Parcel. Where is it?

Parcel due to be delivered to my home yesterday but as no time was given and I could not guarantee to be in I diverted it to a local collection point for delivery today. All seemed to be going well till I received an email late afternoon saying they couldn’t find the delivery point. This is the same point they suggested I use as it is nearest to my home. As a result I still don’t have the parcel and I can only hope I can collect it tomorrow. Wishing I never had to use DHL as they always fail at som point in the delivery process for me.

Just a little more attention to detail with the initials

I chose to add my initials to the iPhone case I was purchasing. The item arrived promptly and personalised as requested but I do think the initials could be better positioned in the corner of the front cover. Slightly lower and more equidistant from the edges would have been perfect. The case itself is the second I have ordered from Torro and it is perfect and how I expected, if a little on the costly side.

Very smooth process from start to finish

I made an order online, was kept up to date with the expected delivery slot, was called well within the time slot and given a ten minute alert re arrival and once the gentlemen arrived they carried out the removal and replacement of the new washer/dryer promptly and with the minimum of fuss.

Delighted with whole service

After checking with a few different companies we opted to use Timber Windows as the product did appear to be the best. They are pricey but you get what you pay for with no problems at all during the whole process. Very happy with the end result and would not hesitate to use again or recommend to others.

Driver did not ring the doorbell

Driver did not ring the doorbell, spent seven seconds at the door in total while he knocked just once and took a photo. Left the package in full view propped up against our front door. Didn’t leave a card and made no effort to deliver to our registered alternative safe place, being our next door neighbour. Luckily when we arrived home almost five hours after the delivery was recorded as motion on our video doorbell, the package was still on our doorstep. I have had lost packages supposedly delivered by Yodel in the past and would never choose them over any other delivery service now or in the future.

Long time and still a happy user

Have been a user for many years and have had very few issues but when my wife recently had a problem when using the app via her phone I sent an email for assistance and the support I got was prompt, accurate and effective. Thanks LightwaveRF team.

The first time and a very happy experience

This is the first time I have used this company and quite simply it was a very straightforward transaction. All I wanted was to order a specific product from a reliable company at a good price and to have a no-nonsense outcome. My new appliance was delivered when promised with calls ahead from the delivery company confirming their imminent arrival. My appliance was delivered to where I asked and unpacked for me with the packaging taken away. The two gentlemen delivering were efficient and courteous. The appliance was checked over and had no damage. I fitted it myself without any problem and all in all I am very happy with this experience. If this is the level of overall service the Discount Appliance Centre can regularly provide then I know who I will be looking to next time I need to renew one of my domestic appliances.

Booked via the app and contacted by phone to ensure perfect experience

I used the app on my phone for the first time, asking for an 8 seater vehicle as we had seven passengers. Within a minute of confirming this through the app I received a call saying there was unfortunately no eight seaters available at that time so could they send two vehicles. I then asked how this would impact the price and after checking I was given a very competitive price for each of the two vehicles offered. I accepted and both vehicles were ready and waiting for us a few minutes before we were due to leave. Both took us straight to our destination and charged the agreed price. Our driver was new to Happicabs and didn't know the area we were travelling to but used his navigation equipment to get us there directly and in good time. He was also polite and good to chat with on the journey. In summary, a very good experience using the app and combining that with the staff employed in the office and in the cars of Happicabs.

First time and so simple.

I am not someone who has even tried to work on their computer before. I ordered the extra memory for my iMac based on the information Apple provided, found MrMemory as a supplier and the rest could not have been easier. Lots of information and advice about the parts I needed and the installation process on the website and in the paperwork provided with delivery. Took me 5 minutes to install and saves me hours now my iMac is performing like new. Very happy.

Purchase process good - delivery could do better

Ordered an item and it arrived on time and in good order. Very pleased with my purchase and only issue was actually with the courier company whose tracking site was not working resulting in me having to call to check that the delivery was still happening. I then received a call to ask for directions to my house despite the fact that I had already given these earlier.

Unacceptable threatening letter

I left Flow when my contract was due to expire and I could get my gas and electricity provided cheaper from another company. I was in credit with them for my gas and a lesser amount in debit for my electricity. They had always taken a single payment via direct debit but for some reason gave me a full refund for the gas credit and failed to take payment for the electricity. This resulted in me unknowingly owing them for the unpaid electricity which was brought to my attention by a letter posted to me asking for payment. I called to discuss and once it was explained to me I asked for the final electricity bill as I had never had one and nothing was showing on my online account. This was issued to me (by email) and was then followed by a further email explaining the detail of the bank account details they had for me and stating that they would debit my account for the funds due. I have no problem with this except that they have not yet taken the payment and I am now in receipt of a letter telling me the money is overdue and if I do not pay it they may need to refer my account to a third-party debt recovery agent, which may affect my credit rating. I have never refused to make this payment, I was in overall credit in my account when I chose to move to another supplier and they have my bank details to allow them to take the payment due. This whole issue is as a result of their poor administrative process regarding me closing down the account. When I check and choose to switch to alternative suppliers in the future I will not be including Flow as a potential supplier again as a result of this poor administrative process. There has to be consequences for sending unnecessary threatening letters.

Unexpected early and awkward delivery.

Slight issue with the management of the delivery of our item. Discussion on the phone with the office in the morning advised me that my item was number 7 of 7 out for delivery and I could be safe to expect it to arrive nearer the end of my allotted time slot of 12 noon to 3 pm. I was due to pop out when around noon I got a text to say my item would soon be delivered. Whist I considered calling the office again there was a knock at the door at 12:20 and the delivery had arrived. One gentleman had a quick word to check I was the correct recipient and then went off to collect the item. He delivered a smallish pack into my living room. Placed it in the floor, took a photo of it and asked me to sign. I asked if there was more to come and he said yes. I said how many more and he did not know. I refused to sign at this point stating that I needed to know all of the packs had arrived and been delivered. Another gentleman then appeared with a larger pack and placed it on the floor. I asked if this was all and the first gentleman was not convincing. I then got on all fours on the floor to check the labels and discovered after a few moments that they were marked 1/2 and 2/2 so determined that the two packs should contain all the parts. I said the same and then the photos and signing took place. It would have been so much easier if the delivery gentleman could have articulated that the total delivery was two packs and could have shown me the details on the labels rather than just stood there while I determined this for myself. As they were leaving at about 12:30 I said that they were lucky to find me in as I thought I was their final delivery of the day and they said that in fact I was.

Very disappointed with the showroom - don't bother

This review is specifically in respect of the Made showroom in Soho, London. My wife and I travelled there yesterday with a view to getting to actually see lots of the products they have and to order some much needed new furniture for our bedroom and our living room (not the bed or sofa as we already have these bought from elsewhere). We were very disappointed to find that there is only one room and a not particularly large one at that. There was very little actually on display (apparently their most popular products only) and we left in less than five minutes. It's okay if you don't have access to a PC and want to use one of the banks of machines available there to make an order but until the showroom is much bigger I would advise against bothering to visit it. Just make your purchases as usual and return them if you are not satisfied within the 14 days permitted.

Is your earlier response to my review actually accurate?

I received a response to my earlier review where you say I could register with the Royal Mail opt-out service to avoid your style of 'Occupier' correspondence in the future. However, I have just looked into this on the web and I can see the following explanation;

'To the Occupier' junk mail
The Door-to-Door Opt-Out stops mail items that don't include a postal address. It will therefore not necessarily stop mail with a generic addressee, such as 'To the Occupier' and 'To the Pizza Lover'.

To illustrate the point, items addressed to a generic addressee but without an address will be prevented by the Door-to-Door Opt-Out:

To the Occupier

However, items that do include an address will still be delivered:

To the Occupier
10 Downing Street
LONDON
SW1A 2AA

Is the above information correct and if it is, your advice about registering to opt out of your style of correspondence is inaccurate. Could you comment further please?

If you have received marketing addressed to 'The Occupier', please contact us to have this data removed.
If you have received marketing addressed to 'The Householder' we do not have your data on our system. I would recommend registering with Royal Mail’s ‘opt-out’ service to prevent receipt of mail which is not personally addressed to you.

Received an unsolicited letter addressed to 'Occupier' at my house. Will send them their pre-paid envelope back and shred the rest. Just use any of the free processes online such as the one provided by Which.
