Paid for 2 day shipping and just got standard shipping instead. Did they send my extra money back. LOL

Purchased a textbook for use in the U.S. The cover of the book we received says "For Sale in India, Pakistan, Nepal, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, and Bhutan ONLY." It is clearly not the book we need. Altobooks would only issue a refund if I paid for return shipping. If Altobooks reverses their position and pays for return shipping, I will update this review.

I ordered a textbook for my daughter at 1/3 price it was from Amazon. I got extremely worried when I read the negative online reviews... I hadn't looked before I placed my order. I sent them an email requesting the tracking number and expressing my concerns. I received a prompt and friendly reply, including the tracking number. I paid for 2 day shipping and received the book in 3 business days (there was a weekend involved). Book was in excellent condition... it was the correct book with no issues of any kind. This was my only experience with Alto Books, but it was excellent.

When I complained, they ignored me until I threatened to report them, and that was when I was asked to return the book. When I returned the book, they only returned part of the money I paid for the book. When I sent message to them about the remaining of my money, they blatantly refused to reply me. Please keep away from altbook.com if you don't want to be scammed

It took 21 days to receive my book, only to find out they sent the wrong book. Wrong ISBN, and no one answers the phone.

International version of text book is not the same, as stated. Now I have to repurchase the US version. Also I paid for two day shipping and book was mailed media mail.

books arrived damaged and someone called Justin replied in email that they would only refund 15% of the listing price. I requested for an exchange but Justin claimed that they did not have any other copied of the book. However, their website clearly indicated that there were 8 more copies of the same book. They are simply lying and cheating customers. Do not buy from them!

I ordered a book from Alto for nursing school. I received the book on time and everything. The only issue I had was I was missing a few chapters and some of the pages were upside down. I have been trying for 4 weeks to get my partial refund, but no luck! I keep getting emails saying it’s been processed but I haven’t seen anything. This has forced me to get my bank involved. Im not happy with their service and how they handle things. Other than that the books are legit and cheap which is a benefit.

This company is TRASH. I ordered a textbook, I waited 26 days. They NEVER sent any shipping information and never shipped my book. I contacted the company and a "Justin K." responded with a weak apology saying they would refund me. I NEVER GOT A REFUND. I'm tired of dealing with this horrible company. This company is a scam. DO NOT BUY FROM THEM. Even their comments on reviews of their shady business are lies trying to discredit the jaded buyers who were cheated and lied to by this company.

I ordered a book through Altobooks and went to the post office on 1/21/20 to return the book. The company has received the book and I was notified my refund was processed on Feb.6 and will appear on my credit card statement in 1 to 2 days at the most. I have notified the company through email I have not received my refund, mind you they told me my refund was processed on Feb.6 and today's date is Feb.12. I have been communicating through email and the only response I get is" your return has been processed and takes 1 to 2 business days at the most. I am still waiting on my refund. I have asked to speak to someone to resolve the matter and I also asked for proof that my refund has been processed and I continue to get the same response. This company has been unprofessional, incarcerate and has did nothing to resolve the problem. I will NEVER ORDER THOUGH THIS COMPANY AGAIN AND I THINK I HAVE BEEN SCAMMED.

The book I ordered said hardcover, I recieved a paperback with damage from the mailing. I emailed them and they didn't seem to care.

Just like someone else, I received an international version of the book I needed, claiming to be the same material, only some questions were missing, and all question values are different. The worse is that the book was labeled new, but arrived with damage that appears to have been there before shipment. The 14 money back guarantee for damaged products and payment for postal shipment isn't true since I have an email from Justin K. telling me they are willing to offer partial refund. I may have to convince a magistrate or a jury that they just found a way to get rid of damaged goods and go against their word when people wish to send it back. Their phone number isn't real, and they only communicate by online messages with 1 business day waits for email responses. I am an EE/EET major at SIU in Carbondale Illinois named Jason Bischoff if anybody wants to verify with me my experience before giving this company any information.

They were great. Altobooks does not gouge prices. If you're a student looking to purchase textbooks, come here. My book was obscure and they still had it.

I never received a shipping confirmation for my book. The book did arrive; however, it was completely different from the original book, despite the website saying the content would be the same. The company is very hard to get in contact with. Emailing them takes quite a while to get a response and their phone number is not real. Also they have a 14 day money back guarantee; however, customers must pay for return shipping. Waste of time. Do not buy books from here.

I was worried about this since I only saw negative reviews AFTER I bought a textbook. However, a week later I received my textbook I would've spent $300 on for only $16. It did however take about 4 days for the order to process.

Though it took a little over a week to get here, the book is in great condition and they had quick customer service over email.

Never received the book my wife ordered a month prior to needing for a Christmas tradition. Multiple emails saying it was on way and at the time of this review still nothing. Sent emails, left phone messages nothing. Until I receive the book or a refund or both can not and will not recommend this retailer in any form.
