The worse ripping off airline in the world. Rumour that they will go bankrupt,
well they should as once they have your money, you are not paying customers but victims of bullying and harassment.
So here I got intimidated for something that they don’t bother to show in writing but just making it up at the airport on my flight on Sun, 13 AugHanoi – London Bamboo AirwaysQH093
The woman who was in charge of check in in Hanoi was Nguyen Thi Hoang Anh, forced me to buy another bag in order to separate my luggage (one bag of 38 kg) into two bags, which was not mentioned in my ticket policy. I showed this to her, but she just said if I don’t do that I will be refused to flight and said I have to hurry as boarding time will be in 30’. She said that Bamboo airline policy is 32 kg per bag, and it is a violence of labours if staff have to transfer bag heavier than 32kg. I explained to her that I read my policy carefully and that what Bamboo agreed in writing in my ticket. I have been sick and it took me the whole day to pack so in order to find the keys and unpack my luggage and worried that I would be late for boarding…All of these made me incredibly stressed. I also proposed to carry the luggage myself to the airplane and asked her to show the policy to where they said luggage should be divided into two bags. If I knew it would well prepare in advance. I also asked to see her manager to which she said she was the only one in charge here. So either the customer had to face the intimidation of unpack and throwing away the 6 kg over according to her, but not in the ticket policy. I was exhausted in the middle of the night and with the stress of sitting in a 13,5 hours flight with things going wrong right from the start just because they wanted the extra service of selling bag and packing have some jobs and earning some extra corrupted commissions, rather than adhering to what they agreed in the ticket policy.
Just like the way dictator does, treating paying customers like nothing and threatening them. Well there are lots of good airline to choose from, including Vietnamairline so horrible airline like Bamboo that should not be existing. And if they want to be fair to some good staff then they should fire that horrible woman names Hoang Anh.
Poor customer service
Poor customer service, inflexible and unwilling to help out. Customer services are robotic and have 0 human touch. Avoid this airline at all costs! Pay a little more and get a better experience with virtually any other airline. At the end of the day, you get what you pay for!
horrendous company
poor flight experience, 14 hour flight with no food as they did not have any vegetarian food as requested via there customer service email, next no entertainment system functioning on this awful flight. would never recommend or use them ever, staff rude and not helpful at all. furthermore once back i contacted the airline, was accused of lieing as i did not have a image of the entertainment system not working and when given proof of the request of vegetarian option they denied having this.

My mother died an unexpected and sudden death before we could take our flights to our home country. I contacted the airline and they were extremely helpful and understanding. Even though we didn't have a insurance for the case that we weren't able to fly, the airline was open to refund the whole costs of my mother's tickets and only took a small fee for my sister's and mine. We were very relieved that our money was not wasted as we need it for the funeral. I am more than happy and satisfied with the costumer support of the airline. And they were also very friendly and empathatic. All you need is to contact them in English or Vietnamese (I used an translater and it worked perfectly).
Theft after check-in
On 6/16/23, we took a flight from Hanoi to Hue. Due to our early arrival at the airport, we were able to check in ahead of time. Upon our arrival in Hue later that evening, we discovered that one of our suitcases had lost approximately one-third of its contents. This included brand-new clothing, makeup, and facial cream that my daughters had purchased during their trip to Korea. The suitcase had been secured with a TSA lock. I was informed, after the incident, that such occurrences were not uncommon, although there have been some improvements. Unfortunately, it appears that such incidents still happen. Consequently, I have decided that I will not choose Bamboo Airways for future flights.
No response to amended booking
I have sent countless emails trying to get confirmation of my rescheduled flight.
My booking online is still showing as the old one, which is very concerning as I'm meant to fly soon.
I can't seem to get any answer on the phone, or email.
I hope someone tries to respond to me before we fly, else the holiday we will be forced to book with another airline.
Terrible customer service
Terrible customer service - the worst I have experienced from an airline. Very slow responses to my emails when I have been trying for many days to refund my ticket. They say the will refund it but then there is no action to process the refund. Poor quality English makes it difficult to communicate. The phone line number simply does not work. Very disappointed.
One of the worst airlines that I have travelled in
They misplaced our luggage on our flight to HCMC from Melbourne. We were without the luggage for the entire trip of 8 days and there was no earnest attempt made to locate and deliver our luggage in the next available flight. Instead they decided to keep the luggage in Melbourne to save them the transportation costs. In spite of several emails, I did not receive any communication until the last day of my return. For all the inconvenience and additional expenses incurred on the essentials, we were offered a paltry compensation of $60. It was more an insult than a compensation and hence, I did not accept the compensation. Apparently, that is their policy. As per Montreal convention, which Vietnam is part of, airlines are required to compensate customers for baggage delays with up to $1700 USD. They are misleading people stating that their company policy allows them to compensate up to a maximum of $30 only. They turned our holiday into a nightmare as we had to shop for essentials including basic clothes for three of us, which included a 3 year old toddler. We spent over $1700 in essentials and $60 does not even remotely make up for it. Imagine spending time shopping in an alien country with a toddler when we should have been enjoying our holiday. Not just money but I Iost precious time because of this airlines. Never will I ever fly with Bamboo Airways.
Theft from luggage
Decided to fly business class from HCMC to London. When I arrived home and opened my suitcase I discovered 3 watches had been stolen. These things happen and so I emailed Bamboo to report the theft and ask about next steps. No reply after 3 days, despite me sending a reminder each day. If you want to use a reliable Vietnamese airline try Vietnam Airlines, if you want your valuables stolen and then to be ignored then by all means give Bamboo Airways a go, they’ll be more than happy to treat you like something they found on the bottom of their shoe.
Appalling Reservations Customer Service
Reservations Customer Service appalling. Booked business class through from London to Melbourne Australia. Our flight schedule was changed meaning that the flight from Hanoi to Melbourne now departs 8 hours before our flight from London arrives in Hanoi. They offered an indirect onward flight to Melbourne from Hanoi 3 days later meaning 3 nights in Hanoi and a further overnight in Ho Chi Minh city enroute. This was impossible as we have to be back in Melbourne 3 days earlier than that flight will arrive. We spoke to the call centre to arrange leaving London a few days earlier on a routing which still meant 2 nights in Vietnam but got us back to Melbourne in time for work commitments. The agent said they would send an email to confirm. Nothing received. We can no longer access the booking on their app or website. We have emailed every ticketing/reservation office they have in the world. Nothing. We haven't got a clue what's happening and have been trying to make this simple change for 6 weeks now. I dare say, everything on board will be stunning, but the booking call centre is incompetent, perhaps even worse than the Qantas call centre - and that's saying something
Excellent flight from Phu Quoc to Can Tho!
I took a short but great flight from Phu Quoc to Can Tho. The aircraft was new and clean with excellent and attentive service. Thank you Bamboo Airways!
Really good airline, exceeded expectations
I was a bit anxious about flying with Bamboo, but the experience was excellent except for the coshing on the return flight from Hanoi to LHR. They cranked the heating up so high I had to sit only wearing my shorts. It must have been 30c. I wet up to the where the aircrew were stationed just to cool down as the temp was so much lower where they were.
