I had to contact customer services about an item purchased which had become faulty. I had unfortunately lost my receipt. I was amazed at the speedy response from Lisa advising what was needed from me and I how fast my receipt was emailed to me.

Would Give No Stars If I Could !

Absolutely Disgusted With B&M Castle Vale. I went in about 9.30pm last night buy cat food. One of the items I purchased was the large box of 40 pack of sheba £14:99. The receipt clearly shows I paid at 9:44pm as they shut at 10:00pm. But when I got home I noticed i had picked up the sheba in sauce by mistake instead of in jelly as I'm not very well. Obviously the B&M was shut by the time I got home & noticed. As I'm not in the best of health & have trouble walking. I asked my sister to take them back for me today & get the jelly instead. Or a refund if they didn't have jelly. They know myself & my sister in there & we spend loads on different things from there & have been using it for many years. But when my sister went in there today to exchange the cat food. They totally refused to exchange or refund for the cat food.

The item - box hadn't been opened whatsoever & had been left in the B&M carrier it was put in. They stated we could of injected it with something or tampered with the cat food inside, which is an outrageous accusation & the worst excuse we've ever heard for a shop to make, especially as my sister & myself are regulars in there as already stated.

We've purchased cat food by mistake previously, on the odd occasion from many different stores in the past, Sainsburys, Tesco's etc just to name a couple. None have never had any issues & have been happy to exchange Obviously as long as the box hasn't been opened. I'm absolutely shocked & disgusted at B&M's conduct & accusations that we could of injected the cat food with something or tampered with it when it hasn't been opened & we're regulars in there. Not only that but my cats do not like this Sheba in sauce & will not eat it at all & I just can't afford to right off or loose £14.99 on cat food that won't get used.

They will never get any of my or my sister's custom again & i highly recommended you buy your pet food from elsewhere as this is absolutely ridiculous & a total scam !

Like I say. Every other store is happy to exchange Pet Food As Long As The Box has not been opened ! I can fully understand this policy with human food. But with pet food in a box? It's ridiculous & a total scam ! I will now be forwarding a full complaint email to the b&m CEO.
All the money I've spent in b&m over the years & you haven't even got the decency to exchange a box of unopened cat food? No wonder B&M have got such a lot of bad reviews on Trustpilot with this kind of attitude & ridiculous policy !

I had to call customer services as I purchased two photo frames but when I got home, I realised they were the wrong size. Unfortunately, when asked if I wanted my receipt I said no! So I rang Customer Services and spoke to a lovely lady who I sadly only know as Sue. She was amazingly helpful and emailed me a digital receipt of my purchase so I went back to the store to return the frames, only to be thanked by the cashier for putting in the work to obtain the receipt as it saved him a lot of time also. All all I could not have had a better experience from Customer Services and customer facing staff. Well done B&M!

DRY DEAD PLANTS

DRY DEAD PLANTS! I sent an email last year to inform management/staff of dead plants blowing around outside the shop because they are not watered at all! It is such a waste and so sad to see. This year is the same. I mentioned it to a girl on the till, she said that theyre watered every day! No way! She also said that theyre short staffed, rubbish!This is not just the Newark Nottingham store, ive seen it at other stores too.
* I also agree with a coment on here about two different prices. One price on the shop floor, bring the item to the till, its gone up!? Twice this has happened to us. I know that this is a bargain shop but come on!

I have had a very good experience with bnm customer service this morning. Immediate response. I lost my receipt for my shoe rack and it’s faulty I emailed for advise and received my receipt via email and told what to do next. Gemma at Kings Lynn - Outstanding

I am writing today to praise and compliment one of your stores and especially the team , and specifically Gemma , who went above and beyond .
My example is finding some mugs that perfectly match our vintage crockery at the local village hall and then wanting to buy 100 to add to the collection .
My local store is Boston , where I picked up the 1st lot , when I asked if could get any more , I was greeted with no . I did ask if I could leave my name and number in case any more stock came in , which I did .
I then was in the Kings Lynn area last Thursday and called in to check if could buy any more , which I did and after speaking with the very helpful Gemma , who whilst busy restocking shelves went and checked if any additional stock on site and then spoke with another colleague to check if could order in .
I received a lovely call yesterday morning to say the stock was in which completed our total . I collected today and was greeted with a friendly and helpful manner by all team members and especially by Gemma .
For customer satisfaction and service , this has been 100% and Gemma is a true asset to your business.
If you have such schemes as employee of the week/ month or even year . Gemma should be nominated .

I purchased paint from your Auchenlea…

I purchased paint from your Auchenlea store in the Glasgow Fort, Unfortunately I picked up the wrong shade as it was placed in the area of the shade of paint I required. I didn't take a receipt as I was using the paint straight away. Upon discovering the error I returned to the store to Exchange the paint, I was then informed by the cashier I couldn't exchange the paint as I didn't have a receipt. I showed her the charge from my mobile banking but was told that could be anything which I found quite insulting as it was insinuated I was somehow making it up. I asked to speak to a manager but ended up with a supervisor who was so unhelpful and continued to roll her eyes when I stated that I only wanted an exchange. She kept saying I would have to phone customer services and if I wanted to speak to a manager I would have to come back the next day.
To my astonishment in front of other customers when I expressed my unhappiness at this she just walked away from me and I was then forced to ask the cashier to give me customer services phone number. When I called customer services the woman on the phone could not have done more to help me out and sent me a duplicate receipt. Eventually someone was helping and was professional in dealing with my request to exchange the paint. she was a credit to your company. I will never shop in this store again as I was disgusted in the way I was treated.

No return policy not communicated

Visited the Oswestry store last week and was sold a bottle of gas and was never told it couldn’t be returned . Took back straight away as when I got home realised my bbq was 27mm compatible not 21mm. The staff wouldn’t swap so said they could sell me a 21mm regulator. It is clearly a used regulator in poor condition. You need to train staff on the sale of gas!
