Good service

In January 2024, our family travelled for Umrah, having booked through this company. We initially dealt with Nadia, who was courteous and helpful until issues arose, at which point communication from her ceased entirely.

Our booking included four passengers, divided into two separate flights on the same day with minor differences in timing, flying from Manchester Airport to Madinah Airport via a stopover in Jeddah.

Upon arrival at Madinah, two of us waited endlessly for the remaining two passengers, who never arrived. Attempts to contact them were futile as they lacked a local SIM card, and our UK SIMs were non-functional in Saudi Arabia.

To further compound the issue, no transportation was arranged to take us from the airport to our hotel, leaving us stranded. We eventually secured a taxi to the hotel and purchased a local SIM card to use WhatsApp. Despite this, we were unable to reach the missing passengers as they had no internet access.

Later, they managed to contact us using their taxi driver’s phone. It transpired that they had missed their connecting flight due to incorrect information, which showed the flight as delayed when, in fact, it had departed on time.

Adding insult to injury, when we tried to address the situation the next day, we discovered that our return flights had been cancelled due to a "no-show." This was absurd, as we had successfully travelled from Manchester to Jeddah. Despite our protests, Nadia informed us that nothing could be done, and we would need to purchase new tickets.

This ordeal overshadowed what was meant to be a spiritual and peaceful pilgrimage. The stress and anxiety of trying to resolve these issues detracted entirely from our experience.

To make matters worse, Nadia ceased all communication, leaving us to navigate the crisis alone. By Allah's grace, we managed to resolve the situation just days before our return flight to the UK.

Despite repeated attempts to lodge a complaint, Alharam Travel has yet to respond. This level of incompetence and negligence is unacceptable, and we would never recommend their services.

We are now pursuing legal action to hold them accountable for this distressing and deeply unprofessional experience.
