Stay at Waterlooville.
We had made a last minute booking for 3 families and the 5 bed house being available saved our holidays. The game room kept the kids entertained and the large kitchen/living area helped us to spend quality time socialising. The bedrooms and bathrooms were spacious, large windows meant there was natural light and fresh air. The large garden with climbing frames, swings, tree house also helped the kids to enjoy themselves. The bedding was clean and comfortable and the fans in the room helped us at night. The instructions and response from Kate was precise and timely and the whole stay was enjoyable
Overall the stay was really liked the stay and the living area/ kitchen really made our stay special.

Last minute booking after our original…
Last minute booking after our original host cancelled our previous property elsewhere. This company were really accommodating and so helpful.. they let us have early arrival too seeing as we had a nightmare morning.
Clean spacious house fully accommodated all 6 of us and the separate bathrooms for all 3 couples was a game changer.
The only negatives were the double bed wasn’t the best in the top bedroom.. the mattress or bed was slightly dipping on the one side so you couldn’t sleep straight without rolling into your side and the WiFi didn’t work in the property but it didn’t stop us from having a great weekend there and we would book this property again for the price we paid.
Just over 2 miles from
Victorious Festival.. nerve a rouble getting taxi’s there and we walked back the one night when it finished as we couldn’t get Ubers and it wasn’t that far.

The apartment is very well presented.
The apartment is centrally located. Big and well presented. Communication was very good and access easy enough. I would definitely use again. There are shops and bars very close by. There are also many TV channels to choose from.
The only negative is by design of the building the windows don’t open but there are fans provided.

Very comfortable and well-equipped…
Very comfortable and well-equipped flat. Great location, close to the sea and shops. Lovely bakery selling the best almond croissant a few minutes walk away! If we come back to Portsmouth we will definitely rebook. Also communications with Blue Puffin Stays was very efficient and check in/out instructions very clear. Many thanks.

I am a returning customer staying in various Blue Puffin Properties when I am visiting from Spain. I love the decor of the properties, the little finishing touches which make a big difference. The comfortable beds and quality bedding is a must have for me! I have always found the properties to be well equipped and extremely clean. Delightful stay with family of 3…
Delightful stay with family of 3 generations in Southsea. Great location close to shops and coffee. A short bus ride to the docks for museum or ferry to the Isle of Wight, or Southsea beach. The house is well equipped comfortable beds and lovely yard with the outdoor seating I highly recommend Maxwell Road if you are visiting the area.

Lovely stay in a lovely cottage!
We had a lovely stay in Tide Cottage to celebrate our daughter’s graduation. The cottage is beautifully styled, and the amazing team at Blue Puffin were on hand for the whole stay and in contact by email to check if we needed anything. The stairs are very steep, so definitely not for those who struggle in that regard. Also the downstairs is also a little dark, so we suggested a lamp in the lounge would make it cosier than having the main light. If the owners don’t get round to providing one, you could do what we did and borrow one from the bedroom. The location is excellent - in the heart of Southsea, a stone’s throw from Waitrose and plenty of good restaurants on the doorstep. Thank you Tide Cottage and Blue Puffin.

Lovely stay, really helpful hosts! Stone throw from port Solent! Only down side is road noise but that can’t be helped! Customer service is outstanding! And the property is clean and tidy!

Nicely Presented Home, Disappointing Experience
The house looked exactly like the pictures when we arrived – beautifully decorated, clean, and with some items still in their packaging, which showed it was a new listing. However, the house itself isn’t new and does need a bit of TLC.
From the start, there were a few issues. One blind in the bedroom was missing, and the other didn’t properly cover the window, meaning I could see the house across the street from my pillow. Blue Puffin sent someone quickly to fix one blind the next day, but the other was left as-is, and their response didn’t feel very understanding.
When a neighboring alarm from an empty house kept going off, they replied quickly, which we appreciated, even though we didn't expect them to be able to help directly.
We had ongoing problems with the front door not closing properly. Despite sending a video showing the issue, we were told we were using the door incorrectly. Eventually, the handle snapped, and only then was it fixed after a handyman confirmed it wasn’t aligned properly.
We also mentioned the poor quality of the beds, as none of us slept well and I needed medicine for my back pain. The reply was that the mattresses were new and high quality, and that no other guests had ever complained. That may be true, but unfortunately, we found them very uncomfortable.
A few extra touches in the house would also help, like towel hooks and oven mitts in the kitchen.
Overall, while the property looked great and responses were quick, our concerns often felt brushed off rather than listened to. Because of that, and the uncomfortable beds that are apparently in all their properties, we wouldn’t book with this host again, but it may suit guests who aren’t as sensitive to these issues.

Kim and her group stayed with us at one of our properties. Whilst they communicated their concerns throughout the stay, we did find it challenging to meet their expectations despite addressing every issue raised as promptly and thoroughly as possible.
Several minor issues were reported, and although we responded quickly and in good faith, our efforts were often met with ongoing dissatisfaction. Midway through their stay, the group expressed dissatisfaction with the beds. We were surprised by this feedback, as the beds are relatively new and have consistently been well received by all previous guests. We appreciate that sleep comfort is a very personal, subjective matter and understand that preferences can vary widely. However, this concern was not raised until partway through their visit, which limited our ability to offer practical support or adjustments during their time at the property.
The property was left in good condition upon departure, and communication was polite, but other hosts may wish to note that this guest had difficulty being satisfied with standard resolution steps, even when actioned swiftly and respectfully.
We always strive to provide a professional and positive experience for all guests and appreciate honest communication, but clarity and transparency from guests at booking is equally important to ensure a smooth stay for all parties.
Great service & experience in Southsea
Had a great experience staying in a property in Portsmouth with Blue Puffin, property was very clean, beautifully designed, thoughtful touches & coffee pods were welcomed. The team were very friendly and helpful providing local recommendations and answer questions over the phone, in particular Lee! Would happily recommend and will be sure to book direct next time in the area, thanks again.

Atrocious customer service
My stay was cancelled with no reason provided upon cancellation - the absolute bare minimum of common courtesy in customer service. Was spoken to quite rudely by the director, Kate, and was subsequently blocked after expressing my displeasure with their lack of customer service, rather than actually responding to me - a strange way to interact with customers. Never had an experience like it!

Thank you for sharing your thoughts, Alex. Whilst we regret that the situation has led to frustration on your side, it’s important to clarify a few key points.
This booking was cancelled after numerous unreasonable demands were made — including requests for monetary compensation and services not included in the original reservation. When we respectfully declined, the tone of the communication became increasingly aggressive. At that point, and in line with Airbnb policy, we made the decision to cancel the booking to protect the wellbeing of our team and ensure a safe and professional environment for all involved.
We did communicate the reason for the cancellation via Airbnb. Throughout the communication we had with Zoe, we remained polite, despite being met with hostility. Blocking further messages was not a decision taken lightly, but it became necessary once the communication crossed a line into personal and persistent harassment.
We treat all guests fairly and professionally, and we do not cancel bookings without due cause as it will affect our 'Super Host' status on Airbnb. It’s unfortunate that the situation has resulted in this kind of review, particularly as neither you nor Zoe stayed at the property.
Despite this, we will remain committed to offering respectful and well-managed stays for all our future guests. And always thankful to many guests who have shared genuine, positive experiences that reflect the true standard of our service and what we truly offer. - The Blue Puffin Stays Team

We take all feedback seriously, but in this case, we feel it’s important to provide context due to the nature of the multiple reviews being left across various platforms.
This reservation was cancelled after repeated demands for discounts, financial rewards, and services that were not included in the booking. When we politely declined these requests, we were met with increasingly hostile and harassing communication. Our team felt pressured and uncomfortable, and for the wellbeing of our staff and guests, we chose to cancel the reservation in line with Airbnb policies.
It is disappointing, though not unexpected, that this has resulted in multiple negative and misleading reviews being posted online. We welcome fair and honest feedback from our guests, but targeted and slanderous reviews across several platforms do not reflect the experience of staying at our property, as the individual in question never actually stayed with us.

Stayed in the spacious 3-BR Manor in…
Stayed in the spacious 3-BR Manor in Drayton. It was beautifully decorated, cosy beds and well equipped. We used the back garden lots. A butcher and small co-op right around the corner, with bus stops close by. Walking distance to Cosham shops (15 min). A great location, we found it quiet and very comfortable . And always parking right out front on the street. When communicatong with the Blue Puffin Stays team about any issues or questions, they answered promptly and had repairs done immediately. A great company to deal with. They ensure your stay is comfortable. We will be back!! Thank you
