Deadful service

So I am not alone. I ordered a hamper for my son and his wife on 13th December, and it has yet to be delivered. A week or more ago the website said "Order complete" but the Yodel site still says the package has yet to reach them. Emails are answered with an automated response full of platitudes, and nothing more; telephone calls are equally unanswered. The whole business is a shambles and I regret having put my business their way. If the delivery is not made very soon I intend to take the necessary action to recover my money.

Unable to fulfil orders - steer clear

I ordered several hampers from BoroughBox on 13th of December with the promise on their website that they would arrive before Christmas. Boxes compiled by other companies (eg. Brindisa) arrived on time before Christmas. Ones put together by BoroughBox are yet to arrive almost a month later.

This is seriously disappointing. They are citing issues due to the pandemic, but let's be honest, they've been greedy/incompetent and accepted more offers than they can fulfil. They have sent me the tracking details for the parcel about a week ago, but the Yodel site says they've been waiting to receive the boxes since 24/12. I want to cancel my order now and get something else but that seems near impossible to do.

My Dad and Stepmum, for multiple reasons, have had a truly crappy year and crappy Christmas, and now it looks like I haven't been organised enough to send them gifts. This is a massive massive let down for so many people.

Shocking shocking shocking customer service - try to keep local and small businesses going. Ordered 10th Dec still not arrived to the tune of £337 . Same old b+ll**it excuses from poorly ran companies blaming COVID.

Boroughbox Failure.

Very disappointed. Ordered two hampers to one address before Christmas. one arrived, the other didnt. Cannot get any response from Boroughbox.

Rumour has it that they have gone bankrupt.

Terrible customer service and unreliable

I ordered a hamper for my sister to celebrate exchanging on a new house purchase. The website said I could expect the hamper to arrive in 2 days. Weeks passed and nothing, there's no way to contact them over the phone and no reply to emails for a long time. It was only when I left reviews on their facebook page that they reached out. I tried to change the delivery address to the new home. My sister then went on to move to her new house. Over a week later, the hamper was delivered to her old address! Then a few days later a hamper was sent to her new address, a much much smaller hamper with completely different products. I have since received a full refund, which is great. However, it took so much chasing and much disappointment. The whole point of celebrating the exchange on the house was lost. I would not recommend this company at all.

Absolutely Shocking .
I ordered 6 Hampers on 13 December and have still not received them. I have got some automated drivel from Boroughbox, but no human has either contacted me or tried to contact me. It is ridiculous that almost 4 weeks later, they cant answer the phone or emails. I will expect a full refund.

Received email 22/12 saying may not be able to deliver
Emailed 22/12 to cancel as del was Xmas gifts to a work address - no response!!
Checked 29/12 product out of stock reiterated cancellation sent email same day - no response!!!
WFH - yes most of us are but we are making responses to customers as we realise how important communication is!
I gave them the benefit of the doubt and waited on confirmation of cancellation!

Just had comms from yodel saying a parcel is being delivered to work address - presumably this is a delivery of out of season tat! Which was cancelled!
Reminder to self after disappointing experience and lack of customer service I will take my custom elsewhere, like farmison who offered a superlative service and quality

Appalling customer service

Absolutely appalling. Ordered hamper as a Christmas gift before the cut off (and payment taken immediately) and it has still not arrived. Parcelforce shipping ticket raised by Boroughbox but package never prepared or shipped - incredibly deceitful. Zero response to my emails and they won’t pick up the phone. Extremely disappointed and frustrated and suspect that hamper will never arrive. Avoid.

Rude and unhelpful with dreadful…

Rude and unhelpful with dreadful service.

Ordered a box early December. Still waiting for it to turn up. Ordered with a another company on the 23rd December and it turned up on the 24th.

Everyone makes mistakes and has delays but better companies communicate and let people know what's happening instead of burying their head in the sand.

Late & Unpleasant products to celebrate the end of an unpleasant year.

BoroughBox ordered for us on 12 December 2020 as a Christmas present, finally delivered 27 December 2020.
Not only late delivery but contents sampled on New Year’s Eve were all awful:

Pure Prosecco. Unpleasant, off-dry despite brut label, and lacking in fizz. Most got tipped away. An unpleasant end to an unpleasant year.

Pili Nuts. Weird. 28g packet mostly taken up with 2x silica crystal packets. We usually find Taste Awards a good indicator of quality but not so with this product.

Mr Filberts Chilli & Lime Peanuts. Unpleasantly strong lime and chilli flavours. Avoid.

Slow

This website does have variety of goods to choose from. However, I’ve only got notified that some stuff were out of stock after two weeks. I’ve also sent a enquiry, haven’t got any replies for a week now. Goods haven’t been delivered for more than two weeks as well.

Boroughbox hamper RIP

Ordered Christmas hamper for my 105 year old father on Dec12th. He still lived at home, but was taken into hospital on Dec 19th. I repeatedly messaged Boroughbox to rearrange delivery to my brother who lived nearby, impossible to talk to anyone. Phone calls, emails no response. My dad passed away on Monday Dec28th in hospital, never got his hamper, it was found on his doorstep when my brother went to clear the house yesterday. It’s going to charity. Andy Lawson I hope you read this and learn that people need to be heard when it really matters.

So disappointed with the service

I ordered a hamper for my parents on 7 December and it hasn’t arrived still. I was sent a ParcelForce tracking email on 22 December which has not updated since. No updates and no response to emails sent. Really disappointed as clearly from other reviews I am not the only one and the company were happy to take the money knowing there was no chance of fulfilling the order. They even sent an email on 16 December to reassure me that everything was being done to make sure all orders would be going out on time, and they must have known at that point it wasn’t going to happen....This year of all years it was so important to get my gift to my parents. I have requested a refund, waiting to hear back.

UPDATE 4 JAN - no change in order status and no response to any of my emails. I will soon have no choice but to contact Trading Standards.
