Server came up and when the attack was started directly down.

Worldstream has been the kind of server/network vendor that you don't even think to review. In fact, sometimes you might forget they're even there. I rarely have to login. I rarely have to remember that I'm even a customer. It works, it stays online, it's just a quiet winner all around.

I would like to formally express my serious concerns regarding your company’s policies and recent service experience. First and foremost, I find your KYC requirements excessive and unreasonable. I do not understand why it is mandatory to complete KYC verification before being able to purchase services. I placed an order, and even after more than five hours, there was no progress on the server setup. Upon inquiry, I was informed that although I had completed my personal KYC, my business KYC was still pending, and therefore my order could not be processed. This situation is particularly disappointing because the payment has already been collected, and I have been told that the amount will be refunded only after deducting certain fees. This is highly unprofessional. Furthermore, I would like to highlight that I am not a new customer. I have been associated with worldstream platform for the past 8–10 years and currently maintain multiple servers with this company. Despite this long-standing relationship, I am being subjected to the same stringent requirements without any consideration of my history. I am also uncomfortable providing extensive personal documentation, especially given the current global concerns regarding data privacy and misuse. In the unfortunate event that my information is compromised, it is unclear who would be held accountable.
It is equally concerning that such strict requirements appear to disproportionately affect clients from certain regions, particularly Asia. Instead of placing excessive burden on customers, service providers and data centers should ensure they are properly certified and compliant with global standards to build trust and credibility.
With great disappointment, I must state that I cannot recommend worldstream services based on this experience

We’re sorry to hear this situation left you disappointed, especially given your long relationship with Worldstream.

To clarify: before we can activate or provision new services, we are required to complete identity and business verification (KYC/KYB). If this verification is not finalized, we are legally unable to deliver additional services. This applies to all customers, including long-term clients.

As we did not receive the required verification at the time, we were unfortunately unable to proceed with the new server delivery until the process was completed.

Regarding your comment about refund deductions: we have reviewed the case and could not find any communication stating that fees would be withheld. Our policy is clear — when we are unable to deliver a server, the full amount paid is refunded. A full refund was issued for the orders in question.

We understand that sharing documentation can feel uncomfortable, particularly given global concerns about data privacy. However, KYC/KYB verification is a legal requirement for infrastructure providers. Without the necessary documentation, we cannot finalize verification or continue provisioning new services. All submitted information is handled under strict security and data protection standards.

Our TechCare team has already reached out to you to assist further. As this involves account-specific details, we cannot discuss them publicly here. We encourage you to continue the conversation directly so we can resolve this properly.

Meest onbetrouwbare partij ooit

Meest onbetrouwbare partij ooit. Versturen op zondag een (eerste!) betalingsherinnering, en trekken op maandagochtend de stekker uit je server. Het gaat om een bedrag van €100, maar ze berokkenen je tienduizenden euro's schade. Geen telefoontje, mailtje of wat dan ook. Zo ga je niet met je klanten om. Wij gaan na de eerste maand weg, en ik raad ieder ander aan om hier niet eens aan te beginnen.

Wat vervelend om te lezen dat dit zo is gelopen. We begrijpen dat een (tijdelijke) onderbreking grote impact kan hebben en dat betreuren we.

Dit is ontstaan door een geautomatiseerd facturatie- en opvolgproces waarbij vooraf automatisch factuur- en herinneringsberichten worden verstuurd en na het verstrijken van de betaaltermijn automatisch een blokkade kan volgen. We hebben dit inmiddels met u besproken en een uitzondering ingesteld zodat uw diensten bij een eventuele toekomstige vertraging niet automatisch worden geblokkeerd.

Als compensatie hebben we uw lopende periode kosteloos verlengd. Mocht u dit verder willen bespreken, dan staan we via support voor u klaar.

Today I experienced what exceptional customer service truly means. My VPN service with 19,000 active clients went completely down on Saturday due to my administrative mistake - I missed the KYC verification deadline.
Our entire database was inaccessible, backups weren't working, and Monday would have meant the end of my business.

Randy, a TechCare Engineer, went far beyond his job responsibilities. On a Saturday evening, when the Trust & Safety department wasn't working, he personally reached out to their supervisor and escalated my case as critical.

Worldstream is a cost effective solution.

Worldstream is actually awesome and helps when Canadian servers are to costly plus gets me a nice connection and reliable system. I would suggest hiring them for Co-location or other things server related. Helpful ticketing system and no ridiculous calls to tech support numbers needed or to wait on hold for a support again from a Canadian ISP to be told its my hardware. Instead they help, and I like that the most.
