I had a very disappointing experience…
I had a very disappointing experience at the BLS Brampton center while applying for my child’s OCI card.
Despite providing all required documents — including the child’s birth certificate with both parents’ names, a signed affidavit, and a no objection letter from both parents — my application was refused on the basis that a marriage certificate is mandatory.
This is incorrect and misleading. As per OCI guidelines, a marriage certificate is not required when both parents’ names are on the birth certificate and proper consent has been provided. I clearly explained that we are not married and therefore cannot produce a marriage certificate, yet the staff insisted the application could not proceed.
This shows a lack of proper knowledge and inconsistency in handling applications. It caused unnecessary stress, delay, and inconvenience.
I strongly request that staff be better trained and that clear, accurate information is provided to applicants. No one should be denied service based on incorrect requirements.
Very unprofessional experience.

I had the worst experience there!!!
The staff inside just misguide the people even the manager has no clue that what she is talking about. I went there with appointment since I have a baby but she took one minute to send us back by picking one minor error. We said we can correct now and come back……she said but upon coming back she literally refused to accept that she allowed to come back.. we went to that place because of that lady only. Third time also one of their staff member was doing the same but then somehow they did it.
Their only intention is gathering money by forcing people to book premium lounge services….they charge $100 and do everything in one shot….
Really disappointed with their system.

Worst experience ever—repeated delays, poor communication, and unnecessary complications
I had an extremely frustrating experience with BLS while applying for my PCC. My application was returned multiple times for reasons that were either unclear or later identified as errors on their end. In one instance, I was informed that my signature was not properly aligned, but after escalation, it was acknowledged that this issue was caused by their own agent. Despite repeated attempts to resolve the issue, customer service was unhelpful, and calls were frequently disconnected. Additionally, there appears to be limited access to regular appointments, with pressure to opt for paid premium appointments, which adds to the overall inconvenience and cost. Based on my experience, I strongly encourage others facing similar issues to formally report their concerns through the Ontario Consumer Protection website so that these practices can be reviewed and addressed.There is a clear need for improved transparency, accountability, and customer service. I hope appropriate action is taken to ensure a fair and reliable process for all applicants.

Complaint Regarding Staff Conduct at the Visa Application Centre
There was a long queue outside and after I came back from buying the cafe, it’s 3 minutes earlier than the appointment time. I went straight in and kindly asked if I can get the service number. I was treated badly - the staff commanded me to go out and wait for her instruction. I was shocked by her rude attitude. I stepped out and she called the next number right away. It almost felt like she just wanted to show her authority.
After I get seated with my service number, there was another member of staff coming to remind me to sign the checklist and write the delivery address. I wanted to double check that the checklist I printed from the website worked or not. It seems like she didn’t understand me but what worse is that I was told in a very impatient manner that I must provide the newly issued checklist. Throughout the conversation, there were no basic polite expressions, and the staff member’s attitude towards me felt dismissive, arrogant, and unnecessarily rude.
As a customer attending the visa centre for a service, I found this experience extremely disappointing. Professional staff dealing with the public should demonstrate at least a basic level of patience, courtesy, and respect.
Unfortunately, the conduct I experienced today reflected a very poor standard of customer service. The lack of professionalism and basic politeness from the staff member was concerning.
I strongly recommend that additional staff training be implemented to improve communication with customers and to ensure that visitors are treated with the courtesy and respect they deserve.
I hope this matter can be taken seriously and that steps will be taken to improve the overall standard of service.
