New Kitchen Fitted
Had kitchen fitted by Ian Simmons and team. Excellent work with no hassle. Thank you still to have hob put in.thanks to Balvinder Jassel design consultant for help with small problem.
Lockdown kitchen!
We decided to change our kitchen during lockdown! And thank goodness it all worked out REALLY well.
We did our own measurements and rough plan then had virtual meetings with Jenny, and between us, decided upon a kitchen plan.
When regulations changed, we were able to go into the Bicester branch, meet with Jenny and finalise our choices. We were able to bring home a sample of worktop and cupboard door to check colours.
We chose the option of using the finance available to pay - meaning we have a year before paying Wikes and then we gave the choice of how to pay . (We did have to pay directly for specialist works).
Then we had a visit from the surveyor who confirmed measurements and details of fitting and work to be done.
We can’t speak highly enough of the kitchen fitter, Adam, from Tollgates, Bicester. We had a courtesy call the evening before he was due, to let us know what time to expect him. He arrived by 7.30 am everyday, abided by social distancing and consulted us on everything.
All the other workmen arrived when expected and did a high level of work, again consulting us about what we were expecting.
We had one item to return ( decided not to use the splash back behind the hob), which was refunded without a problem.
The work was finished in less than 5 days.
From inception to completion was approx 11 weeks!
We are thrilled with every detail and would not hesitate to recommend Wikes Bicester Branch!
Love my kitchen!!
Friends thought I was mad getting a new kitchen as my last one looked good, but now I have my new kitchen they all agree it’s now amazing.
Peter B from Muswell Hill branch did a really great job of designing the space, and gave me loads of options whilst bearing in mind my fairly strict budget constraints.
Darren R fitted my kitchen in 5 days with just the worktops arriving separately as were
Made to measure. I am super paranoid about mess and dust. I came home after a week and the flat was really clean and pretty much dust free. Darren also has brilliant attention to detail and kept me up to date throughout, but also handled all the day to day issues (and a few changes I made along the way) himself.
I’ve bought 5 kitchens from various suppliers. Had a terrible experience with Moben. My last kitchen 10 years ago was from wikes and it looked good but fitting wasn’t great, but now I’ve used them again and had such a great experience I would definitely remind them
Believe me - I’m very hard to please - but I’m
Really happy! Thanks Peter and Darren!

I ordered some decking to be delivered
I ordered some decking to be delivered, the delivery lorry turned up on the day it said it would, but had no decking on board, the next day they turned up with just 2planks! I went to the local Wicked and spoke to a manager about this, he told me he would get customer services to contact me, 4 days and no contact, I rang them myself, after 20attempts I got through to someone, they told me it was coming direct from the supplier, they said they would contact them and then get back to me, 4days no contact again, I phoned again, another 20 minutes to get through, they were very unhelpful, just saying that it was coming direct from the supplier, so I said but I payed you the money, not the supplier so can you find out where my delivery is? In the end I asked for a full refund because of the inconvenience of it all, (I haven't been able to get into my garden for over a week now), they said they would apply for a refund, I asked for them to send me an e-mail to confirm this, they said they would but they haven't! Very annoyed with their shoddy attitude and unhelpfulness, I will not be buying from wicked ever again

Massive thank to Karen Byrne and Wikes…
Massive thank to Karen Byrne and Wikes Birkenhead
We have just recently moved house. In our previous house we had a kitchen and a bathroom both designed supplied and installed be Wikes.
We were that delighted with Karen who made the whole experience run smoothly from start to finish. We therefore had no hesitation in contacting Karen again at to request her expert advise.
Karen is always polite and professional and offers very valuable advise on how best to layout the room to best suit the needs of myself and my husband.
As being disabled and pensioners, the layout that she recommended has assisted us no end with the comfort of using our new kitchen.
Kev and Jack the installers were both exceptional, very professional and tidy when completing the installation.
I would have no hesitation in recommending Karen Byrne and Wikes Birkenhead installation service to anyone.
A massive thanks again from Beryl and John Rigby.
Kitchen design from start to finish was…Kitchen design
Kitchen design from start to finish was very professionally done ,Thanks Haley
Lovely kitchen, poor fitter
We had a Wickes kitchen installed in January 2019. I initially visited my local Wickes store in Bournemouth. Staff there were extremely helpful. I was booked in for a home visit by a design consultant who designed our kitchen. We did not require anything too complicated. No plumbing or appliances needed to be moved around and the cupboards were staying in the same place so we believed it to be a very straightforward installation. We were booked in quickly and were very happy with the price and all the arrangements.
We then had a visit from the kitchen fitter, he completed a pre-installation survey which took about 15 minutes, we agreed a price for the extras and we were booked in for our kitchen to be installed.
Things then started to go wrong:
The kitchen fitter’s timekeeping was awful, we are very easy going and arranged for him to have a key, he barely put in a full days work, having to start late or leave early because of personal commitments. One day he did not turn up at all. He found jobs which had not come up on his original survey which he wanted to charge us extra for. One of the extras he did not consult us about and expected us to pay for We had to argue this as it was for moving a socket which we did not want or need. It was agreed that we did not have to pay for this work.
He put us in the awkward position of asking for an advance on his payment (we had originally agreed to pay on completion).
The fitter asked if he could have our old gas cooker, I had arranged for a local charity to collect it but I agreed to the fitter taking it as he was going to give it to his sister and it meant that I would not have to wait in for the charity to collect it so this suited me. A few days after he took it I found it for sale on Gumtree which is not what I agreed to. After a lot of phone calls and emails the fitter agreed to return the cooker but it took a few weeks for this to happen and it was simply dumped on my drive whilst I was at work.
Our kitchen, which is very small took 10 days to install, it really should have only taken 5 days and we were very inconvenienced especially as we were left with no working kitchen over a weekend. I felt very uncomfortable around the kitchen fitter as our relationship broke down over the misunderstanding over the cooker. I had to ask for my keys back several times.
The tiling was sub-contracted out and the job was appalling. Our “badly plastered” walls were blamed but the walls were never mentioned in the survey. If they had been we would have been willing to pay for a skim to correct the problems. Wickes have since refunded the cost of the tiling.
Once the kitchen was completed we were waiting for the electrics to be signed off, we had a surprise visit from our fitter on Sunday evening, he told us the electrics could not be signed off until further work costing £80 was completed.
During the installation we complained to the store several times, we asked to speak to the installation manager but he never contacted us. We submitted a formal complaint and finally the installation manager agreed to come and see us. He did little to reassure me and was a little arrogant.
In summary, the store, design consultant and quality of the kitchen is faultless. I would 100% recommend that you DO NOT use Wickes kitchen fitters, source your own and get references. Who knows where Wickes find their fitters, when things go wrong they very much distance themselves from the fitters, stating that they are self employed and any agreements or problems that you have are with them and nothing to do with Wickes. This is not made clear at the design part of the process and it would appear that once they have your money they no longer care.
My new kitchen should have been an exciting experience but it was very stressful and it has taken many months for me to reflect on the experience and write this review. I have yet to step foot in a Wickes store since and doubt that I ever will now. This is a shame as the kitchen (with the exception of the tiling) is lovely but the bad experience during the fitting leaves a very bad memory.
Very please with finished result
I am delighted with my new kitchen from Wikes. From design, through delivery to fitting everything went smoothly and to plan. Anthony Brown from Wikes Chorley designed the kitchen perfectly for my requirements and Darren Grunshaw the fitter was excellent, friendly and efficient he obviously takes pride in his work therefore paying great attention to detail. Overall a stress free experience even though my apartment was cluttered for a couple of weeks but well worth it.
Customer service is close to none…
Customer service is close to none existent !
Things go wrong, thats a fact of life however it is how companies respond when they do.
I ordered 22 post boxes from Wikes which would have to come direct from the supplier.
I was informed that I would be contacted to arrange a delivery date within 5 working days.
Issue number 1 - This never happened and a delivery was made regardless.
It is only by shear luck that anyone was in.
After installing these a various locations for my customer I found that one box was missing a key.
I emailed Wikes - 3 days later no response.
Still waiting for one.
I connected to chat and made my complaint about the delivery issue, the key and the lack of response from email.
They said they would have to contact the supplier and I would get a replacement in the next 5 working days.
I never heard anything back - Still waiting.
I sent an email to complaints.
Adding even more details about the growing list of issues and complaints.
Heard nothing back. - Still waiting to this day.!
Got on to Facebook chat - Went through it ALL again.
Got asked for the key code.
They said a new one would be sent from supplier.
It was.
Not had any replies to any of my other emails of complaints.
This put me in a very awkward position with my customer but I at least dealt with it in a professional manner!
I have now to go back to my customers at my own cost and time expense.
I would not be surprised and to be quite honest they would deserve it if Wikes went out of business.
You screwed up Wikes and not one of your employees took ownership of this.
Beautiful New Wikes Kitchen Installed .
We have just had a beautiful new kitchen installed on 6/12/19 by Wikes from their milton range, complete with all nef appliance with quartz work surfaces, designed by Michael Hutchinson from Wikes Wallsend Silverlink site.
Having approached local companies for quotes, Michael came up with the best design for our newly extended kitchen dining area, and from initial enquiry through to install, he has provided an excellent service, which together with the Wikes kitchen fitting team lead by John, resulted in a stress free and seamless new kitchen installation. I cant thank Michael or John enough for pulling out all the stops to install our kitchen within the agreed time frame, which means we can now enjoy a family christmas in our beautiful new kitchen dining area. The whole Wikes experience has been truly exceptional, thank you.

Online delivery service abysmal.
Delivery arranged did not turn up, delivery rearranged, did not turn up. Tried to arrange delivery again - no slots available because van had already left.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS -use your local timber/builders merchant instead.
Avoid!
I decided to use Wikes for a new bathroom. Gordon, the bathroom designer came to my house, measured up and discussed the project. I then visited the store a few days later to look at his design and discuss the cost etc. I liked what I saw and the price was OK. He explained that I would pay Wikes for the fittings and standard installation and the 'Finishing touches' would be paid directly to the fitter assigned to my project - that would be basically tilling (after I had sourced and purchased the tiles) and estimated this additional cost at £749 I paid on the day. The chosen fitter arrived a couple of weeks later and I was surprised that he wasn't local - 25 miles away - and sent me a quotation for the additional work. I was unhappy to see that it was at least twice what Wikes had said and seem to include things that should have been included in the basic fit out cost. I emailed Wikes and queried this the weekend before Christmas but heard nothing back. I emailed again after Christmas and was told that my money had been refunded and the order cancelled. When I asked for some feed back as to why a fitter 25 miles away had been used and the cost had doubled, I was met with silence from both the designer and the store manager. Terrible customer service.
Great new kitchen
Having been let down by B&Q for kitchen installation We approached Wickes. We were a little reluctant at first as we felt initially that the company was less professional and more geared towards trade customers. How wrong we were..Andrew in the showroom reassured us from the outset. He took care of the design listening to what we required, suggesting and possible improvements that we hadn’t considered, we then met Andy who oversaw the installation process and made some minor changes he also organised when other tradesmen needed to be brought in without delay. The work carried out by Ethan and Josh along side Andy was done to a high standard. The work was very clean and tidy all the way through the process, Andy arranged for rubbish to be removed. After two weeks upheaval it was worthwhile for the kitchen and utility room that I now have.
Unacceptable delivery date changes without prior notification.
I had purchased materials in-store and agreed a delivery date. However on the due date , part of the order was delivered by a contract courier company ( whose service, pre-texting, and personal assistance were excellent) the driver then pointed out to me , a hand written addendum on the delivery note that the remaining part of my order would not be arriving as agreed but two days later. I contacted the despatching branch whose initial response was that to have made delivery on the agreed date was...'inconvenient' to them . Further conversation with several staff gave no real sense whatsoever that they had any understanding of the difficulties i was in ,nor that it was unreasonable of the company to not inform me before hand that a delivery could not be made. .Wickes had had two weeks between order and delivery yet did not see fit to alert me before time of this situation , believing that the notification on the previously agreed date was acceptable. I will go out of my way in future to aviod using this firm for future projects . The service and attitude of the company and most staff was totally unacceptable.
Not the sharpest tools in the box.
Tried two cc orders this weekend both failed due to items incorrectly showing as available online when in fact the stores did not have them. Found the staff at Darlington branch to be unhelpful and incompetent, still awaiting refund as the sales assistant refused to look into it while I was in store because I had contacted customer services. Will not use this branch again.
Poor service from start
Poor service from the start; purchased items online and were informed transaction was not processed, only to be charged 5 times for the one order. On receipt of goods, more than half the order was of poor quality and not fit for purpose as well as items missing. Attempted to resolve but calls were not returned. Finally arranged to have these collected and no collection turned up on day planned. Also no re-delivery was received for the missing items on the day planned. Still unresolved over a week and a half later.
Terrible customer service
I ordered the product and paid for next day delivery and was pleased it came the next day, except the 8 foot tube it was in was empty! I immediately phoned customer service and they were very apologetic and said they would resend it and as a gesture of good will would not charge delivery. When it didn't arrive after 3 days I phoned and emailed and eventually got an email back saying that they had only received the internal email 4 days after and that the item would be despatched and I would get it 1 whole week after alerting Wicks of the problem. I find this unbelievable that the item "disappeared", that it took so long to send a replacement and in customer services 'the right hand didn't know what the left hand was doing' I've had to do the review on TrustPilot as the Wickes feedback site only lets you review the product and not the overall experience which makes me think that this is an on going problem that they don't like to talk about!
