I only wish I did this year's earlier. Aperture were such a lovely company to deal with. Very understanding and helpful. Thank you so much

I have been waiting for a certificate of completion for 8 years. Still waiting for certificate after numerous phone calls. . My account is still open & active (all payments completed) until this certificate is received.

Over 6 months after finishing my IVA, no response from the company (whom took over from DFD without my permission of acknowledgement) and no certificate stating it is finished; despite their own portal showing I have paid MORE than what I was supposed to!

Still no idea what is going on but have started complaints procedures against them and getting a third party involved. If you're looking at a company to help you, choose another.

The help-desk people are pleasant and sympathetic but that can't make up for the poor case management. I have been given inaccurate advice by the help-desk and then a colleague apologising and giving different instructions. Three times I have received letters threatening to fail the IVA, all of them sent in error. The last one came with just two payments to go.Considering those seeking an IVA are likely to be stressed, extra stress in sorting this out is unwelcome. Many case were transferred from DFD, another dreadful company that itself went out of business. During the transfer records of agreed deferments were lost causing problems. The only way of contact seems to be by telephone. Letters are never responded to and e-mails rarely. The phone lines used to be open late but are now working hours only. If you need documents etc.to discuss, how do you manage that if you work in a shared office?
If you need an IVA think very carefully about choosing another company.

I was recommended Aperture and had my meeting to discuss everything and thought it went very well, got all my stuff they asked for to them that same day as I just wanted it sorted. Four weeks later asked for an update and was told the person dealing with it has left the company and my details were supposely given to another company. Rang them and they had no clue, so went to Mccambridge Duffy and it was sorted out within 4 weeks to the point where I am making my first payment month.

i have had an IVA with this company for over a year now, and i decided to check with my debtors how much has been paid to them. To my surprise both my credit cards are still at the same balance there were at when i started my IVA, and a loan i took out is now in arrears when the payments were up to date when i took the iva out. I was struggling financially, and i am a single parent, so i did decided to take out an IVA, just to stop the torrent of debtors contacting me . i emailed aperture to ask for a statement of how my payments were distributed. That was three weeks ago and have not received an answer. i have just cancelled my direct debit to them as i have realised they have done nothing to help improve my credit score. No doubt when they don't get a payment they will contact me however i will not be using them any more, i will work with my creditors myself to clear my debt . when i first spoke to aperture my debt was about £4K, and i have paid aperture over a thousand pounds, however none of this seems to have been passed on to my debtors. Reading the other reviews it seems i am not alone in being in this situation. What a waste of time and my money which could have been put towards restoring my credit rating.

Negligent,incompetent and oblivious to any correspondence sent to them.Useless slow and pathetic.Have taken money from me and paid someone they should not have done despite my email to them informing them of the situation.Now I am supposed to wait a long time to see if I get a refund.Their negligence,they should pay me and pursue the money themselves.Pathetic.Never use them.

I have been going through my IVA for 9 years. It was great dealing with Invocas and then Clear Debt, but then it got passed to Aperture. Since then I have been in contact with them on a regular basis but then they write to me to say I have broke the rules of my IVA, I have never missed a payment in all these years.
I received an email in November 2018 saying it should take 6-8 weeks to decide if my IVA was closed. It is now July 2019 and I have heard nothing from them.
I cannot believe the financial ombudsman aren't all over them.

My IVA was going great until aperture took over from debt free direct, Terrible communication, can never get through , Paid by standing order and then they changed the account details without notifying me so my standing order kept pinging back to my account, made payments through the customer portal instead, and now telling me I'm in arrears, which I definately am not. Absolutely useless company causing me a lot of stress when it's them messing up my IVA. I've paid on time every month for three years, and now because they aren't doing there jobs properly my IVA could fail.

Everything was going well until the end. I was still getting asked for expenditures a year later. Contacting them is impossible! After days of trying, I eventually went online, filled out an enquiry form and was contacted in minutes (funny that).
They told me that I'd have to contact all my creditors myself to have my record updated too (I thought they would do that). I had to ask for proof that my IVA was finnished and eventually I received a certificate (A year later). Just to top it off, I've recently had another company associated with Aperture contacting me requesting I go through the whole proccess of checking for PPI again. I had to do this numerous times with numerous companies during my IVA (which transfered to different companies while it was active)
Customer service I can't comment on as I'm not sure they have any and as for being debt free, I'm not confident ??????

Joke of a company, my Iva has been passed around this was the 3rd company ( nothing to do with me) but took thousands of pounds out of the Iva to cover this, also paid stupid amounts for them to check for ppi and a cheque for £5452 went missing, I had to do all the ring up to find out where it had gone even though they were being paid to do it. Ended pay over £1500 more than my debt, eventually the creditors accepted what was paid into my Iva and I thought the case was closed, but no I got a couple of hundred pounds back off a ppi and the creditors kept it, even though they accepted what had been paid into the Iva. Paid in £20000 and creditors got about £13000 of it. None of the staff have a clue apart from one called Gerard. In all honesty I wish I had declared myself bankrupt because of all the stress this company caused me.

Hi all dont use this company took over my iva and could not even help me with the creditors meeting to back me up on my situation and the customer service is very rotten dont waste your time with them after a year of payments iva failed and back to square one so thanks

After reading the previous review i am shock for such a low score,
I rang aperture quite upset about my finacial situation. I was struggling with my debts and been a single parent is very hard, i was on the brink on a breakdown, anyhow spoke to a lovely lady who calmed me down and was very helpful, after a long conversation i found out they were unable to help me so i felt stuck again, Within 2 hours of the phone call ending, i recieved another call fom the manager who took my case on and was there from start to finish, I spoke to 3 didfferent people throughout my case who was so helpful and couldn't do enought to help me, within a month sorting paper work out and balifs no longer chasing me i now have a IVA in place with a manabeble monthly payment, I can't thank them enough.
Please dont hesitate to use them.

This company make out like they are helping when in actual fact they increase your debt considerably. They don't answer e mails and I asked for a statement of what money was being paid to my debtors and received nothing. They are unhelpful and are only interested in getting their money. I tried to explain that I was struggling with the monthly payment but never got a response. I cancelled my direct debit in the end and will look elsewhere for a more professional company to help me. Avoid at all costs.
