Yeo Valley Omdömen 

I have been a loyal purchaser of Yeo Valley Natural Bio Yoghurt for years - I probably buy one 1Kg tub every fortnight. Sometime last year (2022), Yeo Valley quietly reduced the amount of yoghurt they put in these tubs from 1KG to 950gms. The tub and labels stayed the same - the only thing that changed was the weight numbers - located at the bottom of one of the side panels. How long had I been buying my Yeo Valley yoghurt, thinking I was getting 1Kg when I was actually now getting 950gms? I can't answer that - because when you buy a product regularly, who checks to see if the weight has changed when everything else looks the same? What I can say is it was a very underhand way to cut costs on their behalf .

4 x2L containers of semi skimmed milk full of slime in disgusting strings. Unsatisfactory reply from Yeo valley. Vouchers for less than cost and unusable in most supermarkets or Ocado which supplied the milk.

Disappointed that you've stopped providing reusable lids. Makes you think Yeo Valley just removed lids to make more profit. A scam really.

Having read other reviews I am not happy about the dishonesty regarding company ownership. I have also noticed the yoghurt is more watery lately. As fir the plastic lids if using less plastic was true that could be good, but what about the rest of the container and the plastic tops with a Yeoken code. As for saving these yeokens I find them a waste of time as mostly the deal is to get you to spend money with one of their 'partners'. They just get worse all the time. Going to get another brand in future.

I buy 3/4 packs a week and love the product itself. However it has become impossible to store since they have removed the lids! It’s good to try and reduce the plastic footprint but they have just dumped on the consumer the task to find a way to store the yoghurt once it’s open, saving cost in the meantime. For a short while they offered recyclable lids but have now stopped with no plan to restock. This blatant cost saving is nothing to be “proud” of, rather blatant cost saving with the greenwashing pretence of being eco-friendly ! If they don’t fix it soon I’ll move to another brand as I don’t like having open yoghurt in my fridge…

We are constantly, constantly being misled by these companies. Just found out that Yeo Valley doesn't actually own its branded milk or butter, and is actually owned by a company called "Arla". Who are absolute scoundrels.

Love this yoghurt and that it’s organic. Personally I was hoping and expecting that the plastic lids would be dropped to reduce plastic. I noticed other companies had done the same so I kept a few disposable lids back and this is what I use. Thanks Yeo Valley

As regular consumers of the Kefir yogurt we have collected (more than) the requisite number tops to qualify for plastic top covers. We now learn that the company has no stock and no intention of obtaining stocks of these lids, announced with such fanfare when they decided to cease supplying covers with the pots of yogurt. Obviously a nice little earner. We are disappointed with the company’s betrayal and as a matter of principle, much as we have liked the product, will now cease to buy it.

Like many people reviewing on the website, I too am complaining about the absence of a lid on their yogurt pots. I've bought these Yogurt pots for years and always been 'happy' with the product, notwithstanding that fruit can be present or absent at the will of Yeo Valley.
In the last year or so the price has increased quite dramatically, but occasionally Morisson's have them on offer, so I dip my yogurt when the offer is on. For some months now they have been bragging about their saving of 145 tonnes of plastic each year, by the removal of their 'Clip Lids'. Not to worry though, you can get a reusable lid from their website. For months I've managed with foil wrapped around the half empty tub, but decided I really must get one of their 'free' reusable lids, as you just have to sign into their website to get one. Not so easy Sherlock. First of all they do not have any, but more were coming; but you have to register to get one. Painful, but o/k. I put in my details but it wouldn't accept my password as it was too weak. I'm only applying for a reusable plastic lid, not a bank account. I improve my password, receive my conformation e-mail and activate my account, but guess what, NO lids available and what's more they are not ordering any more.
I see that nobody at Yeo Valley realised how many reusable lids they would require. They have obviously underestimated the cost of supplying the reusable lids in comparison to the saving they were expecting from removing clip lids and the extra bonus of the green credentials that they could claim whilst doing so, so now they have just stopped supplying them. Instead, they now advise you how you can seal your half empty pot, with bee's wax paper or something similar. Yes, I've always got some of this in the my cupboard.
Had Yeo Valley advertised the fact that they were planning to stop their clip lids, then their customers might have had the wit and opportunity to wash and keep some of the old clip lids for future use, instead of washing and putting them in the recycling bin; but to stop putting them on with a proud message about how much plastic or cows you are saving, seems a dereliction of common sense.
In response, I will be joining similar minded people by taking Yeo Valley products off of my shopping list.

I fully support the decision to stop single use lids. However, this is a pointless exercise if the reusable lids are not available.

If the company can't provide reusable lids, they should provide a suitable alternative.

Plus, the less said about the price, which has doubled over the past year, the better...

YOGHURT: Excellent whole milk plain organic yoghurt, the best, been buying it for years. Versatile. Keeps unopened way beyond sell by. Low carb breakfast or snack. Dilute with water or soda water to make lassi; add a teaspoon of jam if you feel like it; great for coating fish; dressing for pickled herring; add a little cream and some fruit for dessert; brighten up mushroom soup or curry; .... on and on! Can't be bothered with the yeokens though, don't understand them.
MILK: Moo Organic Whole UHT is our go to, we buy a few dozen a month. Hart to find so we have to order from Ocado. Hard to get the last 20ml out of the carton withoutt snipping a hole in it.

Well I saved up my tokens to get a reusable yoghurt pot lid - and guess what, they've sold their entire stock and are not intending to get any more in.

I hate having pots without lids in my fridge and on my table. The yoghurt can be spilled or get contaminated (we have a celiac in the family and keeping food separate and uncontaminated is already a challenge). I was happy to save tokens to get a permanent lid - but I have saved the tokens and they have removed the option to get a lid! Great!!

Making the yoghurt pots unsealable is a great way to lose customers.

But don’t then make it ridiculously difficult and frustrating to get a reusable lid! First they were out of stock. Then you have to create a Yeo account, verify the account (honestly the concept of doing this for a yoghurt company is hilarious), provide your contact details, find where on the website to go to order it (good luck…) and after all that you can’t even use real money to buy a lid! You have to spend 40 “yeokens” which means you have to buy 4 tubs of yoghurt - that don’t come with lids - so you can scan the code in.

Stupid. Really really stupid. Whoever thought up this system needs a lesson in common sense. Basil Fawlty couldn’t have messed it up more.

I bought Yeo valley organic natural yogurt which has increased in price by more than 50% and to my surprise the yogurt was not as thick as it used to be. It seemed to be water down and runny. I will not be buying this product again.

Used to buy Veo Valley Rhubarb Yoghurt as an occasional treat

Last tub BB 12th march Rubbish. Poor flavour, more synthetic than real Rhubarb, and virtually no actual Rhubarb content

Why use rapeseed oil ( which is inflammatory) in an organic butter ? Could you use olive oil instead ?

Cheeky cheats reduced their yoghurt sizes from 500g to 450g hoping people won't notice. Also lack of lids is just a way to make profit also. Won't buy again.

Re Yeo tokens. Extra 500 tokens if you register a number of different products by 20 Feb. Only had cheese left to get but not available from retailers except via Ocado. Customer Service non existent. Emailed twice and rang twice to ask about this but no response. Plus as others say - products not as good as they previously were and as more expensive and YeoTokens not really worth it, have given up buying their products now.

My elderly brother needed a 'free' reusable lid for his yogurt, Ive been checking the website for weeks and at last they have some in. I presumed it would be easy to do online! I found I needed to register to get this 'free' lid, so I registered on behalf of my brother. Then I saw that to get a 'free' lid it needed 40 tokens! So its not a 'free' lid after all. Basically if you arent on the internet the tokens are useless! and you cant get a reusable lid!

Where is the yoghurt?
This is the first time I have purchased Yeo Kefir yoghurts and it will be the last. I purchased a four pack Yeo Kefir yoghurt and as I was placing it in the fridge I could see through the pot that they were 1/2 and 3/4 full. Why do I feel I have been cheated? Why do I feel I have been exploited? I have yet to open and taste the yoghurt. I am tired buying products which are inadequate. Does the production/shift supervisor monitor these products? How do they get out of the factory? Do not blame Brexit, the economy crisis or a one off instance and please do not say the pot contains the correct measurement because if they do you are wasting money buying large pots you do not need. Please do not think your customers are fools. I could place two of these yoghurts together and get one. Your inadequate product will back fire and implode on you as customers will not buy your product as often and if this happens do not blame anyone but yourself.
