Quality bit of furniture!
Late in being delivered (although I was constantly updated) and missing instructions but the assistance I received when assembling the unit was brilliant. As for the unit itself, it's awesome. Really good quality and looks fantastic.

Product quality
Today finally received the dining table Blencathra, although the delivery time was delayed than expected, but the quality of the goods style feeling very satisfied, in the process thank you customer service colleague Michael help, overall want to give a little feedback, in the customer service reply time can be improved, so very good . wish your company's business will prosper.

Disappointing- it took about 6 weeks to…
Disappointing- it took about 6 weeks to arrive after being given a lead time initially of 10-15 days. It was flat pack but the connectors did not fit the holes in the shelves, although everything else fitted together, so after emailing I finally got a reply and they sent smaller connectors, which of course then didn’t fit together with the other pipes! I requested they collect it all and refund my money but never got an answer! Eventually decided I’d have to file the holes in the wooden shelves to make them bigger, that took 2 hours as several shelves and a lot of mess. Finally managed to get it put together and it does look nice but would never buy from them again, which is a shame as always like to support small businesses and wanted to buy other matching units but will look elsewhere.

Items took longer than originally…
Items took longer than originally promised but communication was great throughout whole process and I was kept up to date before and throughout.
Items are first class and packaged extremely well. Would definitely buy from again.

Unfortunately, I cannot rate the furniture, just the service levels. I have done a bit of research around the type of dining table I want in my new kitchen. The Acumen Collection Blencathra fitted my requirements.
I am an old fashioned guy that likes verbal interaction when making large purchase. I had a couple of questions around the extension leaf's and the bench dimensions. I phoned the office many times, left messages but nothing returned. Sent email questioning why no one answers. The MD sent me an email asking best time to call me, which I responded with a time the following day. I therefore ordered and paid for a couple of colour samples. Alas, the call from the MD still failed to materialise.
If it this difficult to speak to someone regarding a sale, if there was an post delivery issues I would stand no chance of getting a resolution!!

Great experience from start to finish…
I’ve purchased a gorgeous stool and bathboard in the last few days and they are absolutely perfect. I’m delighted with them. I’m about to start a back to brick bathroom renovation and they will look stunning in there. Being able to choose from several stools was a really nice touch too. Both items arrived incredibly well parcelled up in several layers of bubble wrap to avoid any damage. Great communication, fantastic quality and speedy delivery, what else could you want? I can’t fault the beautiful products but I can fault the customer service
This is a very difficult post to write because I always want to support small businesses however, I think the service we received was poor. When I first ordered the table there was a 6-8week lead time advertised, I was pleasantly surprised as this seemed short for a bespoke table (it was too short and I was right!). At the point the 8th week was drawing to a close I contacted Acumen to ask for an update, at which point I was told that the new delivery time would be another 1-2 weeks due to a surge in demand and a member of staff being on holiday. I wouldn’t have minded as much if this contact had been proactive but instead it was reactive to my chasing and also there was a sale currently being advertised on the website, so unable to complete my order on time but encouraging further demand for the tables? Also, in the email it mentioned being incredibly busy and only to contact them again “if absolutely necessary”, I think this was unnecessary and poor customer service, I hadn’t contacted unnecessarily in the first place, the products being sold aren’t cheap and there may be less contact if the contact from the business was more proactive! Again, I had no problem waiting for bespoke furniture but to know my order was being delayed and yet the website still showed 6-8 week delivery, was of course frustrating! It actually took over 3 additional weeks for the table to be delivered, but again I heard nothing from Acumen about the further delay and the first I heard of the delivery was actually from the delivery company saying it had been booked in for 2 days later (which I couldn’t make!). The delivery actually turned out well and had no issues once I told them I couldn’t do the original scheduled time. My table is stunning and so I can’t rate Acumen too low because the quality of the products is fabulous but the quality of the customer service left a lot to be desired! I would recommend giving longer lead times on the website, people will be thrilled if they get their order earlier and I find customers are willing to wait for bespoke and beautiful products so I really found there was little excuse for the service received.

We appreciate your patience, and you’re right: even if the delay isn’t excessive for bespoke furniture, our communication should have been more proactive and transparent throughout.

Table
We ordered the table after receiving samples and Acumen kept us in the loop the whole time. There was a small backlog of orders but this was only 1 or 2 weeks.
The table is excellent, everything we hoped for and looks great in the room. Putting the legs on was not an issue, but it was very heavy to then get upright, but was manageable with 2 people.

Only rating 3 stars. We ordered a table, bench and 6 chairs and spent a considerable amount of money with Acumen. The quality of goods is great. However, the bench arrived without tracks inserted, despite the website clearly stating they are included. I have contacted Acumen 3 times to try and resolve this issue ( we are not keen drilling into the wood ourselves in case of damage ) and I got a very brief response to say tracks are not included on benches - despite me sending a screen shot from their webpage stating otherwise. I have since tried to make contact twice with no response. Poor customer service means I cannot rate this company any more stars

So pleased with our Glenridding table and bench! The table makes such an impact in our kitchen…love the live edge finish! Beautiful quality! Delighted to have found a company that have such flexibility on sizes and finishes as finding a suitable table and bench 270cm long in the style and finish we wanted was tough and I thought we’d have to compromise …but Acumen offered everything we wanted!

Recently received our new dining table. Blencathra industrial table in a rugger brown colour.
There was a delay in receiving the order, we were informed of this though. Having now got the table, the wait was worth it. Can't wait to enjoy many happy times sat around it, definitely feels 'made for life'. I highly recommend!
