Lack of communication - no service for fee paid
I have never received any replies to my emails and therefor had to contact the yachting company directly. My deposit of your fee is still in your account and I would like to get it refunded due to the absence of any service experienced from your company in the past weeks.

I’ve been trying to contact Boatbureau…
I’ve been trying to contact Boatbureau for several days now. Nobody is replying either to my emails or via the Boatbureau website. Telephoning just puts me on hold and nobody ever comes to talk. I have a little bit of credit with them from a pre-Covid booking which I’d like to use on a new booking.

Dream Holiday
I was in Phuket, when my booked charter fell through. My dream holiday was turning into a disaster. I needed to find another chartered yacht quickly...
Valeria from boat bureau went above and beyond to organise a new charter sailing trip. They are highly professional, always available via email/telephone and found me a great deal on a very luxurious yacht.
I can't recommend the Boat Bureau highly enough!

An absolutely fantastic experience start to finish!
It is the third year we are booking our bare boat charter through Boat Bureau. Last year COVID, so no booking. Two years before and this year as well.
The representative that helped us find the charter boats (two boats for 4 families) went beyond and above to find the right boats, at a good price, with all facilities included and in a timely manner. I need to tell you that we started quite late after most of the travel restrictions where removed, so anybody was trying to find a perfect holiday. We too, but we did, thanks to Ekaterina. Always answering the emails in a timely manner, ready to find new options. Fantastic job. I'm sure if all employees, including ourselves would be as dedicated to providing the service we are meant to provide, this would be a much better world to live in. Do I need to mention that I actually tried this year to see what the competition has to offer? By the time this so called competition managed to answer our web chats and emails, because " sorry it was very busy " excuses, we already had the boats that matched our needs from BB?
I've seen different reviews on the internet throughout my life about many businesses and products or services. When you judge a particular service bare in mind that you review that service. BB does not own the boats or operates them. They provide the service of connecting the "providers" of these boats, with the charterers (us in this case) of these boats.
This time as before they did the best to inform us on the condition of the boats, the availability of different extras, quality of specific items, etc., but in the end is the boats owners who provide pictures, information, and all the details.
Always a pleasure to charter through Boat Bureau, a fantastic experience, and for as long as I don't own my boat, chances are we are going to book our boats through Boat Bureau. Highly recommend to anyone interested in chartering a boat. Great service and great value!

COVID-19 Policies and General contract condition unreliable
I Booked in feb-19 a Boat in Sardinia for the next august (peak period) through BoatBureau. I made Advance payment via money trasfer to Enix Tachnologies SA (Spanish company) accepting Boat Bureau general Terms and Conditions) and without knowing the name and terms and conditions of the charter company.
Received Voucher from the Charter company they selected (Boomerang Charter in Olbia ).
Before the second instalment (1 month and an half before) I had to cancel the reservation due to consequences of Covid -19.
For this I received 2 separate vouchers (one from Boa Bureau and one from Boomerang possibly based on their fee splitting i assume). I asked kindly to have one only voucher that i could spend eventually elsewere from BoatBureau, but they said it was impossible. Boomerang in any case has rented the boat for that week to other people but still kept my money (so they cashed in twice !!!)
At the End I accepted this as my hopes where for a solution of the Covid 19 situation to use in summer 2021.
I then re-booked the same boat this january hoping for a free summer.
But at this stage vaccination are going slowly and I’m travelling with 4 kids that will be not vactineted and will need to geta a testa 2 days prior to departure.
If one of them is found positive to covid 19 I will have out all boat costs and travelling (airplane) costs.
In my opinion this is too much of a risk so I asked again to have frmo Enix technologies:
• Refund according to apply clause 8.1 of their tems and conditions:
8. Right of Withdrawal
8.1. In the event of cancellation of the charter/contract by the client, BoatBureau will apply a cancellation fee equal to 20% of the price of the boat.
Or, has I immagine the cash issue they may have in this moment:
• to have a 100% voucher from Boat bureau to eventually spend elsewhere
No chances.
They are not even compliant to the European Law translated into the Italian law dated 17th July 2020 n. 77, that states that if you are unable to use voucher you are entitled to a full refund after 18 months.
This is my experience.
Both boat bureau and the charter are keeping money without delivering the service.
Beside this being unlegal is not the best way to retain customers.

Please receive our apologies for all the inconveniences you have experienced. Our commercial team did their best in order to reach the right settlement with all the parties involved. We totally understand your arguments and we are sorry we could not meet your expectations.
As an agency, we make every effort to find solutions for our clients, provided they comply with the boat owner’s terms and conditions. Us, as brokers do not hold the money of the boat charters of our clients, only the corresponding part for our service, a commission we are given for such collaboration.
We do value you as a customer and especially as a repetitive one, which is why we bent over backwards with your case; unfortunately, as mentioned, we are required to adhere to the boat provider’s stipulations. All our operations and solutions to your incident have been handled in accordance with the law and regulations that correspond.
Our relationship with our customers is a top priority for us, therefore we would like to address some of the topics you have mentioned:
- The boat owner stated that a credit note could only be issued if there were Covid-19 restrictions, and it could only be used once. As you had a 2020 credit note due to the coronavirus regulations, and you used this in 2021, the above requirements were not met when you requested to cancel the new booking and exchange it for another credit note.
- Credit notes are issued by both companies, the boat provider and us, or one of them depending on the boat owner policies, date of the charter, date of the cancellation, procedures, and so on. So when issued a credit note from the boat provider it has to be used with the same boat provider company.
- As a measure to face the pandemic situation, the boat owners and us, agreed to provide credit notes for the corresponding price of the charter, in order to guarantee the client the recovery of the full amount paid. We understand that it is an inconvenience having 2 credit notes, but the boat companies do not return the money to us, so in the end, we can only return our part.
- Since no agreement was reached with the boat owner, we arranged a commercial courtesy for an extra discount on your future charters until the full price of your charter was met, which you declined.
As a company we have established high service level agreements goals and therefore strive to get the best for our customers. For this reason we would really like to convey to you that our unique purpose was to help you have a fantastic charter, present all possible options so as not to lose the money advanced, and of course, make the process of all of it as smooth as possible.
Covid-19 was an event no one was prepared for, both us and the boat owner companies did try to find the best arrangements to help our clients in this uncertain situation.
Even though this experience between the parties has been a challenging one, we still believe in our ability and objective to deliver high-quality support and assistance.
We keep working on your upcoming charter in Sardinia, to ensure you and your crew a fantastic sailing experience!

There is only one problem, is impossible to phone directly with Boat Bureau. all communications are with e-mail. Some time is necessary to speak with my agent. As for the service, everything is perfect.
