Wickes - Sunderland Omdömen 

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ On 21/8/26 After visiting 10 hardware stores looking for a durable, affordable wheelbarrow, I found exactly what I needed at Wickes Sunderland. Jaz was warm, friendly, and incredibly helpful. She found me a better-value option than I expected. A real asset to Wickes and a great example of world-class customer service!

Went to look at kitchens at Wickes in Sunderland with my neighbour Ann who needed a kitchen.
She had been to see kitchens at other stores they were not helpful.
Saw staff member Gordon who works at Wickes . Gordon took time to help, he answered all the questions she had.
Also worked out the cost of what she needed.Gordon was so helpful she asked to make sure he was available, after she saw her husband. Went back to the store the next day, saw Gordon put her order in for the kitchen. I have never know a person take so much time out to help a customer like Gordon. We praised him, he just said always here to help.
Wickes Sunderland staff member Gordon was absolutely lovely, if l ever need anything l would certainly see Gordon.

After finally choosing my colour I popped to wicks at pennywell Sunderland, the emulsion i wanted wasn't on the shelf however they had just had a delivery, Alex who works there raked threw the pallet on shop floor and it wasn't there so he very kindly went into the store room and raked the pallets and found the colour I wanted, some stores or some staff would of made you pop back later in the day but Alex kindly went out of his way for me.
Well done Alex very appreciated and very grateful you went above and beyond. One happy customer thanks to Alex 👏🙏☺️

DO NOT USE WICKES FOR KITCHENS OR BUILDING MATERIALS.

Used to fit electrics in Wickes kitchens- constantly damaged kitchen units and worktops, wrong items (doors, handles worktops).
They have not got any better, totally inadequate and cannot give an honest explanation.
This time a simple delivery- a bulk bag of sharp sand.
Checked online and got confirmation that Wickes had sand in store and next day delivery available. Went in store to make order but do not stock the sand in Sunderland store and no next day delivery but in 3 days. Not a problem. Gave Wickes the delivery address and paid.
Sand delivered to my home address/billing address not the delivery address. Full day labour gone, now £240 out of pocket. Thank you Wickes.
Went in store to see what has gone wrong.
I'm told it's the 'Hiab company' fault, the 'systems' fault, the Wickes 'app' fault.
Two checkout tills adjacent to each other apparently giving different information- one has the correct delivery address, the other my home address/wrong delivery address.
Then it's the card machine's fault for the wrong delivery because instead of paying contactless I entered my pin number manually (which I had to because it was over £100).
I'm then told because I didn't pay online where I had to enter my 4-digit security code (had to correct Lesley the '35 years experienced' Wickes worker that it's a 3-digit pin security code on the back) and this was the reason for the wrong delivery address. Hmmmm.... so it's my fault all along.
Total of 5 different reasons why the delivery address is wrong. Wickes, you seriously need to train your staff to give honest explanations...or may be this is your staff training?
I buy a couple of kitchens a year but never from Wickes and this is the reason why. No the wonder the stores are always empty with customer service like this.

Have recently over several visits bought a selection of plants, stones and soil for my garden makeover. My things were easy to find and my plants are in great condition. Staff were friendly and helpful.

A young lad called Ross at Sunderland store. Bent over backwards to help me find the paint I needed. He was super helpful and very polite. A credit to your company. Thank you Ross.

My experience with Wickes has been amazing. Sue made what could have been a very stressful process completely seamless, and I cannot thank her enough for her help.

appalling service, the designer just didn't want to serve us and tried anything and everything not to do a kitchen design for us, so we left and went elsewhere. Kept telling us we cant do this, don't have that you will get this cheaper elsewhere… she just did not want to serve us and had a attitude. Extremely poor

Went to get floor tiles billy was straight away ready to help. Showed me where the tiles were explained what else I would need for fitting. Lifted tiles on to the trolley pushed the trolley to the car and loaded them in the car. All I had to do was pay. Made the whole experience much better. Thank you again billy

Very friendly and knowledgeable staff in completing a full kitchen replacement and redesign. Kept up to date on any changes in good time and good selection of external contractors who were very professional and courteous during the job and ensured all happy at the end.

I visited your store in Sunderland this morning. Was helped by a guy called Billy. Billy was exceptionally helpful trying to find summer linen paint as this was showing 3 tins in stock. Billy literally took his time and looked everywhere. Unfortunately for me he couldn’t find it. However I wanted to say a huge thanks for his customer service skills. He really did care. Alex also helped me. So thanks to your staff. It’s rare to come out of a store feeling like the staff want to help you. Great work Wickes for finding excellent employees. They should be rewarded!

We had our kitchen designed by Susan Taylor at the Sunderland Wickes store. Her help and advice was invaluable throughout the process and she was there at the end of the phone to help with any questions we had. Overall a really great experience made so much easier by Susan
