As a runner in VCM you get one ticket…
As a runner in VCM you get one ticket free, but is not advertised online. I booked tickets without knowing that.

The action you mean, was a voucher from Big Bus in the VCM-booklet and it said: "Buy one, get one free".
We will think about that point and talk with the responsibles for the VCM, maybe we will find an online solution for next year.

Public Transport a better option
The blue and red buses were supposed to run approximately every 20 to 30 minutes. I stood on museum area for an hour waiting for a blue bus. When it arrived I couldn’t get on as it was full. As a result of this I never got to see the military museum. On other occasions there was standing room only. Making use of public transport was a much better option.

No air conditioning on the ground level
Staff and services in general were great.
There was only one issue in some of the buses ground level - no air-conditioning, without possibility to open windows for ventillation and it was really hot.

Touring Vienna was great on the Bus
Touring Vienna was great on the Bus. The narration was great and very informative. The ability to hop on and hop off was especially nice. The WiFi service was great because it allowed us to access the internet and calling without an international calling plan.

Bedingt zu empfehlen
Die Haltestellen waren schwer zu finden, da auf dem Plan keine genauen Straßennamen verzeichnet waren.
Wir hatten die Karten mit Schiffstour und wussten nicht genau wo wir hin mussten. Der Busfahrer konnte uns auch nicht behilflich sein.

I should have done this on my first day…
I should have done this on my first day in Vienna!! I did both the blue & red loop completely so I could get a sense of the city. The audio guide gave me a great history lesson, combined with beautiful music. The weather was lovely, so the open-air top level was perfect to enjoy it AND to take photos from a great perspective. It helped me to get oriented to the city and decide where I wanted to go back to. The hop-on / hop-off is an easy way to see sites in more detail. I travel frequently, and this is my first time on a tour - I am recommending it to my friends and family and will definitely do it again!

It wasn't easy to book the tour in the…
It wasn't easy to book the tour in the hotel as there was some confusion about the Vienna City card and the 3 day pass. Eventually we booked on my mobile phone but then didn't realise we needed the yellow tickets! Once we were settled it was fine and we enjoyed the information commentary and the convenience of the bus.

Die Touren sind informativ und…
Die Touren sind informativ und interessant. Die Sehenswürdigkeiten liegen gut erreichbar von den Haltestellen entfernt.
Grundproblem der Bustouren ist generell der Einrichtungsverkehr, sodass man mit öffentlichen Verkehrsmitteln schneller von A nach B und umgekehrt kommt. Für uns war das 2-Tagesticket in Wien ideal.
