I went to place an order for £30 worth of vegetable plants which I have ordered from other suppliers.

I do understand todays cost of living crisis is effecting us all but I really don’t live in an obscure area, I do live in Aberdeenshire Scotland and order online and receive deliveries for many items it sometimes takes a bit longer but that is not an issue for me.
I have ordered many plants online but I have never seen such a high courier charge. I do not mind paying a price for delivery. But delivery from Ashridge at £24 for an order of £30 seems very excessive.
I am aware I can go elsewhere but I was impressed with did like the look of thier quality plants.
Ashridge claim it is the courier charge and would not lower the price. In the end I went elsewhere and got the same plants for a 5.99 delivery fee.

Fantastic service from Ashridge Nurseries. I ordered 2 x flowering cherry and 1 x apple tree on Monday, these were delivered on Friday. The bare rooted trees look great, with good size roots; all very well packed. I then ordered 2 x rambling roses on Tuesday. Ashridge Nurseries contacted me to say they would bundle my two orders together so there would only be one delivery charge. The roses arrived on Friday too. All of these will be planted tomorrow.

All aspects of this company are excellent. The website is very good information clearly laid out and easy to order. They were polite, friendly and efficient at all times. The trees are really good quality - good size and very good roots.

Great customer service, very helpful and quick to respond. The tree that arrived was exactly what I was hoping for.

Incredibly frustrating to deal with. Order placed end of October. Delivery delayed initially because of mild Autumn, I was told delivery end December/early January. Last conversation I had was that the order was being delivered this week (I've organised labour to plant on that basis) but no dispatch notice and noone answering phones and email response is that it may take more than 3 days to respond to the mail. We order a large quantity of trees each year and with a number of suppliers. All of which have been delivered with the exception of Ashridge. I would very much like someone to call me today to let me know if and when the delivery will take place and to cancel whatever part of the order could be holding the orde up

bare root lol. its a stick no needles nothing like the picture .this country is getting worse just companys ripping people off all the time.do not buy from this site...

This is my second time ordered a Christmas tree from Ashridge, same as last time, I got a perfectly beautiful tree, it makes the whole room smells lovely and the price is so good! We will definitely keep ordering from them every year.

Very easy on line ordering system, detailed descriptions with photos. order confirmed immediately.
Delivery arrived on time, superb Beech hedging, strong well rooted saplings.

I order very large amounts of landscaping products and thought I’d try a new supplier. I placed two orders, one being in error. I’ve emailed to cancel the wrong one four times, tried phoning ( no answer) and direct messaged via Facebook.
I’ve received what I assume is an automated message saying the delivery I don’t want is arriving today. It will be going straight back and I won’t be dealing with this supplier again.

This is the third time that i have bought a named rose from this company.
Rose trees are of the highest standard,well packaged for safe delivery.
Staff are prompt in replying to any questions and always happy to help.Will go nowhere else now!

I wanted a particular Rose to celebrate the birth of my great, great niece.
“Isn’t she lovely”. !!
Ashridge were able to supply, not only quickly, but very reasonably priced for a named rose.
Certainly recommend and delivery was within just a couple of days. The plant is extremely healthy looking and I can’t wait to see the results in the summer. Highly recommended.

I ordered 20 Glen Ample raspberries in July 2022. The price was already very keen compared to garden centres and I also benefited from a welcome discount of 10%. The website made me aware that they would be delivered in Autumn. In November I received an email to say they had been sent and they were delivered by DPD using “Next day”. I was able to delay the delivery to a day I would be home. The canes were wrapped in plastic and then in a large box. All look very healthy, about 30 cm long with a healthy root. I planted them the following day. Some were stronger looking than others but they should all produce good plants. Time will tell if that is the case however Ashridge did very well so far.

How to go from 1* to 5*, and why I tried again. Well the quality was there, hence the retry. Again, the quality is very good, if not excellent. But most important was delivery of a very big fig tree within less than 2 working days.

From my experience with 3 clematis I've just had delivered I'm a happy customer came well packaged they let me know when they were coming all way through delivery and good sized plants 😊 so would recommend with clematis plants

They sent me a dead (or dying) tree. I watered it like they said. I fed it like they said. It died. They wanted to charge £20 for delivery for a replacement. No refund offered. They're greedy and have no ethics, only interested in profit. They hide behind a contract which is unethical (you sign away your rights).

Advertised free P&P this weekend. The system accepted the code for free P&P right up to the pay point where without notice £15 was added to the total for P&P, whilst at the same time in large image the total at the top of the page was showing free P&P

I ordered some white cosmos purity seedlings for my stepdaughter's wedding. When they flowered they turned out to be pink which is not what we wanted. I told Ashridge customer service about it. My money was instantly refunded and within a few hours 25 white cosmos purity arrived as a replacement on my doorstep from them. We all make mistakes but it is how you handle them that is important. In this case Ashridge Nurseries deserve a five out of five review.

Ashridge Nurseries were, in the first place, very communicative about my queries prior to ordering. They advised how they could help. And everything went as they said; my plants are wonderful. They were well packaged and protected for delivery. Now the bees are busy exploring them!

I ordered 2 honeysuckle plants. They arrived in a timely manner but before the planter which I was having made to fit the space. This meant I had to keep them in their pots for 4 or 5 days. I was disappointed with the state of the plants as about 1/3 of the leaves on one plant and about 1/6 of the leaves on the other were discolored and somewhat shriveled. I thought they would recover if I watered them well, which I did everyday. However, by the time the planter arrived they actually looked much worse. I took a photo and emailed the company to ask what was wrong with the plants. The reply I got was rude and condescending stating that I had failed to water and should not have kept them in their pots for even 1 day. I was very annoyed as the plants were not inexpensive and to be replied to in that manner was unacceptable. I emailed again expressing my disappointment and received a very polite reply explaining the issue which can happen when honeysuckles are transported in a box is a kind of fungus which quickly passes when they are in the air and planted. I was offered a satisfactory price reduction and the plants are growing beautifully as the second customer service agent assured me they would.

So pleased with first order of jasmine ordered 5 more, they are fantastic, came well wrapped. will be ordering more from this company
