but hates are not made here. They continually sell items they don’t have any stock on at all. I received death threats in their forum and they did nothing about it. Anyone who says anything negatively is banned, removed or reviews taken down. Do NOT trust these people!

dont use this company

I returned a cap to Boston Scally Co. and, to this day, they won’t send me the replacement or refund my money. Emails go completely unanswered, there is no phone number to call, and the company is essentially holding my money and my property hostage.

This is unacceptable and unprofessional. A company that can’t honor a simple return and refuses all communication does not deserve your business. Save yourself the headache — do not order from Boston Scally Co.

I really like Boston Scally their products are great, and the caps are awesome.
But if you’re ordering from Europe, be careful. The company uses extremely irresponsible delivery services that drop parcels anywhere with no care or signature.

I already warned them about this before, but nothing has changed. It’s very disappointing to see such a good brand use such poor delivery companies. I paid for proper shipping, not to have my parcel left who-knows-where.

Fantastic products, but terrible delivery service and that ruins the whole experience.

Good hat

I bought the "Scarecrow" limited edition hat, it fits well and is comfortable. The hat is well made and when i contacted the company to ensure my order was correct they responded quickly and were very helpful. This company seems to have had issues in the past with others selling fake products in their name, but the company i dealt with were pleasant and the product is nice.
