Great experience so far with Zen Locums. I have been using them for some time now. I found the website easy to navigate for adding/amending/cancelling shifts. The account managers I have had have been good.
With regards to the calibre of locum, I rate them highly. With a very experienced team, they have encountered a wide mix of locums and so have a good base to compare, so when they give positive feedback about a locum, then it carries a lot of weight. Especially as it is they who have to work with the locum. So far, every locum from Zen has yielded good feedback from the team. This is quite an achievement.
Efficient Zen team member who was working out of hours on Friday was able to cover a last minute booking cancelation in less than an hour! I couldn't ask for a better service in that case.

What could they do differently to get 5/5?
Follow up on response to texts they have sent out.
On a few occasions they have sent out a message about e.g. a good Dispenser or Technician available to respond to if interested, which I have done, but then there is no further communication back. Quite unusual practice as I didn't solicit the information in the first place. I expect follow up a bit more promptly when dealing with or pending staffing requirements with the office.
There may be a reason for the radio silence but will be good to know e.g. due to holidays etc and also that they are working on requests.
Overall, great experience.
Keep up the good work and I will recommend them as a locum agency.

When locums come to the pharmacy, I have to ask them for ID. Some of them do not have IDs, just NHS smartcard. I need more than this ID to convince myslef that the correct offical locum is present. I hear the stories of false locums turning up at pharmacies across the UK

I like the locum booking platform. It is convenient and is great for the owner to book Locums and that they are also monitored by yourselves.

It would be nice to know how long the Licum has been qualified and the amount of experience they have. You then have an opportunity to decide whether the locum is worth the extra money or are you just paying a lot for someone to cover a shift that will need help and giid
