Terrible customer service.
I bought a gift card on a friend's wedding registry. She reached out and told me the code for the gift card wasn't working and encouraged me to get a refund. Zola refused to give me a refund because according to them 'the code was active and Zola doesn't do refunds for digital gift cards'. I even reached out to the retailer themselves. They also refused my refund. They're very sneaky and miserly.

You will NEVER be able to delete your profile. They will send you a form to complete. Once you submit the required information for deletion, it asks for an authorization code. You are then told the code will be email to you. You will never receive the code and you will never be able to delete your account. This is actually, a data collection scam.

If I could leave no stars I would. My experience with Zola was far from what I expected. The Communication with customer service was horrible and did not address my concerns. As a potential vendor I could never actually speak to someone about my concerns. I was directed to their calendar to make an appointment to speak to someone and was informed that they did not have any opening until next year. The emails and responses felt generic rather than tailored to my concerns. I would not recommend it to vendors seeking a dependable and transparent experience. This company is a joke, and I don't see how they can still be in business.

Great site until you want to withdraw your money. They will hold it for no reason then never get back to you. Absolutely zero reason for this

I am a victim of identity theft on this app. Someone created a fake wedding website using my full name and private photos, and Zola refuses to remove it. I have contacted them 8 times.
Their support is incompetent—they told me they can’t delete the fake page because it would be a "privacy violation" for the scammer. They are literally prioritizing a fraudster’s privacy over a victim’s safety. Zola’s "security" protocol is to ask the victim to log into the scammer's account to prove it's fraud. Absolute joke.

Our experience with Zola started out great, however we have 75 days until the wedding and Zola has been a nightmare to work with. I have called multiple times (escalated my requests) and emailed support like they tell you to do and they don’t respond. If you do get through, they’ll promise a call back with an update but you’ll never actually get a call. I wish I could take everything off of their site and use a different vendor because they are ruining my wedding experience. They conveniently wait to be a nightmare until after you release your registry. If I could go back in time I would have done more research and found out this seems to be a common experience.

Absolutely terrible customer service. Received our order and it contained quite a few invitations from another customer. Reached out to ask for immediate reprint and overnight shipping.

Also - envelope adhesive is very poor quality and would not stick. So we had to use tape to close them which looks terrible.

4 emails to their support address and nothing. Called the phone number and it states that they are not accepting calls, and to email.

This has put us in a terrible spot. Avoid this company like the plague.

Zola is a true scam. We signed up with our business for wedding, and not only they charged us for services never rendered, but also deliberately hid our business from their listing just because we refused to pay an extra fee for a storefront ad. A true scam.

Not trustworthy. The customer who ordered the gifts for a couple as a wedding gift will not be notified when the couple receives it. That is very fishy.

What a ridiculous site.

Sure, it’s fine to see whose in the wedding (I don’t really care) and to see when and where the wedding is, but the service is solely aimed at the couples, not the people spending a fortune to buy and send gifts through the site.

I ordered a gift for a couple in May 2025 and never heard if it was even sent. The wedding wasn’t until October, so I thought perhaps it wasn’t sent until just after the wedding, but here it is December and I had no idea if it was ever sent.

I contacted Zola and immediately received an AI-generated response inviting me to check their FAQs. Uh no — I want to know if MY purchase was ever shipped and I included the order number. A few days later I received a response from a human saying it had indeed been shipped and received way back in June.

I responded asking why I never received a notice of shipping, and AI comes back with another “check our FAQs” response. My response — STOP USING AI!!!

Finally, I received another human-generated email telling me they don’t provide shipping info to the purchaser for “the safety and privacy of the couple.”

Excuse me? I MADE THE PURCHASE. IT’S MY MONEY THAT HAS BEEN SPENT.

I will never use this site for wedding gifts again. It’s absolutely absurd not to notify the person who spent money on your site whether the item has been shipped or not.

(And yes, I understand that the bride and groom have dropped the ball as well.)

I had a very disappointing experience using Zola for my wedding invitations. We placed an expedited order with the understanding that the invitations would arrive by December 12, as we are having a last minute wedding and timing was critical.

When the invitations did not arrive by December 15, we contacted Zola to request an update and a refund for the expedited shipping. As of December 18, the invitations have still not arrived, and with the holidays approaching, there is no longer a reasonable window for us to send them out. This service has become completely unusable for its intended purpose.

Because of this delay, we wasted both time and money on a service that did not deliver what was advertised. While we did receive a partial refund, it does not adequately compensate for the inconvenience, stress, and failure to meet guaranteed delivery expectations.

I would not recommend using Zola for wedding invitations or any time sensitive event. Based on our experience, their expedited services are unreliable, and their handling of the issue was inadequate.

The worst thing is that once I canceled the monthly payment, I started receiving an enormous number of messages. I paid for the leads again, and the moment I paid, the messages stopped coming, and nobody from those earlier messages responded.
While I have booked some clients through this platform, I’ve noticed that about 90% of the leads were fake. They waste my time.

I made my account a long time ago with an old address. Many guests purchased gifts from my registry. When I clicked on ship now items immediately shipped to my old address. I wasted no time in sending an email asking them to fix it. But the time they were able to do something over two days had passed and all my gifts were shipped to an address I could no longer access.

I lost all my wedding presents and it could’ve been prevented if ZOLA could do the simple thing and cancel my orders — which apparently takes 3 or more days to do.

They ignore you as a vendor. Even their phone number to costumer service goes right to a voice mail. They do not care!

DO NOT USE IF OUTSIDE US.

Most functions outside the simple website not available. Zola not forthcoming in outlining this at the start. Avoid.

I would give them 0 stars if I could. Worst wedding website you could possibly go through. They messed up 120 of our “save the dates” and only gave us a partial refund for a negligent mistake they made. Not only did they ruin every single card but the quality of them are horrendous. I would’ve rather printed a picture of my beautiful fiancé and myself and glued it to a piece of cardboard with our wedding date written with a crayon. Absolutely disgusted with this company. I hope nobody else has to go through this before their special day.

What a terrible customer experience. A whole 12 years after my wedding they are refusing to take down my page. I even sent them my drivers license to prove my identity and they insist I send them my address and telephone number so they can sell it on to some data broker.
I have submitted a complaint to the UK government as they are blatantly not complying with UK data law, GDPR, or CCPA. I suggest others do the same!

Terrible experience. I placed an order worth $1200 and they canceled the order without even notifying me. Its all baby related products. When I called the customer service, all they had to say was we are sorry but we cannot fulfill your order.

I cannot believe a brand in todays day and age can have a response like this when an order worth $1200+ is placed on their website. Extremely disappointed, please DO NOT ORDER from Zola.
