disgraceful customer service I was on hold for 45 minutes waiting to speak to someone.
I had a phone call from panda a few months ago, they wanted to know if I wanted to shift to a different tariff as my bins hadn't been collected since May. The lady I spoke to was very nice and said since I hadn't had my bins collected they would wipe all the charges on my account and I would just have to pay per collection and a small monthly fee. I said I would need to think about it and she said to call back anytime. I phoned up last week and spoke to "tom" at the call centre and it was a totally different tune. He said I'd have to pay all the back charges etc which amount to a sizable sum. I said that since I haven't had my bins collected since May surely not.
He said it didn't matter and I'd have to pay the back charges as well which amount to almost €300 for nothing!! So I just called to try to cancel and guess what, Tom has told me that they need to call me as they don't have a cancelation method. They are like the mafia. Once you sign up you can't get out again. This is an absolute disgrace. Their customer service is inconsistent and shoddy. When you can get hold of their customer service. They must only have one or two operatives since I got the same person I spoke to last week. This is what happens when a company is taken over by a much bigger company.
UPDATE, They finally called me back, everything got sorted out and I am now on a pay as you go tariff which I think makes much more sense for me as I don't make much waste If I can fit 7 months waste into one bin collection. but they REALLY need to up their game with customer service because how many people have an hour to give to make a phone call these days?
