Austin Macauley Publisher only sent an updated letter 'Terminating me using clause 22' giving me 2 days notice of ceasing being my 'publisher!!
They said they emailed me giving me notice of 3 weeks+/-
Gutted after what I paid them!!! I asked for a 3 month extension to try and promote by book with Christmas coming. But no!

They took my rough draft and transformed it into a polished, well-written book.

I may as well have self published. Little support and zero sales. The few books sold received 5/5 ratings on Amazon so I know it’s not my book failing, it’s them. I email them and now I get no response whatsoever.

I had such a great experience with Austin Macauley when I published my first children's book, their team is professional and efficient and made the creation process enjoyable and stress free. I would definitely recommend them!

The memo diarys written by Michaela Cummings Was a beautifully written account of her difficult journey through the
menopause.
I found it interesting how women have their own unique journeys with the menopause, so would highly recommend this book.

From start to finish the Austin Macauley team were super professional and friendly. They made the complicated process of publishing my first children's book, "Little Simon, Stop that Climbing" easy for me. Since books for toddlers are heavily illustrated I was consulted by the Art Dept on a weekly basis regarding each page and they genuinely valued my input as the author. As a first time writer, having finished my rough draft, I was very much in need of guidance through the publishing process. Austin Macauley has given me what I was looking for, a thorough editing of the text which although a long and slow process, was always a collaborative effort. We communicated by email and this was effective, our exchanges were frequent and business-like, but sometimes I would have preferred face-to-face contact to discuss the overall progression of my writing.
Presently I am working with the marketing team to promote my book. I was surprised to learn that this publishing firm contributes so enthusiastically, and that I too am being encouraged to explore venues for advertising with their assistance.
The telephone contact I have had with customer service has always been positive. In production, the staff have been friendly and professional. In marketing I have found them helpful, answering my queries patiently, and emailing me relevant information.
As a first time writer I have been impressed by Austin Macauley's commitment, and I would certainly recommend their services.

I have been published by 4 other publishers for my Gothic Poetry, and had moderate success. Austin Macauley Publishers are now going to publish my first book based on my life as a Schizophrenic, with some information and a lot of humour and Hope. Friendly, efficient, professional staff that guide you without pushing; and publish without prejudice. A kinder publisher that's with you through the whole publishing interest.

When dealing online as opposed to face-to-face, it is extremely important that communication is clear & timely. It has been with Austin Macauley (AM)

They are publishing my first ever novel in English. I sent the manuscript last November, they accepted it with enthusiasm and we started a shared journey towards publication. They have been professional and supportive at all different stages.

I was promised the world and received nothing! They did not even proof read my book, I had to do all of the editing myself. Throughout the whole process I did not have one specific person to assist me. They did not respond to the messages that I left regarding questions I had. The marketing and publicity department is non-existent. This was a major mistake signing with them. Don't make the same mistake!

As an author, I had high hopes for the launch and promotion of my work, but I must admit that I feel disappointed by the overall effort put forth by the team. It appears that the book was not given a genuine push to ensure its success, leading me to feel that there was a lack of belief in the potential of my work.

One of my key expectations, as outlined in our contract, was to have media interviews and promotional events that would showcase "Notice Me" to a wider audience. Unfortunately, these opportunities have not materialised. There has been no mention of media engagements, book launches, or signings, which has left me feeling neglected and frustrated. After investing both financially and emotionally into this project, I anticipated more than just the publication of my book.

The absence of communication or updates regarding its progress further exacerbates my concerns. It appears to me that Austin Macauley has, in fact, turned out to be more of a vanity publisher, which I regret falling for.

Working with the Austin Macauley publishing house was a great experience.
They read my story and liked it, patiently and professionally helping me realize my dream of publishing a book.

I am very grateful to them for that.

You might as well throw your hard earned cash down the toilet. I paid £5k to publish one book, assuming that this company would be promoting the book - how wrong I was! As far as I can see, AM simply put it on Amazon - no promotions, no adverts, nothing! After a year of waiting for sales figures I was finally told that there weren't any apart from my friends and family.
AM is simply a Vanity Publisher and do not get involved in promoting your books so you would be better off self-publishing - in fact you might even do it cheaper.
My advice? Avoid Austin Macauley and go to a real publisher.

All of the team at AM Publishers have been really supportive and they are always on hand if you have any queries or concerns. It has been a pleasure so far to work with them and I would recommend AM Publishers to any writer seeking to actualize their dream.

SCAM!! Got my 6 month royalty check and it was for £50!!!! They said I only sold a handful of books!!! And I know this is not the case, because my friends bought over 100 books. Please stay away from them!!!
