Booking Aneesa as a singer

I booked Aneesa to perform at an International Women's Day fundraiser show called 'These are the Days!' at a London theatre. Her set was totally sublime. Her singing is magnificent and she had a wonderful rapport with the audience. I would highly recommend booking her for any event. As well as being superbly talented, she is warm and professional and a joy to work with.

High disappointment

In November I ordered the piano score for one of my favourite musicals for a friend of mine for a Xmas present, knowing he'd absolutely love it! But first Presto told me that it would only get to me a few days before Xmas, so they said they'd deliver it straight to my friend (wouldn't be wrapped then of course, but I agreed, knowing it would still be a fantastic pressie) but then they told me it wouldn't be delivered to him in time for Xmas and then, in January, they told me that they didn't have it at all. It was ordered from another source and they never got it so I didn't ever get it, nor did my friend. Very disappointing service from this company.

Thank you for your review. We sincerely apologise that you did not receive this item. We operate from a small warehouse where we do not hold large amounts of stock. When your order is placed we then submit a request to our supplier to obtain the item that you have ordered.
Sometimes we do experience a delay if the item is out of stock at the supplier but we do continue to try and obtain the out of stock item on your behalf to fulfil your order. We sincerely apologise that we could not fulfil your order on this occasion.

After having a disastrous experience with Blossom Flowers (have previously written a bad review about them) they continue sending me emails but there appears to be no way by which I can UNSUBSCRIBE from them, even though they say there is an option to do so. I believe this might be illegal...

Arnis and his colleague did an…

Arnis and his colleague did an excellent job on my pine floorboards! Filling in some gaps where the cold was coming through (from the basement) and then sanding and varnishing. Arnis is clearly immensely knowledgeable and experienced and I would definitely recommend him to anyone!

I appreciated the time spent with me on…

I appreciated the time spent with me on the phone when I was trying to first work out how to book a skiing trip. Only concern I had was that I was told one place looked very good and was about to book it but then found lots of worrying criticisms about it when I checked the reviews and switched to another option. I'm glad I didn't take Heidi's advice at that point. But otherwise, great service.

DO NOT USE ORDER FLOWERS FROM THIS BUSINESS! I order some for my friend - they were delivered late with the wrong message attached (to and from someone we don't know) and I have been emailing their so-called customer service for days now trying to get a refund. They say they need an order number to issue one but NEVER sent me an order number. They are A SCAM - DON"T WASTE YOUR HARD-EARNED MONEY

I bought a garden shed from Robert…

I bought a garden shed from Robert Dyas. I have to say that their own customer service in arranging delivery and answering my inquiries was fine BUT everything they said to me was negated by the company they I think outsourced to, who were MGP, Mercia Garden Products. So RD would say something would be fine and then I was told by MGP that it wasn't. This happened several times and the whole process turned into an absolute nightmare. MGP were the most difficult company I think I have ever done business with and never will again. The shed which was delivered, which I bought from Robert Dyas had a door which dropped at the bottom and so could not easily open. When I asked for a replacement I was again put through the wringer by MGP as I tried to explain to them what the problem was. Even though Robert Dyas customer service staff were polite and helpful, every bit of advice they gave me seemed not to actually be the case when I ran it by MGP. My inquiries with RD and MGP went on for weeks and by the time I eventually received a replacement door from MGP I had almost lost the will to live! 😀

I have been working with Event…

I have been working with Event Insurance for a few months taking out policies for performers I employ for one-off events. All was going well until today when I called and they told me I could not do this. That the performer had to deal directly with them. This may well be the case but why then had previous people I'd spoken to at their company (namely Rhys Windsor, Sarah Perkins and Kay Choudhury) all allowed me to go ahead with taking out the insurance and paying for it myself? Met with a 'computer says no' employee today I asked to speak to the manager Michael who said he would need to look at all the paperwork from my previous dealings in order to work out what had happened and he implied that I must have done something wrong, either previously or today to have somehow secured insurance! I asked for an apology but all I got was 'I'm sorry if there has been some confusion'. No confusion at my end - just a returning customer being treated poorly. Sadly I don't think they are going to refund me any of the money I've paid them for all the policies they now say I shouldn't have been able to secure! :) (ps. Michael, please don't reply to this saying that you repeat that you are sorry that there has been a misunderstanding! ). LESSON = DON'T USE THIS COMPANY!

The delivery was not on the day I'd arranged it. It came two days earlier. Great, you might say! But I had booked a specific time and day and might well have been out. I'd prefer to know that the delivery time I chose was when it would come! When I expressed surprise to the delivery man, he replied 'Well, I can take it away if you'd prefer'.
