I got a good price for my scrap car, and the whole process was seamless and smooth after getting an online quote. But ASM excelled because they had great customer service on the phone too (Phillippa). Friendly and very efficient. I wasn't left with the automatic 'online service' that some companies offer.

I brought a roller shutter from ASM and it’s dented and bent out of shape, when pointed out to ASM I got told well it’s a 2nd hand part and there unwilling to help, £350 for a scrap bit of Metal 😔

This is a fine example of how a company should operate. From start to finish efficient communication and hassle-free collection of vehicle. Would certainly do business with ASM again.

Trying to find a new part for my vehicle was like finding hens teeth. Going to my local main dealer only brought on a migraine, with little or no help from them apart from 'computer say no'.
Luckily I found ASM whilst searching for the part number and it was great. Pictures of the part were clear and defined, part number easily seen. Phoned ASM and spoke to Rob (A big thank you to him), he checked my vehicle reg number against the manufacturers parts code list, and made sure the part was the correct one, he kept me in the loop all the way through and changed what had become an extremely stressful matter into something relatively easy to resolve. Part arrived on time, well packaged and very clean. Hats off to ASM (and Rob).

So I bid on a car which adds 15 seconds, it says closing after the 15 seconds are up and low and behold a further 3 seconds later another bid comes in. This is not the first time. I feel there is shill bidding going on as others have also mentioned in the reviews. Even though the reserve is met and there is a huge gap in bidding all of a sudden a late bid out of the 15 seconds. I’ve bought 3 cars here and two others had a similar feel.

Clearly inhouse bidding is talking place in this auction site and is just against the LAW. Last year i placed a bid on a car and after i lost which i thought my bid was even high anyway i saw the car back on auction again . I have seen cars relisted again and again. 2 weeks ago I won a car there and i feel the price ended up very close to my max bid which was suspicions. Since that was my first car I won i decided to pay for it. It was way to high for a cat S car but i paid for it. Last week i bid again and it went up again near my max bid and i won . I have decided not to pay for it and I will take my case up. This is fraud,

LIED ABOUT WHAT WAS SAID ON THE PHONE AND BLOCKED THE ACCOUNT HOLDERS ACCOUNT. ALL I DID WAS RING TO SEE IF THE VEHICLE WAS AVAILABLE FOR COLLECTION AND AS THE RECOVERY DRIVER I AM SURE IM ENTITLED TO DO THAT, SHE SAID SHE WOULDNT SPEAK TO ANY BODY ELSE APART FROM THE ACOUNT HOLDER, LIED TO ME STATING I SAID SOMETHING WHICH WAS NEVER SAID. They bid on thier cars to push the bid up and when they don't get what they want they release it again later on and they do that all time , im not sure what they think? Or do they want the buyer to pay the full price of what is the car worth even is damaged +20% VAT I wish I didn't spend 60 pound subscription with them so please stay away , there is no win with them no way

Bunch of frauds the whole lot of them that sell on that site won the bids on 2 vechiles 1 on asm and 1 synetec and onother bids comes in but wont let bid back rang them tell me might be my internet stay away dont wast your time going through their websites

Accepted quote for my scrap car online this morning drove 1.5 hours to them for them to say they will only pay £300 as it's a non runner, despite being fully complete without parts missing and working engine etc. Please go and scrap your cars in somewhere with integrity and honesty. This is the first time I've ever used this scrap yard and what a waste of a day. I even tried to negotiate extra money as I've got 4 more to scrap tomorrow as in a recovery truck driver it's a regular gig. Very annoying.

Ordered a replacement wing mirror. The part I received was faultless and in pristine condition. All electronics worked when fitted to the car. Delivery was also 1 day earlier than stated on the original purchase.
So for me it was a good experience.

I was contacted by ASM Auto Recycling after putting a request on a “find a part” breakers yard type website. They told me they had the part I required and would post it out to me. Upon receiving the part I realised it wasn’t what I requested and they then told me they don’t accept returns.

EDIT: Issue regarding refund/return was fixed very quickly after this review, changed review from 1 star to 3

steer clear of these people for if you have any complaints, you can not get in touch I had the phone put down on me, two days ago, I have been trying to ring back ever since no one will answer, things were missing off the car I bought, that were on the selling picture, they have left me no other choice but to ring the police.

I deal with this company a lot very professional and always have what I want, I be dealing with Rob who is very knowledgeable and efficient and so helpful, keep up the good work ASM *****
