Being able to speak to a human at the building society and not online was a pleasant change. The two ladies I spoke to in Barnsley were very helpful and informative, which made my decision to take out an ISA an easy decision.

The staff were prompt and helpful
The staff were prompt and helpful. I was given a direct phone number for the local branch, so could get an issue sorted without having to go through a call centre. I would have given 5 stars, except that we had opened a bond and gone straight to our bank to transfer money into it. Eight days later the money was still in our current account, having been returned as we'd sent it too quickly, before all checks had been completed. It would have been helpful to have had this communicated to us, as we had to then rush to resend it before the bond closed.
