I have bought a number of trees and saplings for a hedge from Ashridge over the last few years. I have always found them swift and reliable. Their website is full of very useful information. If you have a query an email or phone, they get back to you with really helpful answers specific to your case. It is just great to deal with the genuinely helpful and high calibre firm.

Ashridge are a great company to deal with. Just had my barerooted plants delivered and very happy with them, all a good size with healthy roots. Their customer service is very quick and helpful.

The second part of my order, that is lavender plants, which you showed in stock, has not arrived. If they are not in stock you should contact me and I will go elsewhere. None of the contact or help links work on your website, it is impossible to contact you

Not a happy experience. Wish I had read the reviews about failed raspberry canes, and also the small print of their terms and conditions. Last November I ordered 5 Autumn Bliss bare-rooted raspberry canes and 10 Glen Ample canes. All five autumn raspberries thrived and produced lovely fruit. Eight of the 10 Glen Ample failed completely — planted in the same soil, to the same depth, with the same watering and weeding regime — and one more produced just a single shrivelled leaf at soil level. While Ashridge would have been happy to replace the failed canes, they wanted to charge in full for delivery, even though the failure was clearly in the plants rather than the way they were planted and cared for, or the autumn raspberries would have failed too. As they suggested, the delivery charges would make the plants rather expensive, so I opted for a refund instead. I shall order canes from another supplier, and try to forget that last year I paid full delivery charges for just six canes that survived, out of 15.

I had some issues with the birch trees I bought from Ashridge Nurseries. After submitting a form on their website I was contacted within a couple of days, and after a short email exchange, I was able to resolve my issue easily. They were polite, responsive, and easy to deal with.

Ordered two roses planning for next year not expecting to receive them in full flower, what lovely plants.

Great customer service and care. They listen to requests about plants, deliveries - so helpful. Their plants are vibrant & healthy when they are delivered because they left Ashridge in that condition and are very well packed to arrive in excellent order. From ordering to planting they have process and plants spot on! Thank you.

I ordered a wisteria, it is a very healthy and strong plant, well worth every penny. It was packaged well, it arrived in good time and I was kept up to date through the whole process. I will definitely buy from ashbridge again, very happy.

It's always a gamble buying something before seeing it, but it paid off. A very healthy Lonicera arrived in great condition, at the time Yodel said it would. It came packed in a box, which was undamaged, and despite the hot weather its soil was still damp. I have a lot of plants on my list that I plan to get later in the year, and because of this positive experience I shall definitely be getting them from Ashridge.

Very disappointed to receive a bay tree instead of the sage ordered.
It sure how this can have happened as no similarities between the two.

Amazing service and a beautiful shrub. They went the extra mile.
I was sending to a friend who had recently lost one of her parents, she had said a few weeks ago that she would like a cutting of my shrub. I decided to send her a shrub that she can plant in her garden and remember her loved one, Ashridge also sent a note that I had asked to be put in with the shrub. Nothing was too much trouble, thoroughly recommend them.

Never planted a hedge before or used on-line garden nurseries. Ashridge provided a wealth of information so I gave them a try. A well packaged but uninspiring bunch of 240 bare root twigs arrived on 14th December and they have now grown into an amazing vigorous hedge. Quality stuff.

I've just moved into a new home, a new build built on the old Fife coalfield. I wanted to bring a little bit of nature to the new house. Ashridge Nurseries provided everything I needed to plant a new mixed native hedge.

The range of plants on the site was perfect for my needs. Being able to say when not to deliver was a huge plus, and I was given plenty of warning as to when to expect my delivery. The plants were delivered as advised and I couldn't be happier with quality - well wrapped for travel and wonderfully healthy.

After digging out a couple of bags full of coal from the garden (!) to prep the ground, I planted my hedge plants. I've waited to see how well they bedded in before writing this review. Every single one is thriving with buds bursting with fresh new leaves. If you are looking for plants, Ashridge Nurseries should be your first port of call, you won't be disappointed.

They use courier services - in this case YODEL - so DO NOT order from this company if you live in my area (Leeds, West Yorkshire) and you want your parcel to be delivered.
The Nursery ignored my instructions about holidays and they shipped my delivery to arrive while I was away. I contacted them but was told my order was with my local depot (heaven help me) and they would add specific instructions for my order to be delivered today, before 4pm. I did stress that Yodel would completely ignore any instructions, but, as usual with all the sellers who use couriers, they thought they knew better. I needed part of my order - a Golden Celebration rose - for my friends anniversary. Mine apparently is the last one they had in stock, so no chance of reordering. If it's the same driver as my previous undelivered parcels - one being a very rare antique doll - then he's stolen some beautiful roses. When will sellers learn that the courier drivers in this area are liars and thieves, and use Royal Mail or ParcelForce. I had booked a visit and meal to celebrate my anniversary, which is tomorrow, but had to cancel my plans because of this mess-up. This is my first and last order with this plant company. BE WARNED!

Ashbridge has become my go to nursery for trees. The quality is always spot on and the price is always competitive for the size of tree. I recently bought 2 birch trees which arrived in perfect condition and are now gaining leaf.

A good web site to choose trees from, a generous end of season discount, a speedy delivery (ahead of the expected date), and most importantly lovely plants with excellent healthy root balls, well packaged. What's not to like! We will use Ashridge again. Thanks, John

I ordered a honeysuckle from Ashridge which I couldnt buy locally. They offered a good price compared to other similar online sellers, but still seemed like they would deliver a healthy plant. I think we all hate having to buy online but this time I was not let down. The initial delivery schedule was quite wide open and I was a bit concerned that I might have to chase it up, but they replied within 24hr to my email and in the end delivery was really quite prompt and stress free and I was kept updated by the courrier. But most importantly its a healthy bushy plant which looks quite vigorous and ready to shoot up the wall. I would use this company again.
