Your Appraisal Pros Omdömen

I've written 2 reviews for Appraisal Pros. 1 positive, 1 negative. This 3rd one is purely negative. I received a rebuttal from them on the 2nd, which stated "Overall, the vehicle is an excellent Runner and has great potential but does have some issues or blemishes that could be addressed. The vehicle is a good runner and is unique and of good quality for its rareness, but could definitely use some repairs and upgrades to maintain its quality and have lots of life for the future, with over 35 photos alone showing various issues." I can't help that you made an impulse buy without fully reviewing the report or reading the contents. I guess you can't make all the people happy all the time."
I took delivery of the vehicle on 8/5/26. Since then I have done nothing but work on it trying to make it road worthy. I've 35 miles on it, and that was round trip to the DMV for inspection and registration. It failed inspection for multiple reasons. I soon discovered the engine has a real bad rod knock and needs a complete rebuild. The inspection report from Appraisal Pros stated, " Overall the vehicle is an excellent runner". What BS. I firmly believe the Appraisal Pros inspector was in cahoots with the dealer, Muscle Cars For Sale Inc. in Fort Myers Fl. Stay away from both of these businesses. Wish there was a way I could get my money back.

Shawn was very nice and professional. I was pleased with how easy the process was. He was very detailed with the appraisal and I thank him for being so nice and patient. I would recommend him to anyone looking for these services. Thanks again Shawn.

True professionals, very experienced, and GREAT people to work with. I highly recommend!

Very easy to get scheduled. Thorough review and excellent communication throughout the entire process. Can't recommend enough.

Shawn is a great person, respectful, honest, and highly professional. He worked tirelessly on our claim and dealt directly with the at fault party's insurance company on our behalf.

When the other party's insurance company became unresponsive and essentially ghosted us, we decided to proceed through our own insurance carrier to obtain the fair market value for our vehicle. Since liability had already been determined to be 100% the other party's fault, our insurance company stepped in and will seek reimbursement from the at fault carrier.

Throughout the process, Shawn continued to advocate for us. He contacted our insurance company, negotiated the fair market value of our vehicle, and achieved an excellent outcome after countless rounds of discussions and negotiations.

I highly recommend Shawn to anyone seeking an honest vehicle evaluation or appraisal. He knows how to effectively negotiate with insurance companies and help ensure you receive a fair settlement rather than accepting a lowball offer.

Thank you, Shawn, for representing me and my family throughout this process. We truly appreciate the professionalism, respect, and dedication you showed us every step of the way. Your knowledge, persistence, and commitment made a difficult situation much easier to navigate, and we are grateful for everything you did for us.

I rarely leave negative reviews or reviews at all for that matter, but others need to know how this business operates. I paid Shawn $459, through his PAYPAL invoice, for a pre-purchase vehicle inspection in Northern California. He failed to find an inspector, so I requested a refund for services never rendered. Over two months, I faced constant excuses, delays, and poor communication. Shawn falsely claimed he vetted three vehicles; in reality, he only commented briefly on links I sent, and zero inspections occurred. He eventually refunded only $150, keeping $309 after stating he would refund me if he was unable to locate an inspector. After trying to resolve this privately, I filed a small claims lawsuit. Shawn failed to appear in court and judgment was ruled in my favor after informing the court of the issue. I am now working with an attorney to enforce this judgment against American Classic Appraisal LLC via an order of examination. While the remaining balance isn't life-changing, this is a matter of basic business integrity. He may have good reviews on this platform, but my experience was defined by limited service, broken promises, and legal non-compliance.

Follow up: Interesting reply considering your yelp reply on this same issue. Here is what you said, "We went through 3 vehicles for you in our search and provided guidance all the way through. We weren’t able to inspect the last one in the time you asked for and you wanted a full refund even though we had spent hours in conversation and messages in your search. I wish you luck in finding your vehicle but I’m definitely glad that you won’t be using us."
Does that ring a bell??? Which story do you want to stick with?? Also, text and receipts don't lie, I have everything saved which was presented to the court as evidence. Nice try making up a story that I was the seller and reaching out to Trustpilot for trying to get my post removed.

SHAME ON YOU!

Update: Shawn and I have very different views of the inspection that was carried out and of our conversations about the vehicle. I was an over- exuberant buyer…and that’s on me. The only way I would use this business or any other inspection business would be to go with the inspector in person. Would never again buy a vehicle without laying my eyes on it. The vehicle I bought is costing me at least $15,000+ to get in running condition just so I can sell it at a huge loss. Live and learn.

Shawn and team did an excellent job and made me feel better about buying a vehicle that I can't see in person. They set up the inspection, and it was completed within two days. I feel they went above and beyond -- Shawn even helped me think through my offer and sent me an appraisal for my insurance company. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Richard was great he appraised my f150 that I did a lot of work on to get where it’s at . Thank you so much

They did a great job going out of their way. Spending extra time to find comparables for the appraisal on my rare 1947 Buick super convertible restomod
I appreciated the business and are great to work with especially anybody with rare cars

Great service. You’ll be happy with the service and professionalism in dealing with Shawn. A trusted partner in protecting your Classic Car Investment. 👍

Shawn, great guy can be relied on, does what he says. I appreciate his assistance assisting me during my efforts of purchasing a vehicle. I will call on him again to assist with vehicle purchase or sale. Thank you.

Great service, trustworthy, and quick communication. They had my appraisal done within a couple of hours!

I was looking all over for an appraiser found American classic appraisers online called them he answered on the first ring told me what I had to do and within 24 hours my car was appraised the right way, I'm all the way in California and he's in Kentucky they made it happen

Shawn did an inspection on a car for me located several hours away. The car didn’t turn out as the seller stated, so I had to pass on it. That inspection saved me lots of grief and money. Shawn and his team are A+.

Shawn is an awesome appraiser and went above and beyond haggling with my insurance company. He never stopped pursuing until we got a settlement we both felt was fair. Not a single complaint from using him, from start to finish Shawn’s communication and dedication was on point for the entirety of the process. Can definitely recommend using him, will definitely use again in the future if needed! Thanks again Shawn!

I was shopping for a classic Mustang for a couple years. Once I found one that met my must haves, I knew I wanted to have it professionally inspected first. I contacted American Classic Appraisals and knew this was a good decision when the phone was answered by the owner, Shawn. He actually made the 6-hour drive to inspect the car personally. What a great experience that gave me peace that I had finally found THE CAR for me! He even provided an appraisal for my insurance needs. A great experience from start to finish. Excellent communication. Always answered phone calls and returned texts within minutes. I definitely recommend calling Shawn before you buy!

Shawn and his team at American Classic Appraisals did an outstanding job on my inspection. From start to finish, the experience was excellent.

Shawn was extremely personable, super friendly, and clearly very knowledgeable. He took the time to walk through everything in detail and made sure all of my questions were answered. His team thoroughly reviewed every item I asked for and went above and beyond what I expected.

Most importantly, the inspection gave me the confidence and confirmation I needed to move forward with my Jeep CJ7 purchase. The report was detailed, professional, and easy to understand, and the communication throughout the process was top-notch.

I would absolutely recommend Shawn and American Classic Appraisals to anyone looking for a thorough, trustworthy, and professional inspection, especially for classic vehicles.

Incredible customer service, and genuine people, went above and beyond for my appraisal!

Shawn’s services and guidance was seamless and efficient! Timely responses and clear communication. We appreciate all the help and would definitely recommend American Classic Appraisals to our friends and family! Thank you.

I’d tell anyone considering the purchase of a vehicle to enlist the services and expertise of SHAWN to guide them. I’ve been messing with cars, trucks, motorcycles, etc. for around 50 years. Yet he examines vehicles in a more in-depth manner than I’d ever be knowledgeable of.
The relatively modest fee charged is not money wasted at all. Whether Shawn uncovers items that lead you to walk away from a purchase OR his investigation(s) bolster your confidence to purchase, IT’S MONEY VERY WELL SPENT. His mantra of “I work for you” is one he genuinely operates by and his friendly, courteous personality makes the whole process more pleasant. Use Shawn to get the RIGHT vehicle for you…just like he’s done for me!
