The Book Guild are consummate professionals with a human touch. My name is Fran Raya and the sixth book in my thriller series will be published at the end of July 2023. I have already submitted yet another manuscript in the last week, because quite frankly I would not wish to go anywhere else. They provide support, encouragement and advice with invaluable copy editing and everything imperative to do with book publishing. Their materials are top quality and the cover designs very eye-catching. I can phone or email at any time within the process and they are always cooperative and eager to please. I would be in the literary wilderness without them because it's a minefield. I have worked in partnership with The Book Guild to publish three novels and recommend them to new authors.
Their production and marketing teams are highly professional and always helpful, and I’ve enjoyed working with their designer to come up with great covers.
Before approaching TBG, I bought two of their titles so I could handle actual books. It was important to me their paperbacks were good quality (check!) and I read the content to satisfy myself they were proofread. (Check!)
If I would like anything extra it would be that some form of marketing continued beyond the initial 3-month period as part of the initial package.

I was terrified of trying to self publish; I simply didn’t have time to learn how to do it. The Book Guild took all the tedium out of the journey, leaving me all the fun things to make decisions about, such as cover, bookmark designs, a pull-up banner for author talks and so on. I wouldn’t be where I am today without them and the relatively small outlay I’ve invested in my hobby is bringing me constant delight, confidence in my writing, and a book that has already been read across many countries!
