I had M&S credit card for many years

I had M&S credit card for many years, I love to shop on line and pay with it. I have a direct debit and always pay monthly. I’m happy with this arrangement. So far so good

Hidden cost of a credit card 'freebie'

Sorry but why does M&S think its a good idea to pay £10 a month for a credit card in exchange for £120 in vouchers.
This is NOT explicit in your advertising, and only comes later in the small detail. On your website, it definitely is NOT highlighted. Folk think WOW, I'm getting all these lovely offers, yet they do NOT realise they are in fact paying for the vouchers themselves.
What a sly rip-off.

No wonder customers are leaving in their droves. Stop pulling the wool over your customers eyes. Shame on you meanies.

Don't want to be forced onto mobile app.

Uncertainty about having to use an app on a mobile phone. Might close my account if I can't manage my account in a safe environment at home. Unless M&S are going to give me a smart phone dedicated to that task.
People are putting too much confidence in the insecure tech world we are being forced to live in. I need reassurance. Suggested by M&S email to me.

What a sad strange Bank

What a sad strange Bank. Apply for a credit card, receive said credit card, receive pin number, receive a welcome pack, join the rewards scheme. Try to use the credit card, response sale declined. Contact alleged Bank, apparently for no apparent reason the card has been withdrawn. AVOID.

M&S Bank alienating older customers.

I don't want to download the app. My phone is full of useless apps. I am extremely unhappy to have to go back to queuing in my bank to pay my M&S credit card bill because they won't accept debit card payments online.

Embarrassingly bad

Awful, awful and then some more awful. The service has been contradictory and intentionally unhelpful from start to finish. Telephone advisors range from friendly and lying to ignorant and lying (at least there's some consistency there). Having paid everything off I am so happy to never have to deal with this circus again.

Please dont choose them

Please don't go with m n s as a credit card company. The inital 0% interest free gets you interested but it is a waste of time. Unfortunately, I used the cards to purchase tickets to travel to thailand in easter this year. Surprise surprise our flights got cancelled. Gulf air keep changing the refund date and m n s are no help what so ever in recovering the refund. Never in my life have I had such trouble. Stick with Amex or barclaycrad. No wonder m n s is in trouble.

Took out a credit card had issues with flight seats didn't help me with my claim took to section 75 still no help after waiting along time was not a happy customer and wouldn't recommend m and s for a credit card hard to deal with everything done online don't want to sort things out over the phone .

M&S service in decline

I contacted the helpline regarding a missing rewards statement, (I am old fashioned and still get them by post) it was a very lengthy process during which I was re-directed to the bank. The call handler didn't offer much information and it was only my suggestions of "Is there a minimum Rewards voucher value? Did I fail to earn this in the previous quarter?" £3 is the minimum which I didn't reach, Sept - Dec. She went on to send me an e-mail including £19 vouchers for an earlier quarter which wasn't relevant to my query, I thought this was so she could say she had resolved my concerns. No apology was offered for M&S poor communication, points carried forward from previous statement (normally included), would have enabled me to work it out.

How about your "service is unfortunately down" so far today 13/5/26 from 2:30pm until now 7:30pm on your app and continues down so no access to my account data data etc etc ?? This is the 3rd time this month the service has been "down" so...no service at all !!. Paul Ritchie.

I've had the card for a while now and…

I've had the card for a while now and easy to use, I was offered 12 month 0% balance transfer, and was easy to do.
Only thing I dont like is m&s have withdrawn being able to make a payment with my normal bank account, which was very easy to do.

Sorted out the balance transfer very quickly, but charge a little higher than some.

Very quick response and the balance from my other credit card arrived safely and quickly too. The interest rate was a little higher than some, but I felt confident in the process.
