Wait times when its fully staffed
Why, at their busiest time ( in the morning) is the employee parking lot full but 2 people are poking customers and 2 are checking in...this makes zero sense
Had a scheduled appointment this past…
Had a scheduled appointment this past Sunday(Father's Day) at the Morrow, GA location. I would've been a first time donor, but I stormed out after the staff member at the front desk informed me ,I wouldn't receive a one time pay of the $700. My complaint is , the staff member that was checking me in, couldn't answer the question in regards to payment, she had to go in the back and speak with management and was very unsure. So would I have been in the chair, getting blood drawn and find out the I was gonna receive $90-$135. I would've snapped . So of course, I stormed out. I will take some accountability for not throughley reading the website.

This location CANNOT GET IT RIGHT!!
This location CANNOT GET IT RIGHT!!! I came in twice today and one associate says one thing, another associate says another. I drove twice this morning from Galveston for 2 appointments that were setup online and now they tell me I have to come back tomorrow due to the questions in the system. Why couldn't I have been told the 1st time I was here! This place is ridiculous. Don't come this this location in Webster, TX cause you'll just get the runarounds.
They suck!
They suck!! Not clinic I went to, the people who run their site!!! I went my 1st appointment back in May. When call to setup appointment they didn't tell me I needed to get a clearance from my doctor!!! The nurse told me the doctor would be in that Friday or Saturday should clear me to donate. There should be a message in my portal. It never showed up. I call up 929 number like 4 times, they don't have a clue what they are doing. All they give me the run around, they can't explain why I there aren't any messages in my portal!!! If you are under 65 find another company to donate too!! Unfortunately if you are from NYC they are only one that will take you if you are over 65!!! There is no way to contact the clinic to find out what's going,so I have take 3 hour around trip to the clinic to find!!! They totally suck!!!
Review for Biolife Plasma in Rochester, NY
Hello!
I wanted to write a review for this specific Biolife location. I was a first time donor at the Biolife Plasma Services in Rochester NY ( 52 Spencerport Rd ).
This is all new for me. I’ve donated blood prior at other places but I’ve never donated plasma before. Either way. It was a little rambunctious when coming in but that was due to it being mid-day and it being the first day of the work week. The staff were so nice and patient with me and everyone else. I talked to multiple of the workers and made me feel comfortable while donating!
It did take about 4 hours to get completely done but that’s because I’m a new donor. The main reason why I wanted to write this review was because of the Nurse Practitioner, Dinell! She was absolutely amazing. She made me feel so welcomed. Not only did she give me all the information that I needed it but she was patient and extremely helpful. She cares about the donors and her work. Talking to her felt so refreshing. I felt seen. Thank you again Dinell for making the first time experience great! Will be back again to donate more! We need more people like her in this profession!
Under-staffed plan on 2 three-hour…
Under-staffed plan on 2 three-hour shifts for a donation
Donner Compensation is terrible, not worth the time after the first month. Octapharma or CSI pays much more.
They are butchers at Biolife on Harlem
They are butchers at Biolife on Harlem. Some dude name Matthew put a Huge knot in my right arm. He was overly aggressive when sticking me with the needle. Soon after it caused a huge knot to form. Not only that the stick was horrible and every spectrum. He should not be allow to stick due to lack of training.
The techs are grossly under trained
The techs are grossly under trained. I went in to donate and the tech tried to puncture my tendon instead of my vein which caused quite a bit of discomfort. Since blood draws is what they do on a daily basis they need to be trained better. I was a radiologic technologist for 27 years and regularly started IVs. I was very good at it and know the difference between a good and a bad poke.
Bad blood draw, painful and manager lied about money
The person could not draw my blood and it was extremely painful. The manager could not either and wanted to try my other arm but before I decided she stated I would get $20 if I wouldn't and I wS only getting $45 for the day so I took the $20 only to find our later it was o lt $10. The manager said they must have changed the pricing. My arm was still bleeding four hours later and it should have been done and normal after two. Wonder what damage wad done poking me. Manager shouldn't be one if you have to lie to customers or don't know policy.
BioLife Beware
I am filing this complaint against BioLife Plasma Services after two extremely negative and unsafe experiences at one of their donation centers.
On my first visit, I was kept waiting for four full hours before being taken back. After the donation process was finished, staff left me connected to the machine for an additional 30 minutes with no explanation or assistance.
My second visit was worse. The staff member inserted the needle far too deeply, causing a severe and painful bruise that lasted for days. The machine then stopped three separate times and had to be reset multiple times. After the procedure was finally complete, I was again left stuck on the machine for another 30 minutes while staff stood around talking about their weekends and fumbling with equipment, showing no concern for my situation. The center appears severely understaffed, and the employees present seemed untrained and completely uninterested in donor comfort or safety.
After these experiences, I received a promotional offer for $150. When I attempted to redeem it, I was told I was ineligible. It is clear that BioLife sends out these unclaimable offers regularly to lure donors back in, which feels deceptive and misleading.
These incidents have left me concerned about the safety and quality of care at BioLife. Improper needle insertion, repeated equipment failures, long periods of being left unattended while connected to machines, and untrained staff are serious issues. I strongly advise anyone considering plasma donation to go elsewhere.
Meatmarket, Overbooked, Long Waits
Meatmarket with a ridiculous process to donate. Make an appointment you have to be there 10 minutes prior, check in but then have to sit and complete a computer screening which can then push you past your scheduled appointment time and they can be jerks and send you away. After you complete your nonsensical computer questionnaires, you have to stand in a long line to have your vitals taken and can be rejected at that point as well. The 1st time the Medical Assistant put the needle in too far and it messed up my arm. They tried to blame me, it took over a month to heal, all the while I couldn't donate again anywhere. They overbook and they know it. Just a meatmarket that cares very little about you although if you are lucky enough to make it through the process, you'll get $100 which should be a heck of a lot more considering how much they sell it to hospitals for.
Arrived for a scheduled appointment and was closed?
Scheduled an appointment through the app for 3 o’clock. Arrived at the location at 3 o’clock on the dot and was told by staff that they were closed. They did not care at all that I had an appointment and did not provide any explanation as to how I was able to get a verified appointment for a time when the location is closed.
Unsafe health practices, untrained staff
On May 2, 2026, I attended the BioLife Plasma location in Livonia, Michigan for a routine plasma donation visit. During the screening process, the employee responsible for obtaining my blood sample did not follow proper protocol. I observed that after cleaning my finger with alcohol, she immediately performed the fingerstick, then immediately collected the blood sample without allowing the alcohol to dry or wiping it away. This can compromise the accuracy of the test, and my hematocrit reading came back significantly low (30), which is inconsistent with my normal health, diet, hydration, and supplementation. I also observed that two donors ahead of me were deferred by this same person for low hematocrit, raising additional concerns about whether proper procedures are consistently followed. When I asked about the testing method and requested a retest, I was told it was not necessary, despite the potential for error. When I brought these concerns to the assistant manager, I was not provided with a satisfactory response. He stated he was the highest authority available at the location, did not offer an apology, and indicated there was little that could be done beyond reminding the employee to follow protocol in the future. He also advised me to submit a complaint through the website, while stating he would be the one receiving it so nothing further would be done anyway. I was not provided with alternative contact information for escalation despite requesting it. This experience raises concerns not only about testing accuracy, but also about adherence to proper health and safety protocols in an environment that handles blood and serves a high volume of donors. This is not the first time I have experienced this type of issue at this location, which makes the situation more concerning.
I would donate my plasma and time with…
I would donate my plasma and time with no compensation however, when I make an appointment to do so and there is a very long line (a wait of two hours) just to begin the process, I decided to leave.
DO NOT GO TO BIOPLASMA☠️
Do yourself a favor and go to any other Plasma center. My first few experiences were fine but the 4th While inserting needle they gave me hematoma and crossed to other arm and still couldn’t get it right so they count that as an appointment but don’t pay me. I make appointment next day they turn me away. I make appointment the following day finally Katie is the only reason I was able to donate. I make appointment 3 days later they turn me away because you can’t donate more than twice a week although I didn’t. Between the dirt and trash everywhere and the negative judge-mental atmosphere it’s not worth it. Especially I believe her name is “V” or “D” mixed girl with puffy hair that checks ppl in, she either doesn’t like White ppl or just hates her life! There is no management to speak of or to. I most definitely will not be back. If I could give zero stars I would. I do not appreciate any type of Racism. God Bless 🙏🏼
Bio life is trash
I have been trying to contact the Tallahassee Florida BioLife clinic for three weeks. Nobody will answer the phone. I called the Pensacola BioLife center and they can’t even answer a simple yes or no medical question a basic medical question I’m through. I’m done with BioLife. I used to donate to BioLife and they were the best but not anymore. I will never use them again.
Rude, unprofessional and condescending
I spent all morning making sure I gathered documents, ate well and hydrated. Then drove almost 45 minutes to Kennesaw, where I encountered ‘Mykala’ at the check-in desk. She scrutinized my Social Security card as if it weren’t real, (I am almost 60 and my mother allowed me to sign my card as a 4 year old), then when I was honest about the fact that I had just entered a Domestic Violence Shelter, but the address on my license was valid and my LEGAL address, where I receive mail, she was rude and condescending and rolled her eyes at me.
She brought two other colleagues to the desk, and they abruptly told me I was not eligible to donate. They further pushed the issue by asking me to divulge the address of the shelter. I responded that I could not do that for safety reasons and furthermore, it’s illegal to ask me that. They then asked if I was part of the ‘Safe at Home’ program. Again….not appropriate and illegal to ask me in front of everyone standing in line. Despite me having plenty of documentation to prove my LEGAL ADDRESS, I was turned away.
Women at the shelter are encouraged to donate plasma as a way to supplement our income while escaping our abusers and looking for employment. When I tried to explain this to them, I was curtly asked what the names of the women in the shelter were? Again, not appropriate and illegal to ask. When I refused to give them this information and stated that it was illegal for me to divulge those names, the lady that took over for ‘Mykayla’ was incredibly rude and said [verbatim], “That’s right, you tell them that if I find out who they are, I will terminate them from the program!”
For someone that is experiencing this set of circumstances, these three women managed to make a bad situation even worse. And in front of everyone.
I suppose I should have LIED. What a waste of what little resources I had. I also should have read these reviews. It appears as though this is standard practice for this location.
EDIT: On Saturday (April 5th, 2026, I received an email from BioLife telling me I ‘missed my appointment’, and please call to reschedule. I subsequently received two texts telling me that I missed my appointment and asking me to reschedule. Oh the irony!
Upon further investigation, they also have and extremely low rating on two other review sites, multiple BBB filings and a lawsuit that was filed in February of 2026. Do your research everyone! Steer clear of this company at all costs!
They know how to make appointments but…
They know how to make appointments but they don’t know how to keep your appointment.
Worst customer service ever. No professional service at all. Way too many customers and very few staff. I’m done
