Dreadful
Dreadful. Any gift company that fails to deliver gifts in time really deserves to go out of business. Ordered on 12 December (ahead of Christmas delivery timescale) - order was only sent on 24 December. The food I've ordered is going to hang about Parcelforce warehouses for 5 days and might well get ruined. Plenty of excuses, but no sense that the company was bothered to sort the problems. Given the margins on their products, really should have bitten the bullet and spent money to fix things. They didn't. Hilarious that the compensation for their awful service for the offer of £5 off my next offer. What next order?
Zero integrity
They take your money they don’t supply. They won’t answer phones or emails. Today my credit card provider paid me back. Remember credit card companies are obliged by law to protect you against fraud and rogue traders. Suggest everyone does the same...Simple maths formula..If they could not fulfill the orders, it is unlikely they will be able to fulfill the refunds.
Avoid like the plague
Shame on you all- you've left us all totally high and dry and yet are finding time to reply to the very few people who have left a positive review and you're flagging negative ones as spam. You can't just shut your phonelines- we've all paid for products. It's so obvious you don't care.
Christmas hamper no show
Ordered the Christmas hamper due to be delivered on 23 Dec. It hasn’t been delivered, I have no info on when to expect delivery and no response from Borough Box to my enquiries. Understand it’s a busy time but the company seems to have taken more orders than they could fulfil. I have requested a refund and will be pursuing with my bank.

As a regular customer I had paid for a monthly chocolate subscription back in July which had arrived promptly each month. December though it had not arrived and was due to by 21st December . It has now become an important delivery for someone spending Christmas alone so I made a call and thanks to Borough Box it arrived this morning. It sounds like their operations service are struggling and inconsistent and not every experience is a positive one, but I hope the feedback we are all leaving will be useful for them to take on board going forward. Chocolate is however great quality when it turns up!

Poor service
Ordered a hamper as a Christmas gift on the 7th December. Prior to order made two queries by phone and left a message, neither have been responded to. We decided to go ahead regardless, but have not received the order, or managed to get any response to our various emails and phone messages. Absolutely appalling service, Covid is no excuse for this, it’s just poor service from a company that clearly doesn’t care.
Christmas order delayed until after Christmas
My order has not arrived in time for
Christmas. They have not replied to my email chasing the order I have since received a tracking email saying it will be delivered on 29th December which is of absolutely no use to me. I will now have to find a last minute alternative present and try to return this one. I wish they had not taken my money if they couldn't deliver in time
Gutted Customer
Ordered on 17th Oct for delivery 23rd December. No delivery, no reply to 2 emails,no reply to message left on answerphone!. The order was to be sent for Xmas to an elderly couple. I'm so upset this has not arrived, no explanation at all.
Now I guess I have the stress of getting my money back. I know times are tough which is why I wanted to use a small business but truly disapointed.

Very poor service and communication
Incredibly poor service and, in particular, communication. Led to believe that they would be able to deliver in time for Christmas, only to chase them on the 23rd December to be told that they would now not be delivering.
Have no issue with companies being impacted by Covid - God knows it's bad enough for everyone, however, the ability to take people's money on the basis of false promises and lack of ability to communicate has nothing to do with Covid - just poor customer service.
Seems to me that Borough Box need to learn that reputations are precious things and can be lost very quickly if customer service comes a poor second to the bottom line.
Interesting that the review site they direct customers to as their 'preferred' (and paid for) platform doesn't seem to be accepting reviews at the moment... I wonder why?

Having finally got a response from Boroughbox and agreement to both a cancellation and full refund, no surprise that no refund has been forthcoming. To make matters worse I got notified today of a failed delivery, as the courier was apparently 'unable to find the address' - this in spite of the fact that the replacement order I placed with a reputable company (evidently NOT Boroughbox) was delivered 2 weeks ago and that the order was confirmed as cancelled!
I sadly note that far too many other customers are experiencing the same issues, so can't be long before BB stop trading and, phoenix like, another company rises from the ashes...
Needless to say, will be raising with my Credit Card company as a fraudulent transaction.

Adam @ Artizan Fudge purchased through Borough Box - what a find! My first time using Borough Box and I found the most wonderful handmade fudge company run by Adam Kendler. Easy transaction with BB and instant recognition of my order from Adam who emailed and called me direct. BB was a successful 3rd party ordering site and Artizan Fudge is a highly recommended company supplying the most divine sweet treats. We gave these gifts as presents to over 100 customers and they were all very happy. Thank you BB for the easy transaction and especially Adam for the fabulous fudge.

Ordered a hamper on 7th October for…
Ordered a hamper on 7th October for delivery on 18th December to allow for the current climate and still not arrived. I’ve emailed several times, called and no one ever answers! I had one single reply with a link to the courier service so contacted them (Yodel) and they said they have no parcel from Boroughbox. I specifically ordered well in advance due to the current climate but what was the point. I wouldn’t mind if they at least replied and even if they could confirm a delivery date but they just don’t respond at all! Terrible customer service. Won’t ever use again!
Order for a cheese hamper
I ordered a cheese hamper as a present for a friend and had it delivered to their address.
The order explicitly stated ‘the item is a gift’ And I also added a message.
Upon arrival the recipient didn’t receive a note and therefore had no idea who the parcel was from, in addition to having the invoice in the package which I think is ridiculous.
I contacted the company to complain and they forwarded it to the chuckling cheese company.
This was over a month ago now and I’ve heard nothing from either company.
I have emailed Boroughbox for a follow up and still no response- over a week now.
The customer service is appalling, I would expect at least an email to confirm a follow up.
I won’t be using this platform again and I’m incredibly disappointed by this experience and I was looking forward to this being sent!

Ordered in good time for a Christmas hamper. Have waited patiently for this to arrive after receiving an email asking customers to not contact them and wait for orders which would come. Now two days before Christmas my order has not even been picked and won’t be here in time. Customer service is non-existent. They don’t reply to emails and have no phone number to contact them. I think this is a scam company and I would advise anyone reading these reviews to avoid them like the plague. I wish I had!

Once again made the mistake of not checking Trustpilot before using a new company. I used BoroughBox to send a hamper to my brother for Christmas, placed the order on the 11th December asking for delivery on the 21st, but the delivery wasn't made and the hamper is still out there somewhere. They hadn't even packed the hamper for dispatch until today the 23rd December. Looks like it is unlikely to arrive for Christmas.
Don't be using this company for sending presents to family if you still want to be talking to your family during Christmas. Totally unacceptable

Utterly disgusted with your service! Have been receiving emails from your suppliers advising they can not get in touch with you either!! So... letting down your customers and your suppliers!!!! Not good!! Very disappointed

Borough Box :(
Ordered a Borough Box on 13th Dec and didn't even receive for Christmas despite clearly confirming that was the purpose. They do not answer emails either so overall my advice is to avoid at all costs.
Thoroughly disappointed
I am thoroughly disappointed with Borough Box and their seeming inability to manage the Christmas demand. A hamper I ordered on 12th December for my 82-year-old Aunt who will be spending Christmas on her own this year has still not arrived. And latest communication from Borough Box tells me it may not arrive before Christmas now.

As previous takes payment delivers nothing ignores correspondence probably another covid scammer why would a reputable company continue taking orders with no stock or without filling existing orders AVOID at all costs placed a order with one of their excellent competitors 👍and goods arrived 2 days later same money better goods and service.

Promised a lot, delivered nothing!
similar to feedback from others, took my money, promised a lot time and again, now weeks later, and many emails later, still delivered nothing; its not even like i left it until last minute to order ..... real shame. Certainly doesn't encourage you to support their business going forward, or trust what they say?!
