Appalling Service
Received a hamper as a gift and was really impressed with the contents. Ordered a couple of boxes for friends within the Christmas order timescales ( 13th Dec )...it is now still not delivered. Emails ignored until I posted something on social media, responses thereafter vague and inaccurate. No one answering the phone. I'd avoid disappointment and choose another small business to support.
Great customer service
I had bought an E Gift Card for somebody as a Christmas present and had a slight issue with it as a result of my own doing. The team were really helpful and offered great customer service to help me resolve this. I was really pleased with how they handled everything.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. Hamper ordered on 5 Dec as a gift, for delivery 23 Dec. Still not delivered as at 31 Dec. Tried emailing several times via link on confirmation order and via website. No response other than auto email. Tried phoning- message says email them via link on confirmation order and they'll respond. I'm still waiting. Does this company still exist or has it gone bust? Abysmal customer service if they are still in existence, and I certainly won't be using the 100 points 'earned' for their delay.
The worst customer service
I cannot tell you how awful this company is, how shockingly bad their customer service is and how much grief they have caused me. I wish I had read these reviews before ordering. Do not use this company under any circumstances.
Terrible Customer Service
Absolutely shockingly bad service. I placed my order 16 days before Christmas for my parents Christmas present. Full payment was taken immediately, but as of 30/12/20 there is still no sign of the order. I would like to warn potential customers so they don’t have to go through this disappointing experience. I have paid over £100 to leave my parents without a Christmas present.
Hard to believe it’s not a scam
I first heard of Borough Box when our work ordered us a selection each for Christmas in November. “What a good idea” I thought, my sister and brother in law enjoy their food and so my partner and I ordered them their Christmas present via Borough Box having seen the range of excellent produce on offer on the company’s website.
The work boxes never arrived, and so fearing the worst we began to contact the company for updates on our order. No response.
At last, after the 5th email we have sent, a reply was received today. Apparently Borough Box have been “struggling slightly at Christmas time” thus the cause of the delay/lack of response.
Upon request of a refund we were told that this would put a small business ‘in defecit’ if they delivered the order and refunded us.
But luckily it turns out - after a bit of pushing for information - the order hasn’t even been fulfilled yet (4 weeks after order) so we can have a refund after all. If this is slightly struggling to Borough Box, their ‘running normally’ must be awful 365 days of the year.
AVOID and give your money to another small business that deserves it rather than these chancers.
Edit - to add that we were first offered 100 points on our account as a goodwill gesture. I’ve only just stopped laughing at the thought that Borough Box think we’d ever go near them again.
Avoid!!
Having found out about this company due to my workplace organising boxes as Xmas gifts for staff I decided to order some gifts for my family also, as looked like a great idea. Despite ordering on 7th December, and sending 4 enquiries about the status of the order, I received no response, no delivery information, and still no delivery date a week after Xmas. Offer to refund delivery costs and no more or “they would be losing money” is frankly laughable when I finally heard back. And surprise surprise the gifts organised by my workplace also never arrived. Avoid this company.
Let down and disappointed!
Placed an order on 16th November to be delivered on 24th December. Thought I was giving plenty of notice. Money taken from my credit card same day. 30th December, no dispatch notice, no yodel tracking number and no response to my polite enquiry as to where it was. I won’t be using them again. I appreciate deliveries go wrong but everyone else at least seems to have a dispatch notice. I’ve had nothing and the recipient has no Christmas gift.
Editing to say that I have now received a yodel estimated delivery for New Years Eve. Tier 4 hasn’t helped couriering things but a bit disappointed that ordering that early I wasn’t sent an update prior to Christmas that it hadn’t been sent.

Who are the 75% of customers who rate this abysmal company as excellent. This Christmas you have managed to spoil so many customers wishes, it is shameful. I spent £99 on an order on 11December, not arrived. I think the yodel tracking number is fake to us false up. Don’t loose your money with this shameful company

Abysmal. I placed an order on the 10th December, today on 30th December I've received notification that they are trying to deliver it to the wrong address.
I've had zero response over the last few weeks from their customer service team.
I will never use this company again and would suggest avoiding them.
AVOID BOROUGH BOX
I’m a first time buyer from BB. Placed an order on 12th Dec. Appreciate due to covid there would or could be delays in delivery. however, from the date order placed I have receive an email (generic email) stating due to covid etc delivery is after Christmas. email suggested if it is indeed missed the confirmed delivery date we can get reimbursed for delivery charge. Considering BB are not the only online service yet only BB have failed in honouring the customers request. This is an utter disgrace that I have not had any customer care or response to any communication made to BB. It is BB who are accountable for taking our money and not delivering the goods. BB have not taken care of or put their customers first. Absolute shameful. The VPs of this shambles of an organisation should be ashamed of the very poor service just based on the other reviews it shows you are still not respecting your customers reviews and only choose to respond To the folk how were fortunate to receive their goods. How can I support a market that clearly are unreliable and not true to their mission statement. Absolutely appalled at this service and especially as a first time customer you did nothing to keep my interested in your services. I will now proceed to work with PayPal to redeem a full refund.

Ordered a gift on 11/12 to ensure delivery for Christmas, had not heard anything by 22/12 so sent an email to the customer service address. I did not receive a response to this email but had a mail from yodel stating that they would have my parcel soon, as of today the tracking details still show that they have yet to receive the package. Have had no response from (blundering) Borough Box and it seems that I am far from alone. I wanted to support small producers and have tried to be patient, however I'm now £100 down and the recipient has had no gift from us. Stupidly I paid on debit card as the company appeared legit, however I fear that these cowboys have ridden off with my money and my snacks.

Avoid using BoroughBox!
Being in the same position as many people this year I ordered a gift for my elderly mother, who has been on her own since March. I used BoroughBox to send a gift and was sent an email to reassure me that it would be delivered by Christmas. I have had no further correspondence and no delivery! This company clearly has no morals and knew it could not fulfil its orders but continued to take orders and ruin Christmas for many people anyway. Times are hard enough at the moment without companies like this preying on people!
Very pleased
I ordered a number of products from BoroughBox as Christmas presents, to be delivered to different addresses. All arrived in plenty of time for Christmas and the recipients were delighted with them. Would definitely use again despite the fact that there have clearly been some problems with delivery in the run up to Christmas.

I placed an order on 11/12/20 for a beer snacks hamper which has not arrived. My attempts at contact with the company were ignored until I contacted PayPal, then I got a reply within minutes, however the reply was a tracking number for yodel but when you track it it says “your parcel will be with us soon”! It has been saying this since 21/12/20. I have now opened a case with PayPal requesting my money back as I find this company untrustworthy.
Christmas ruined
Ordered two hampers on the 7th December with Express next day delivery. Well it's now 27th December and still no sign of them! Useless, that's two people who didn't get their presents this year!

I Placed an order on the 9th December as a gift, thinking it was plenty of time to get the hamper before Christmas, this was clearly stated on their website before I placed my order, unfortunately the still hamper has still not arrived its now after Christmas!, I am extremely disappointed with the lack of service - I wanted to shop more independently to show support but this company has failed to deliver and yet took my money very promptly .... terrible!.... avoid this company save yourself the disappointment and money!
Dreadful customer Service
Like others here, I ordered 2 hampers as gifts for Christmas delivery in good time before the cut off. Neither have been received by their recipients. I received notification that one might not be delivered in time ( inexcusable) but not the other so I assumed that had been but no. Appalling customer service
